We just got back from 8 days at WDW on Friday. We checked in the previous Thursday afternoon. Our reservation was split because we added another day after we scheduled the original trip; we had to have one ressie on the 24th and the other was to start on the 25th. On the 24th we were staying in the tower, MK view then the rest of the trip Tower, Bay Lake view. We rode ME from the airport. When we got off the bus, there was a cast member waiting at the door for us, acting like he'd been waiting for us (don't know if they do this all the time). He walked us over to the desk and introduced us personally to the cast member behind the desk. He starts punching in our information and says, "OH, I think you'll like this room!" and tells me we'll be staying in a 2 room suite on the 14th floor. I thanked him as I didn't have any idea as to what he was saying! As we turn around, there's another cast member waiting to escort us up there, who greets us by name. Well, this two room suite??? OMG:lovestruc The door to the room opened to a larger foyer, which entered into a living room on the right and dining room (with a full sized table that would easily seat 8) on the left! On each end of the suite there was a bedroom, one with a king sized bed and the room was HUGE. The other room had two queen sized beds, huge armoire, dresser, desk area, very large room. Off the dining room was kitchenette/bar area with microwave, refrigerator, etc. Did I forget to mention there were FOUR full sized bathrooms; one with a marble shower the size of a half bath with water jets from the side and top! And, the view...the entire 'wall' that faced the lake was glass doors, there were four balconies with entry from any room, easily 2 1/2 times the size of a normal CR balcony complete with tables and chairs. We sat outside and watched the movie shown on the beach from our balcony. And the sun rise the next day was so beautiful. We had full access to concierge lounge which was unbelievable and we watched/listened to Wishes from there. I can't say enough about the beautiful and spaciousness of these rooms. I emailed my travel agent and she said it was the Vice Presidential Suite! The next day my husband went down and thanked them and to get our next room assignment, which was supposed to be a tower room, Bay Lake view. Instead we were moved to the 12th floor concierge with a MK view for the rest of our trip! We could see and hear Wishes every night from our room! Now, I did not EVER see the Dream Squad in the parks but this was so fabulous, if I had, I would have felt greedy. To make this that much sweeter, my mom died on the 13th, 11 days before we went. WDW is our happy place so we kept the trip and man, it was the best one yet~ Cindy

awe that is awesome!! you guys def needed it! wdw def can make the worse things feel much better

Thank you both! It was just too good to not share. I am somebody who NEVER wins anything. Now my kids' are talking about when we go back next year...uh...that's not in the plan right now! ;)

So sorry to here about your Mom, I'm glad you kept your trip.

Congrats on the upgrade, this is why we stay on property, for all the little extra Disney Magic!

Wow! Congrats! The same thing happened to me last year, it was overwhelming.

Some friends of mine came down last summer and we stayed at the Poly for 2 nights, then were to move to CR for 1 night with a tower MK view. When my friend checked us in at CR they said "I see you're on the 14th floor" and she very nearly DIED! We were in the Presidential Suite (I believe) on the MK side and it sounds almost exactly like your room; we had a great view of Wishes from our balconies, personalized Welcome letter from the concierge staff and chocolates...when we walked into the suite they had the "dream" music playing on the computer...total Disney magic, and of course I started crying! The concierge staff were SO nice, I wish I could remember their names, the two gals who worked the desk. We'd never even dreamed of staying concierge before much less in a suite and they were both so sweet to us and happy that we'd gotten the upgrade; I imagine they get some pretty demanding people sometimes in those rooms. Anyway, they got us a last-minute dinner ressie at Concourse Steakhouse and we brought back one of them a salad (she'd been talking about how good they were and she hadn't had one in a long time) and when we got back to our room there was a HUGE balloon bouquet along with a pile of canned sodas and bags of chips...just because we were nice to them :) Woke up early the next morning and went out on the balcony, laid in a lounge chair and watched WDW wake up! Leave it to Disney to make even a one-night stay absolutely amazing!

Glad to know that Disney is still spreading the magic at the CR. Don't know if it's an "official" dream, but it was one heck of a surprise!
