Morning everyone. Just 12 pages top read through this morning but I feel that I miss the fun!

Looking back - Angel, glad they got the lady who killed your friend's daughter. Can't believe anyone would be so callous as to try and burn the car to get away with it!

Birkner - sorry to read the horrendous story about your first husband. How lovely to meet someone else so special to spend your life with. Looking forward to meeting you both.

Now, I obviously missed something along the way. What is DOD?

My 60th is on Easter Sunday(March 23rd) next year and I didn't want to go on vacation then for a few fairly obvious reasons, so this trip was ideal to celebrate. However, is 6 weeks later too late to celebrate onboard?

Now, on arriving in LA we are hoping to hire a car to drive on up to SF, but on the port site it gives Enterprise as the car rental company onsite, and they close on Sundays!! Any other ideas anyone? I told you yesterday I was worrying about it!

I love the logo! What are we going to do with it?

In the last 24 hours we have decided that:

If you are going to be part of the DOD club, 2 drinks is the minimum, there is no maximum. Disignated walkers are being assinged to the DOD club members to ensure they will make it back to their cabins and avoid unplanned and/or unwarranted pajama parties!

There are a whole lot of Lauras, Loris, and Lisas on this cruise. Shouting one of these names at anytime will result in multiple people looking at you to see what you want.

Brisully knows where to get the biggest martini's made on the ship!

Life is too short to not take your kids out of school and on vacation as a family. Appreciate your loved ones and give them lots of hugs and love.

We play much nicer than some people on another board doing the opposite cruise of us.

Dismeets are being planned all over the place. If you are an organizer, PM me so I can add you to the page 1 info.

I went to Foothill - one of the feeder schools to Northgate!

OK, have to jump in too, I went to Las Lomas, a rival of Northgate! Then moved to Martinez from Walnut Creek and had to go to College Park (EW).

If we do do (double entandre) a meet, we could use our wine shop. We will be expanding to a larger space in April and it is in Benicia.

See I knew I felt right at home here!

People always ask if my name comes from scrapbooking and the answer is no. I was finally signing up for the Dis after lurking for ages and was trying to think of a name for myself. I could not think of anything good at all. Then after realizing I was listening to the dvd "Singalong Songs, Disneyland Fun" for like the millionth time it hit me. The song my son loved to sing into a make up brush ( he was 2) Making Memories. I know among this crowd there must be a dozen or more of you who have this really old tape or dvd. It is a sing along filmed at Disneyland many years ago, they released it again for the 50th and we have it on dvd. It really gets the kids excited about upcoming trips to see the Disney resort on tv.

We still own almost all of them on VHS. We have them up at the Bodega house for renters kids.

Our DD is almost 12 (on friday!) and even enjoys them still on occasion (when I beg.)

Hi. Well I don't think it was too frosty for some reason, as it was coooold - at least not on the ground and roofs etc. Perhaps the cars were covered like yesterday, I didn't notice!!! I was too busy on here!

Ah thanks for the dod info. I won't be signing up for that then, only drink an odd glass of wine, which does help with the cruise finances somewhat!

Good morning all!

I have been trying very hard to limit my time on the computer. Things just seem to pile up around the house if I don't.

When the info about the PC cruise became available, I asked our daughter Katie to put together a few designs for door magnets. I thought they were cute and entered them into the contest. Being fairly new at this, I was unaware of the size restrictions for signature pictures.

It has been pointed out to me that when her designs are resized they are difficult to read. I apologize for this.

I have put the Mickey Map logo in my Sig, so you can see how it looks,now, meeting the height requirement of 200 pixels.

She will be reworking the Mickey Map design as requested.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. If you wish to choose another logo, I understand completely.

Thank goodness only a few pages to catch up on this morning...have to go in to work early so I can leave early to PLAY WITH FELLOW DISers and CRUISEMATES! Jealous because sister is taking the afternoon of to take them horseback riding. What a terrible, tragic story!! My heart and prayers go out to your friend and her family. I agree life is too short. When I was 29 years old, I lost my first DH to a drunk driver. He was run off the road, went over a cliff and was killed. The driver called in the accident, ran away and was never found. I too agree life is too short.

They never close school for cold weather here. I guess the school board would be afraid we'd be closed all of January. I would have loved it if they would have cancelled school this morning. I was faced with below zero weather and I had committed to a sub. teaching job today. Really didn't want to drag myself out there. Then I had a real stinker of a class today. Doesn't happen often, but they really decided to act up for the sub. today. I'm teaching preschoolers later in the week. What was I thinking taking on that assignment? Let you know how it goes.

I grew up in the burbs of Chicago. They would only close school if it was -15 degrees.

We did get to bring our lunch to school if the temp fell below zero.

Well I actually answer to Aunty Brat. Thats what the kids call me. Don't even ask where it came from while on the boards,but asked me after a couple DOD and I will tell you!!

I have to go and work on my Alaska cruise and laundry or I will be naked and cold and without a drink of the day!!!

Here's a photo of our Brat, she'll be an Aunty in July. Her big sis gave her the nickname and it has stuck. You can't see it in the photo but her shirt says Brat as well. She's our logo designer.
