The banner looks fabulous! And what a great get together!!! It makes it all just a little more real, which is a fun thing to think about!
MANY pages to read as I have been away for two days: trying to get stuff done, and one of my students (law school) had a personal crisis, so was trying to help him, which while an entirely necessary thing to do, impeded my ability to keep up!
Brooklyn and family, and another thanks for your husband's service.
Laura, I too was worried that you were off drowning your sorrows in the beverage of your choice! Sounds like it certainly could have been worse. And yes, you don't need two names, you are famous! (infamous?!).
And speaking of laundry, has anyone ever seen portable (i.e., tablets) that are sensitivity-type detergent? The best I found was a relatively petite box, all things considered, of Ivory baby detergent. I hope that's OK for my dh, he is allergic to anything that's not a "free" type product. I wonder if I should try do a patch test, but I don't want to open the box as it is nice and leakproof now. He says he has used Ivory soap before w/o issue, so I assume it is ok, but it wouldn't be good to have a bad allergic reaction during the cruise. We have a Miele frontloading washer, so use HE detergent (Persil free), which is not suitable to bring with for a regular machine. Does anyone else have this problem?
And I am not quite sure what to call a group of Cynthias (Brooklyn, despite the fact that this is not a common name, there's a whole bunch of us on this cruise) except not very quiet!
Summer weather here in Chicago all of the sudden, and right now, thunder and lightening. I think it's telling me I am up way too late...
