Are we bored at work Nancy?

Also, you should have the 666 and the 6666 posts. :lmao:

So who will get the big 10,000?

Can I get back to you in 5 minutes please?

My money is on the "Number Boy".:)

Morning, y'all. I am so happy today. I have nothing but housework to do today. NO BASEBALL/SOFTBALL GAMES TODAY!:cool1: I like going to my kids games, but because all three are in different leagues, it gets so hectic on some days. My boys have practice today, but the field is right behind the house, so I don't have to go.

May is such a busy month for kids, isn't it? Field trips, science fair, sports, end of school award ceremonies...........WHEW! For you parents who work outside of the home, I say wow, how do you do it?

I know what you mean. We actually have had a quite year this year. We took our youngest, Mackenzie out of dance, and gymnastics in order to save for the cruise. But before we had dance on Monday nights, gymnastics on Saturday mornings. Then we have our oldest who has not done much for the last year. She used to have girls scouts on Wednesdays, then there is Kyle who hasn't done much either. However with school alone there is always something to do. Kyle has a play tonight for school. The kids school is a commute for us so it is about 30 minutes each way. Kelsey has a worlds fair one night next week, she had a junior high program this pastTuesday night. Then she has promotion in 2 weeks. I just can not keep up right now. I do work outside of the home. But luckly I had today off so I got to take Mackenzie to the zoo for the day. Yippy some one on one time with my little on.

  It worked!!!!!!!!!!!

Arent they cool!

It makes them look like poloroids!

They are just shots of Ellis that were in my pc already - just experimenting!

Some were Greece last year, 1 from his first ever football match, 1 with his new baby cousin Jack, 1 as a pirate - outfit he'll wear on the cruise if it still fits, 1 as a shepherd for his school play, 1 with Daddy in Rose and Crown Epcot, 1 at a wedding, 1 in my tinsel wig from an Abba tribute concert:lmao: , and 1 inside Bruce:goodvibes

I'm so chuffed they've worked!

The pictures looked great. I am not into scrapbooking or anything like that but those look really nice. Did you have to put a lot of time into it? You family looks great.

Paige,

Do you remember which night/restaurant you had those two dishes in? The both look really good.

Jeff, keep in mind that those were taken on the 3 day cruise. They were for pirate night, Parrot Cay. The beef was good, but I could've eaten a whole plate of shrimp!

Hmmm...I looked at both the Pirate Night and Parrot Cay menus and I couldn't find anything describing either one. Nonetheless, they both looked good.

You know you could pick items from different dishes and have you're own made to order plate. I do that on the nights that they have the grilled shrimp and scallops. I ask for a skewer of each to go with what I order. There are other nights I mixed a couple of dishes. If you see 2 things you like, order smaller portions of each on one plate. You may have main items form 2 different meals and the side from a third. Have them make what you want. :thumbsup2

Quiet night tonight. Where are all the US DISers? The UKers are sleeping, so they have an excuse.

Paige, didn't you say there was no activities today with the kids? Doesn't that mean you could DIS all day/night?

O.K., it's been almost an hour since my last post. In that time, I could have posted a minimum 60 times. That would have been 4 pages. I don't think I could have posted that many messages.

Anyhow, it's time for me to go to bed.

See you all in the morning.

What time you getting up Nancy? If I roll myself out of bed on the first alarm, I'll be up at 5:30 and on the computer by 5:40. Need to do work in the morning, but always have time to check the DIS first. :thumbsup2

Anyone out there tonight. I just got back from my DS's choir performance. Now I am just trying to balance the check book and make a grocery list. Yippy

As promised, here are the rules of the DIStag game for the new Konked Kruisers.

I think we need to set a deadline for participating as some of our KK's are leaving home up to 2 weeks before cruising and they'll need the updated list. So how does Sept 1st sound? Anyone wanting to play with us will have to let us know by then. Fair enough?

All DIStag participants will purchase a small gift from their hometown to give to all taggers. We will receive a spread sheet made up by your's truly, at our first DISmeet (time and place still to be determined). In addition to the spread sheet you will receive some sort of magnet. The list will look something like this:

JLDSMD Jeff Cabin 1234
cntkg1 Nancy Cabin 6576
oybolshoi Brenda Cabin 6580 (I'm STILL not giving up :lmao: )
LindyLoo Linda Cabin 4321
etc.....

You will start with the person listed directly below your name. Deliver your "gift" and leave the magnet at the top of their cabin door. Should your "gift" be too large to fit in the 'fish mail holder', locate any Stateroom Host/ess and request they take your gift directly into the room. When someone leaves you a gift and the magnet, deliver your surprise and received magnet to the next person on your list-and so on. When you get to the last person 'participating' at the bottom of the page (LindyLoo in our example)...start at the top of the list (JLDSMD). Continue until you get to the person listed above YOUR name.

So if I've still managed to confuse you, this is the skinny of it all...

Jeff takes one of his gifts and his magnet. He tags Nancy's door with the magnet and puts his gift on the 'fish mail holder'. Now he waits until someone tags his door. (In our example LindyLoo would start with Jeff). He will take that new magnet and a new gift and tag Brenda's door. He waits again until he gets tagged and then tags Linda's door and leaves behind a gift.

So this means if we have 20 DISers who want to play tag, we will each have to bring 20 little gifts.

We have all week to play and we'd probably cut it off on Thursday. Any leftover gifts at that point can just be left on fish mail holders without tagging with the magnets.

When we played this on our other cruise the gifts were anything from personalized pencils, bumper stickers, candy, yummy hometown recipes (Yorkshire pudding mmmmm), keychains, playing cards etc.... Most were packed in gift baggies and labeled with the name of the DISer who left it behind.

It really was tons of fun (for us anyway) and we only ran into one snag. One DISer's entire family got sick and he had to bail on us halfway through the game. We all just continued on anyway without the magnets.

Brenda, does this sound like I covered everything?

If you'd like to play, just add your name to the "DIStag" table on the Yahoo site and edit to answer "Yes" to the DIStag column on the "Konked Kruiser Inventory" table on Yahoo.

Still confused? That's ok..so am I!!:lmao:

Ok so I think I understand how to play. You say that it will be a total of 20 correct. Is there still room to add me. I think this would be a fun game to play. My mind is already spinning with what I could do as gifts. Let me know if I can join.

Can I ask who everyone used as their TA. We have always used AAA but are now looking at other means of booking trips. Any suggestions would be great.

I guess being on at night no one else is on so off to bed it is. I have the day off again tomorrow but I will be at my moms taking care of her. I will check DIS before I go and when I get home. Wish me all the luck in the world. I am going to try to get my mom out of the house and see if she can walk the length of 2 houses. If we don't get her walking soon she wont be walking on the cruise.

Oh I almost forgot my DH wanted me to explain my name of MinnMick01 and my email address for those of you that have seen it on the other site. He is so proud of himself for this one. We took his kids to Disneyland for their first time back in 2000. While there he proposed to be at Cinderellas castle right when the fireworks ended. My ring was not done being fitted for me when we went on the trip so he got a ring at the park that was 3 diamonds in the shape of mickey and used that ring until we got back home and my ring was done. It had to be redesigned in order to make it smaller for my fingers. So our nicknames for each other are mickey and minnie, (I have a mickey tatt), and we were married in 01. That way I never forget what year we got married in. So if he gets on and asks yes I told the story.

What a great story! I would love a Mickey ring with REAL diamonds!! :cool1:

Well another hour on the elliptical...whew this eating healthy and working out sucks sometimes!

We went to look at a house today. For those of you who don't know already, we've been looking for a new place for several months now but the housing market in Calgary is just ridiculous!! Anyway, we found a house we really like and it suits us well and the guy who owns it is really nice so I really hope it works out for us. I really don't want to move again, we have so much crap! And the extra expense really sucks but I really do like this place and this is the first place I've seen in about 6 months that I am really excited about!

It's a little too expensive to buy it outright right now but hopefully if it works out we will try to do a rent-to-own thing. The rent is $2000/month  but it's actually quite decent compared to other similar houses in Calgary.

If you wanna peek at it, here's the link:

Cass what a wonderful house, very, very beautiful and quite grand for English standards, with a wide frontage. fingers crossed for you that this all works out for you.

MinnMick01 whata lovely romantic story! and a well cool name. Like you say, you will never forget the year you got married ! :thumbsup2

I lost 2lb this week

Making a total of 9lb. In a month.

Im quite large, so sadly its not really noticable yet:sad2: , but I feeling fitter in myself. Its soooooooooooo hard to lose, and so easy to put on! Why cant it be the other way around :confused3

You guys are quite famous, as once I weighed in, my friend said "You had better go and put that on the DIS!!!":rotfl2: I guess your motivation and the fact I will see you all in Oct, is keeping me on the straight and narrow !

We booked directly with DCL, on board rebooking actually, but will be transferring out to AAA to get an extra room discount (Cat 1 - 9 = $150, Cat 10 -12 = $50).
