p.s. I posted one link to a eb@y auction and got a 30 point infraction!!! So watch out there are lurkers out there!

Lori
Very cute!

all right, this might sound really dumb, but how do you make those ruffles on the end of the jeans and stuff???? i just dont have any idea how to do that!!

i'd love to make a twirl skirt, but dont think i could pull it off!! lol!!

One thing I hate to do it gather. Putting net on something just makes me go over the edge. Anyway, you can get a "ruffler" for your machine. It's a foot. I don't use it often, mostly when I have a large project. Maybe this would be easier for you to try.

Here are a couple pictures of my DS in his Disney gear, the shorts in the first pic have mickey heads on the sides (they were a little tight).

And a pic of my DD in one of her outfits. The shirt and skirt are from two different sellers. I bought all the Disney gear off Ebay except for the family shirts posted pages ago ;)

I think the "family pic" from that ebay search is just weird! Maybe they are hoping to get noticed??? :goodvibes jen

I REALLY like the Minnie head...rinestones maybe? Very cute and different that the others!

Where is everyone finding these really cute fabrics?

I think the pink Mickey fabric was from Walmart

What about the others?

I will have to make a trip to WM, but it is a trip to get there so let me know what else to look for.

I hit Ebay about once a day to see if someones posted something new. I've bought most of mine from there since no one is this area has much. Walmart and JoAnne is out extent, and they are out in a few days and months to replenish.

Does this fabric really go for quite a bit? I bought an outfit a while back with this fabric and got a good price, I guess I got lucky b/c now that I did an ebay search they are going for a lot! WooHoo! I love it, I believe I posted a pic of dd in it the other day!

No the fabric I got was 15.00 I think for the three uncut yards plus 4 bucks shipping maybe? It was not expensive.

Can I just throw a suggestion out there to all the Ebayers? If you are going to make a cute Ariel dress and put it on your daughter, and then take pictures of her in it to put on Ebay, make sure her face is clean and there is NOT SNOT running into her mouth!!! EWWWW!!!!

Oh my gosh...someone please tell me where to find the auction. I have to see this. :rotfl: I tried an Ebay search, but I couldn't find it.

I'm VERY interested in learning to sew some simple styles - pillowcase dresses/tops, twirl skirts, and maybe even some applique (don't know how difficult that is!).

I haven't been brave enough to applique yet, but I made my pillowcase dress using these instructions: http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/2004/06/done_is_better_.html (I can't take credit for finding the directions. Someone else posted them earlier in this thread, but I'm reposting for convenience.)

I also have these instructions for a twirl skirt: http://sew-whats-new.com/CMS/content/view/211/46/ and http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/70038/make_your_own_boutique_twirl_skirt.html (Again, someone else posted these earlier in the thread.) That's my next project.

I haven't been brave enough to try applique yet, but good luck and happy sewing!

Found it!!! And died laughing!!! I cannot believe someone would post that pic!!! Sick, sick, sick but yet rather funny in a twisted way.

Gathering more evenly. Sew a basting stitch (longest stitch on your machine) all the way around the skirt. Using pins mark the half points (fold skirt in half), then the quarter points (fold in half again) if needed mark the eighth points. Now gather one section at a time. Take a pin and gently pull a stitch at one of the points and gather that section. When the section is gathered tie a knot in the thread (don't cut the thread) so it won't slip out and move on to the next section. If needed you can go back to a knotted section and gather more. Hope that make sense.

Sorry, I didn't inc. the quote. What are the key words?

First the creepy guy, now this.

Cute kids, cute clothes. I am off to "attempt" a Pluto Poodle skirt. Here goes nothing. It will probably take me till tomo to finish it since I have to work around a rambunctious 4 yr old and when she sleeps..LOL First I have to go find the snotty Ariel outfit. You find really good ones Theresa. That guy is still imbedded in my brain. LOL

This is the cutest Idea. I keep thinking about it. Wouldn't it be perfect to wear to MGM, especially if you have a meal at Prime Time?

There really is no way that you wouldn't have noticed that the child had snot in her mouth, so it was on purpose, but why???

I showed the picture to my husband and he said, "Is that Lydia?" Well, she does look a little like Lydia, and Lydia often has a snotty nose, (which we try to keep wiped) but geesh, did he really think I would post a picture of her like that on Ebay?
MEN!:sad2:

We go in early September. Designed*by*Dena is going to make a Jojo set for me.

She's making a set for me too! I couldn't resist!

Is it sad that I'm planning a trip just so Destiny can wear her outfits? DH thinks it's even sadder that I plan trips to Disney like everyone else even though we live in Orlando? He just doesn't understand that Disney is my :cloud9:

We do have ressies at PT. I figure a t-shirt and a skort (type thing) would be comfy and practical. Someone posted a challenge and since I was almost done with the shirt I figured...why not? :lmao: I still need one of those gauzy scarfs the girls wore in their hair. I cant find one cheap anywhere that matches. I refuse to pay more then a buck for a 1 time use. I figure a red one will work with the rest of the colors of the outfit. Anybody got one I can borrow?:goodvibes

I just PMed you about the boutique Little Mermaid dress.
WOuld you mind PM'ing me too. I cant find it. :sad2: That we cant just give out the sellers name or something simple like that. Yeesh...like anyone is gonna buy something with snot on it:rolleyes1

I was told that we can post Ebay usernames, but I just don't want to risk it!
