V-have you ever heard of Dream Dinners (www.dreamdinners.com) or super suppers (www.supersuppers.com)? Basically you go there and prepare 12, six serving meals that you then take home, freeze and thaw out when you're ready to cook them. When you go to prepare your food, they have stations where the recipe is listed and all the fresh ingredients are already cut, diced, etc. there for you...all you have to do is measure, prepare and put it in the container and slap an instruction label on it. It costs around $200 and the times I went, I split my meals into two containers so I came home with almost 24 meals. They taste much better than frozen dinners and it's great to have it all ready to cook...something to check out if you're household is busy!!!
Oooooh! I checked out the sites and we have a Dream Dinners in our city! I had never heard of it, but it looks like a great idea. And they have an introductory offer of 3 meals of 6 servings each for $49.50 total. I'm going to try to do a session on 8/30, depending on how much the electrician is going to cost me to put in an outlet to plug in my water heater. :sad2: That mess should be all over with this week.

I know , scary huh LOL
Well next 4 days will be work and sleep LOL
I think im getting too old for nights though, dont sleep as good as I used to during the day but love not dealing with the hospital politics day nurses have to.

Im thinking we might do that pirate excursion too, my "2" kids ( dh and dd lol) would love that one.

Anyone know of the Aruba excursions to do with kids? Know alot of people go there for the bar scene, which is fine but we'll have Beth.
Dont worry though Holly I can help you stagger back to ship if need be LMAO
My very own, personal designated walker! :thumbsup2

OK....we'll know why if we don't see any posts from you for a few days. Try to squeeze some sleep in those long days if you can!

so potty training is going well...I am excited at the thought yet really saddened. My family is not large nor DH's and he has always expected a team of some sort. I would love about 3 more children but, wow, finances don't agree!!

Holly - aren't you on my jeep list for Aruba? Invite your friend too!

ETA: I contacted several rental companies for a group rate on jeeps and have a great map or "tour" of the island that we can all do together.

I am the same way....I am not sure how Canton is, but Cleveland overwhelmed me as does the whole of Orlando.
I like to arrive to my destinations (daily) on a no more that 15 minute basis. I would probably choke in a big city.

Cleveland (even Public Square) is NOTHING like NYC - no comparrison. NYC was literally shoulder to shoulder people all over midtown and Times Square. There were so many people in Times Square it was literally overwhelming. It was kind of cool for awhile - but with a 7 year old in tow a bit of a challenge.

Riding in a NYC taxi is another experience alltogether - although they are not allowed to honk anymore. If I had to do the same driving, I would NEVER make it. They literally squeeze in inches from other cars and almost collide at every intersection!

When Josh and I pulled into the port of Los Angeles, we took a rental car to one of the close rental car places. It was less than $20 I think. Then we drove to DL.

Lisa- it’s not a bad deal then- 6 servings from each entrée is pretty good. The one by me seems to offer times when there’s no minimum too.. so I could try out 1-2 entrees and see how we like them.

You guys must have come in on a day other than Sunday! If Enterprise would only open up, that would solve our problems...I'm pretty sure they're walking distance from were the Magic comes in! Oh well!!

funny thing is, my mom asked about it a year or so ago, at that time no workshop here - they would have to go to Brandon and I thought at 2-3 years old, she would rush through it and not appreciate it. Now she is begging to go!

Yep, time to call Grandma. :)

So I found out yesterday that my friend Shelly and her husband and 3 kids will be at WDW the last week of November too! They're staying somewhere onsite, I don't remember where, but she was so excited when she found out I'm trying to figure out if Tyler and I can go that week too. With Heather and her family already in Florida, and my best friend going too, it looks like I should try really hard to make this happen! Her family is driving down to be able to have more money to spend once they're there, so maybe I should consider a mini-convoy with them. ;) She told me it took 18 hours last time they did the drive, so I'm not too sure about that. Yuck. Probably will end up flying.

BUT first I need to get my water heater situation taken care of. All the details are almost worked out. The only thing left is to get an electrician and find out how much it will cost to add a 220 outlet. So hopefully this week it will all be done and behind me!

We know some people who rented a van larger than the number of travelers in their two families and the adults took turns driving. The kids entertained each other and they made record time to WDW from northwest Indiana--not too much farther than Lansing..... Instead of staying on site, they rented a house nearby and shared the cost of that. She said it was a savings for everyone. I am not sure I have any friends I could live that close to for that long, but she said it was fun.

glad you are back!! I will admit a lot is my babble!!
I just LOVE having a fellow babbler! :rotfl2: And just think....School doesn't start for me until Sept. 6, so until then, I can let the DIS take over my life again! :rotfl:

Well there was a knock at the door and it was my mom. She understands just think my delivery could have been a bit better, which I agreed. So I think she is over it by now.

Glad that is resolved!

Yup, I am! Hmmm....I can't remember if I mentioned it to Cindy (roommate on the cruise). Cindy? Are you reading? Wanna rent a jeep in Aruba and drive all over rugged terrain for fun? Heather? You & Tom & Bethany wanna come too?

Well,

After possibly one of the WORST return from vacation work days I have ever had, I am beat, and need to go to bed soon. Since I have no backup at the office, what they had to muddle through, they totally muddled up. Twice as much stuff for me to clean up. Lack of common sense in many instances.

I really need a support person - and cannot get the boss to replace the person who quit months ago. Another person that I had well-trained (but who did not like the job) quit for another job a couple of weeks ago. She was very competent.

This is why I need to get motivated with starting my own practice again.

I enjoyed the Luxor as well - I try and hit a different hotel each time I go, but the last few we were lucky and stayed at the Venetian with friends. I really loved "RED SQUARE" I cannot for the life of me remember which hotel it is in, but they have a bar that has a frozen top to set your drinks down to keep them cool. China Gate restaurant is in the same hotel...

We were lucky and saw "LOVE" last trip - AMAZING show! Have a GREAT TIME!

That is the russian bar that is at Mandalay Bay, its a very nice bar to sit and relax and have a drink at. It is right next to the Luxor. They also have the House Of Blues there which has the best cobb slad in the world. YUM!

That sounds like fun. Any other kids going?

Poor Tyler. Everybody is giving him different advice about his stupid loose tooth. When I picked him up from his dad's Saturday, his stepmom told me he can push the tooth all the way down to the front, so she asked him to try to push it all the way to the back and it hurt and bled a bit. DUH! Obviously it's not ready to come out yet because it shouldn't hurt. Geez! Just let the kid let it come out on its own! Then yesterday, Tyler told me his dad told him if the tooth hasn't come out by the time he goes to his dad's next (which will be Wednesday), he'll pull it out with his pliers! His hockey coach told him to just twist it and keep twisting it until it comes out. So he was trying to push it really far on the way home from hockey and fortunately I had just pulled in the driveway because he almost screamed in panic and pain, "My tooth! My tooth! It's stuck! Help me mommy! It hurts! It hurts!" It was indeed stuck all the way forward, lying flat, but he couldn't get it back standing up. I was able to get it up for him. Not sure what that was about, but he was scared and threw his arms around me and clung to me for a few minutes until he stopped crying. He never does that! I think he's just feeling pressured by everybody ragging him about it. I keep telling him he can leave it alone and it will come out by itself because it shouldn't hurt. If it hurts, it's still too attached to come out yet. Poor little guy. :sad2: Sure, maybe I should have just yanked it out when I had a chance, since he was already traumatized, but he said it hurt, so I just didn't have the heart to pull it.

Man you guys are the jab jaws lately...I've been trying to catch up for a few days, but the posts just keep coming...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: None of the girls here seemed interested in beer, but I DID ask if I can be an honorary Beer Boy! :lmao:

hello did you say BEER?????

So how does one become a Champagne Girl? Hmmm Palo's - brunch YUMMY!

OH - I forgot to tell you all... my friend who has a time share in PV said they did a great HORSEBACK ride - and she's going to get the info for me to share with you for a possible excursion there - if anyone is interested.

:surfweb:

Didn't PJ say she's up for that, or was that you? Molly has it in her mind to go too....but neither Paul or I are riders...wanna take along her as your "daughter" that day???

Sounds like what I SHOULD be doing today - instead I'm going to the San Diego Scrapbook Expo for the day and then going over a friend's house after to continue scrapping this evening.

Everyone have a great day!

Went to the San Jose Expo last week with my sis. It was ok. Not as good as the one we went to in Pleasanton (~ 30 miles north) we have my mom's China book almost done...50 pages...a labor of love.

I don't want to get flamed here because I know many people are very close to their parents, but families are complicated things, and for me the idea of my dad being on a cruise with me would pretty much be my worst nightmare. :scared1:

Don't get me started on MIL issues...My MIL isn't talking to me, nor will she come to our home. Need less to say, things are not good in our relationship. The sad part is that she is hurting her grandchildren not to mention her son terribly. All of the crap with her just makes me really miss my own father all the more. He & my mom really went out of their way to always make events for our kids. MIL (&FIL) act as if they are bothered by the kids activities, or just come up with an "I'm sick" and don't attend. Long history and alcohol problems involved here so too sad and deep to get into completely.

Have fun with Thomas the train...my son used to love:love: Thomas for about 3 years and then in Kinder he thought it was babyish(I don't think so but its the peer pressure:sad2: )....Thomas brings good memories for us. Are you doing a Day out with Thomas...that is so much fun. We did that once at the tail end of his Thomas obsession. Have a good time:goodvibes

Wilson loved Thomas. We have TONS of Thomas stuff. Even made a train from a cozy car....I'll find a pic and post

Expensive? That store about melted Mickey on my Disney Visa! Just wait until your daughter is old enough . . . Did I tell you you can buy matching outfits for the doll and your daughter?

and truth be told, did she come home with a new doll????

We just got one of these in our town, my friend had a grea experience there, we are planning a trip together soon. Turns out we can share, perfect plan to save some $$$

Holly -

You are the ONLY one giving him the right advice. You should only do that stuff if it does not hurt anymore.

That sounds like fun. Any other kids going?
Oh my gosh, you're here again?! :rotfl: I've created a monster! :lmao:

But seriously...I don't know if any kids are coming. Lillygator (Vanessa) is keeping a list, so she'd know. And she has the details. I can't remember anything other than it's a really bumpy ride in spots.
