New update on Gingerbread Winnings- Honorable Mention and prizes!

I am astonished to read that some people are not nice to the winners only because of the way VMK mis leads some (~the most) of the participants with the way the results and prizes were announced, you could be not nice because you are jealous but not bc of the way it was announced.

Cita and I just left a room of about six players insulting us and telling us how ugly we look. Kind of takes the joy from winning you know what I'm saying?

That is horrible that players are treating you like this. Some people cannot control their jealousy. I'm sure if they won the outfit, they would be out there wearing it for all to see. Congrats on your win and don't let the green-eyed monsters ruin it.


For those who are asking VMK to award all those other prizes to all the participants, I think you will have a tough time convincing VMK to do that. With all the people who are trading the Donald gift box away, it sends VMK a message that a special participation prize really means nothing and is only wanted to be used for trading. I can't believe how many players have traded or are trying to trade their Donald gift. I bet the person(s) who decided to only give the gift box as the prize is now saying "I told you so".

I'm not surprised there are rude players harrassing the winners. But I am happy to say that I didn't notice any of that here, and I'm glad. But there is one point missed here. Even if we all got the outfits as a "participation" prize, they still cannot be traded. And the Donald gifts are tradeable.

I endured my little "Pink bashing party" when I was a grand prize winner last competition right here on the good ole' friendly DIS boards, but I don't see that happening this year AT ALL. Where in the world do you see people on this board being mean??

NOBODY here is upset with the winners. Nobody is being mean to them. We applaud them. Their rooms rocked. And they deserved those absolutely ADORABLE pink outfits (cry cry). We're upset with VMK. There's a HUGE difference.

I exchanged my Donald gift box with another "non-participant" friend, after we had both personalized the gifts with a special message. My gift box now means so much more to me than a blue outfit, top 10 pin, and orange gum drops (that we were originally promised) could ever mean. It has become a treasured possession of mine. Everytime I read the message, I will now remember the FUN times I had during the competition. And that's what it's all about.

I just want to say I know Pink had a difficult time when she won the other competition. Totally unjustified, and I think people here have been very supportive of all the winners this time. I know there has been bickering, but never aimed at the winners, or I didnt notice it.

What a great idea Pink!

My comment was only directed towards those who entered themselves or their multiple mule accounts to win a limited edition prize that they could use for trading. There were many players who wanted to enter the contest for the right reason, but weren't able to get in with the limited number of entries. Maybe VMK should make all future room building contest prizes non-tradeable and that may help with the problem. I don't see the Donald gift boxes going for anything big in value, so to me trading them away for items that you can acquire with just a little work or luck made me sad to see.

English is not my mother language and my mother language is not even a Germanic one and you misunderstood what I've said >_< here was used as IN THIS CASE and not ON THIS BOARD. Just because, I am not upset with the way VMK announced the result and the prizes because I firstly got it like it was finally announced doesn't mean I have some negativity against people on this board, but maybe some of you do against me.

Kasiks, I just want you to know, you do VERY good for someone doesnt speak english as a first language. You also seem to be very understanding when people mistake something you said that is a result of that fact.

Like See and Cita, I have had many negative comments thrown my way while proudly wearing my pink outfit. I have been on VMK since Day 1 and, other than inferno, this was the first prize I have won. I was so excited! However, after the first thirty minutes of wearing my new pink outfit, I was so tired of the negative comments that I tried to sell it. Fortunately, I was not able to sell it and am now very proud of the pink.

LittleBelle and other DISers made me feel much better the other night while we were hanging out in her awesome room.

I'm glad you couldn't sell your prize. People will be less angry over time and you will be able to wear your outfit without getting the bad comments. Pink was singled out on this board last year and was subjected to far too many nasty comments. I'm guessing she can wear her red space suit now without all the hassles. She probably can give the winners some idea of how long it takes for the nastiness to go away.

Pink, I will never forget how you were treated.
