I am very behind. Happy Birthday Tessa!

My mother sent this today, Megan's Easter dress. She embroidered the butterflies and ladybugs. It is so cute!

I know we are not supposed to be embarassed about their hair and stuff, but my five year old stamped her face and feet! What is she, 2? I was livid!

Jacob did not get an Easter outfit this year. He was most happy he got a book instead (I know Teresa and UMama will notice him reading in the background).

This is what I made from a storybook kit I got from :wizard: . I am very peased with it. I even made a headband (without huge daisy) from Teresa's bookmarks. Thanks Teresa!

I really made this for me. Bambi was always my favorite Disney movie. I prefered the animal movies to the princesses so I am happy she let me make this for her. And it goes with her Bambi panties (Thursday, Heather).

Did ya'll spot the hidden Scrappy? I cracky myself up!

Megan wet the bed last night so I have to go get her sheets out of the dryer and make up her bed. It is always a project because there are 50 stuffed animals on there.

Clearly wicked mad talent runs in the family! That embroidery work is breathtaking!!

wow!!

:rotfl2: that your little one STAMPED herself! My step son had marker on his MOUTH the other day and when I asked him why he said he wanted to "taste it"...he's nearly SIX for goodness sake...old enough to know better than to TASTE a marker!

Here is my easiest ever skirt (30 minutes including math!), I'm sure some of you have made it before, it is not exactly genious. :rotfl: And here is the "recipe":

Figure out how long you want it (in this case it was 20"), subtract 3" for the border strip, then add 1 3/4" for casing and seam allowances and cut that length the width of your fabric (45") so in this case I cut 18 3/4". I cut a strip of the border fabric 6 1/2"X 45", folded it in half, wrong sides together. I ironed it, then laid it on top of the right side of my big piece, raw edges lined up, then stiched a 1/4" seam allowance, serged my seam, turned serged edge up towards main body of skirt and topstitched it, then stitched the one side seam. I then serged the top edge of the fabric, or you can turn it under 1/4", then I turned it under about another 1 1/4 inch, then stitched around making a (1") casing, leaving an opening for my elastic, then threaded through some 3/4" elastic, sewed the ends together and stitiched my casing closed. Now I just need to make the peasant top to match! I like how it turned out! I only needed a tad over 1/2 yard of fabric for the skirt (could've made it with 1/2 yard) and 1/4 yard for the contrasting border.

it is hanging slightly askew in this photo, but she was making really goofy faces in the other photos!

IMG_0121-1.jpg

OH, and Steph, didn't you just make me a really cute purse to match this skirt? ;)

Okay, Sugarbees was over this morning taking some photos of Lily and Saylor in some of the bajillion little dresses she has whipped up and I had to post a couple of photos. I LOVE this dress! I had to make an effort not to buy it from her right then and there! And Lily was being silly!

IMG_0113-1.jpg

And this one crackys me up! Lily kept telling Saylor "DON'T TOUCH MY DRESS!" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I think Saylor is telling her what she thinks of that!
