Sherie's PJ - WP/White Hall Room/GF Marina Patio - Invitations

Don't worry about the gown! You can wear plain gowns for the rest of your life, now is THE chance to wear something dramatic!!!!

I should look dramatic, shouldn't I!!!

The food sounds indeed great, but my teeth hurt by hearing all the sweet stuff. Wedding cake, dessert, dessert party, ...
Over how many hours will you spread all this food??

All this food is part of one of the menu packages and I think it will be way too much food. During the pre-reception, instead of having two appetizers and a cheese display, I think I will just have a fruit display. I dont' want people to eat too much before dinner. During dinner, I am not going to have the cinderella slipper dessert because I want people to eat the wedding cake. The food will be eaten starting at 3:30PM and will end at 10PM.

KristineN is a very talented woman on the cruise boards who has volunteered to make signs for people to decorate their cabin doors. Here are the two signs she made for me:

For the people coming on our honeymoon!

Hi!!
I mainly am pretty quiet on these boards as I live all the way over in Australia!!! [BTW, am loving your PJ!]
Anyway, when I saw your dress and the concerns/thoughts you were having about it, it was so much like me! I got married last week in a very similar dress, and I was a bit worried as the date got closer about wearing such a big dress but on the day it was unbelievable.
Everyone basically gasped when they saw it, they will do the same for you!
I think you will look absolutely amazing. xxx

i love your dress too! The bodice is gorgeous!! We HAVE to meet up and get a pick of us together!! I about had a heart attack when I saw the 5 month ticker too... I spent all last night filling out our worksheet, which i had been procrastinating. I think it took like 45 minutes to pick our music! :rotfl2: i'm so bad at decision making!

Your dress is beautiful and you look great in it! You are right, your dress is very similar to mine and you do not look like a big cream puff ! :lmao:Thank you for your kind words and helping me to my mind at ease. I am hoping that when I go for my fitting and see the dress again, I will feel better about it.

That would be great if we could get a picture together! Where are you getting pictures done after the ceremony?

I am extremely bad at decision making! I have changed from the yacht club gazebo to Sea Breeze Point to the Wedding Pavilion. I haven't chosen any music yet because I can't decide and now I think I might change my cake and flowers! Thanks for the dress compliments. :goodvibes

October 31st - I was told that my ceremony (originally SBP) and reception choices were “tentatively” being held.

This may have been my fault! :worried: Hope you weren't too :furious:!! We would have liked to book WP, but a wishes just wasn't in the cards! i'm sure you will LOVE it though!!

Today I booked Ana from Beaute Speciale to do hair and makeup for the wedding and MK pictures.

ack, :rotfl2: Ok, we're even now methinks. I take SBP, you take Randy, I take Stan, you take Ana. :rotfl2: at least we're sharing!!

I booked the MK bridal portrait session as well. Would you believe they are not doing pictures for TWO WEEKS because someone is practicing for a new show in front of the castle. After the wedding, Alex convinced me to go back to Orlando for a few days so we are leaving on November 9th. I am lucky because the first available date for the pictures is November 9th!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: WHAT?!

Not sure, we just booked Misty. Do you have plans yet?? I'm half tempted to see if she'd go to the Yacht Club and take some pics of us on that pier by the lighthouse... it is just across the lake from SBP, right??

Originally I wanted to get married on the 31st but didn't want to pay the extra money because it was a Friday. I had SBP held on the 30th and then I changed to the WP (my parent's idea) in January or February. I would be happy with either because they are both really nice. It wasn't until recently that I thought just for a moment....if I am spending the Friday minimum amount anyway I could change to the 31st. I instead will keep everything as it is and try to reduce my BEO.

We will share! Everything will work out! You will have beautiful pictures, Misty does a great job.

I couldn't get my MK pictures done on the 31st, 1st, or 2nd. Lisa (goldeelox) and I are both on the Disney November 2-6 cruise so we couldn't get our pictures done until after that. She is getting hers done on the 7th,and the 8th is already booked. That is why I am on the 9th. I would call right away and see if they are doing any from the 3rd - 6th.

I have plans to get pictures done at the GF before the ceremony. Randy is coming to the Beach Club to take "getting ready" pictures so we are going to take some outside there as well. Come over! :goodvibes It is only a five or so minute walk!

Us DIS Brides and snatching up all the good dated for MK photos.......LOL

Cam you are absolutely right, it is the dress that I fell in love with and it is the one day that I can wear anything I want. I think part of the reason I am nervous is because I don't know how it will fit. The sample size I tried on didn't even do up in the back and they had to clip it on and I want some crinoline taken out from underneath so it isn't so poofy. Also, I think I will have a couple of people thinking: what is she wearing!! But oh well. I am sure when I see the dress again, I won't feel this way. Thanks for the words of wisdom! :goodvibes

I am a bit traumatized in this respect, as well. The gown I tried on was a size 8 or 10 and it only came to the edges of my back, so I have no idea what it will look like when it fits me (oh, and it was at LEAST 6 inches too long -- I am very short!). I am brainwashing myself into thinking it will be fine. ;)

I should look dramatic, shouldn't I!!!

It's good to hear others are thinking like us in this respect, too, though our reception is during the day (11-4), so we are even less inclined to go overboard on food. I am thinking we may want to just do fruits and pastries at the pre-reception, a multi-course meal at the reception including a duo plate, and no desserts other than the cake. We are going to have the cake plated with 2 pieces on each plate -- one of each layer so that everyone gets a piece of chocolate and a piece of whatever our other layer is. I really think the glass slipper dessert is so beautiful and so rich that people might not even touch the cake.

Your cruise signs are awesome! :lovestruc

Your dress will look great! I am very short, so short, I didn't even check to see how much too long the dress was! I am sure the seamstress will do a good job.

Thanks! Kristine did a really good job.

My old cake:

I really like the old cake and chose it so I didn't receive a Disney cake CD. After looking at one of the cake threads I decided to change to this cake. I think it was Pixie08's.

My new Disney cake:

I am going to keep the castle silver like it is with silver pearls. I am not going to put an initial on it but I am going to put pink orchids and roses on it. I love it!

Am loving the new cake, what could be more fitting than that for a Disney wedding. Good choice :thumbsup2
