1st trip to DL, 1st Anniversary, 1st time on the coast...COMPLETED!!

 I'm so sad your TR is done. I loved it so much, and it's made me super excited for myup coming trip. :woohoo: THANK YOU!!!

So did you find that PCH was a little unorganized as far as character interaction was? I'm wondering if it was just us because we had to flag down some of those characters just to get a pic!

I'm sad this is almost over...any future disney trips planned?

I enjoyed reading your TR. I want to model mine after yours (w/ lots of pics.) I refuse to do a pre-trip, in the event I never get around to doing it (I see that a lot around here lol.) But I have every intention on doing one. The key seems to be lots of pictures and keeping a daily journal. It will be fun. If we happen to have internet access in our room, I might just start it while we're there. That would probably work out best.

We just got an ApplebookPro (I think) that we haven't yet opened out of the box. http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/ I know nothing about laptops and don't care for them much either. But I do like Apples! It will be useful on our vacation.

I liked the breadbowl pic. I vaguely remember getting one on our first trip as a family. It is a must on this trip. My husband prefers Mexican food too, so we'll probably have to do the same thing you guys did for lunch. Don't know if any of this makes sense. I just took something to sleep, and am just now starting to feel it's effects.
I did not know the Main Street Cinema offered movies inside either. My kids would love the old black and white cartoons.

You have a great writing style and include lots of details! I am going back to DL for my 5th trip (recently moved to San Diego and have APs). I still learned so much from your report and have pages of notes! I enjoyed reading your other TRs while I was waiting for this one to finish. Great pix; they make it "real".

have Photopass added at the end???

:lmao:

Great job.... I'm glad you had such a great vacation/anniversary. You're hubby looks like an amazing guy... you both did good! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to future TR's

Melissa

Karen - sorry to see another great TR of yours is almost over, but again I thoroughly enjoyed following along!

Can't wait to see the Photopass pics!

And BTW - I like my eggs sunnyside up too, and I am from Canada. So definitely not a "southern" thing - LOL! Maybe he was giving you the wierd looks because it was an omlette station - but so what??? If that's the strangest thing he has heard, he must have lived a very sheltered life - LOL!:rotfl:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! :rotfl2: You know, I never thought of that...an omelet station and I was asking for eggs sunny side up! :rotfl2: :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the photopass pics. Those are always great!

Thank you! These did come out really good!!! i'm excited about them!

 I'm so sad your TR is done. I loved it so much, and it's made me super excited for myup coming trip. :woohoo: THANK YOU!!!

Awww thank you!!!! I hope your trip is very exciting and you HAVE to write a TR, too!!!! I'm glad you enjoyed reading this one! :goodvibes Thanks again!

YES it was a little unorganized. It was SO nice though because there were hardly ANY people in the restaurant. I guess that the morning "rush" had dissipated and the lunch people hadn't yet arrived. I think it was Stitch who just walked by our table and waved instead of stopping so we had to pull him aside later. I can't remember if it was him or not...could have been Pluto.
SADLY I have NO future Disney plans at the moment!!!! Next year, we are talking about a Disney Cruise but that's only IF Jason finds out his vacation dates soon. I don't think he'll find out until January. We like to try different Disney things that we haven't done together. So far, we have: Disney World for our Honeymoon; Disney World at Christmas (a lifelong dream of mine!); Disneyland; ???Maybe a Disney Cruise??? I sure hope so! We want to do a 7 day!! So exciting!!!! AND he gets two weeks of vacation next year so I was thinking that maybe we could go for a DW trip early in the year (during value season) and take a cruise later on in the year. We'll see if it happens or not!

Thanks again for reading my trip report!! :goodvibes

That's really cool! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I actually don't journal anything down. I let the pictures tell me the story and remind me of what happened that day. My brother just got a Mac book and he really seems to love it!! That'll be fun to have along for your vacation!

You won't have any problem finding the Mexican restaurant.....it's "connected" to the Mission Tortilla Factory and the sourdough place is right across from it. They sit side by side. You are making sense but I know what you mean about taking something to help you sleep and feeling strange......that's what Nyquil does to me!!! :rotfl2: The Main Street Cinema is a little room shaped like a circle. Inside are like 6 different screens (I never counted...might be 5) with different black and white cartoons playing on them. If you stand close to the screen, you can hear the sound effects/music/whatever plays along with that cartoon. It's really really cute!!!! Thank you again! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!!!! That's really cool...I'm glad you were able to get something from the report! That's what is so neat about trip reports...no matter how many times you've been, someone else will more than likely have something in their trip report that you've never seen before! Most of the stuff that I made note of were things that I had gathered from other people's trip reports! I'm glad you enjoyed the other trip reports, too!! Thank you thank you!! :goodvibes Hope you have a lot of fun on your trip!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well OF COURSE! You didn't know that?? :rotfl2:

Really, that's the way I did it for our Christmas report so I figured I'd do it that way again....and besides, I wasn't ready for this trip report to be over with! Makes me sad!! :( Especially since I have no future Disney trips planned at the moment!! Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you enjoyed reading along!! :goodvibes

Did you find out what is wrong with your camera??

Sorry I guess I never did quite say what happened to my camera, huh? Well, the flash DIED. Totally died. Thank goodness I have a 4 year warranty protection plan! They sent off my camera and I picked it up about a week later in full working order! I'm glad they were able to fix it!!!

Thank goodness. I'd hate my camera to die on me. Then again, I want a new camera. Not that I have the money to get one though hehehe

All of the food looks SO yummy! I'm trying to lose about 5 lbs before we go to AK in September and you're making it really hard! :rotfl2: Oh, and I love sunny side up eggs, too! You didn't ask for sweet tea in CA, too, did you? :rotfl:

I love watching the scenery on plane rides out west! Ahhh...I want to go on a big trip soon! WDW doesn't count for me because we're pretty close and never go for extended periods. What airline did you use? It seems pretty rare to get food for "free" on planes these days.

I'm glad you and Jason had a great time on your 1st anniversary. But, I'm so sad your TR has ended! :sad1: Thanks so much for sharing it with us! Do you have another trip planned? Oh, and I love Leroy!

MY husband had declared no more disney for a while. So we talked about a cruise because at least thats a different experience and still disney-ish for me. I like the idea of a land and sea package- makes us both happy! For now if I pitch any WDW plans to him I have to make it new and original or he's not going for it!

Darn, it's over! :sad1: I've really enjoyed your report, and it is also an excellent advertisement for Disneyland! :) Now I really want to go soon!

Leroy is too cute. How neat is it that you can get fastpasses, go to your hotel and swim and get back to the park in time to get on the ride using your fastpasses? That would be hard to do even at Disney. One advantage for DL.

DH and I are planning to go to Orlando for three nights over New year's Eve, however we're not going to Disney! :scared1: DH wants to go to SeaWorld and I do too, since I haven't been in almost 13 years.

But.....I am working on a plan to go in May 2009 for our 4th anniversary. I haven't worked out the details yet, because like you I have to wait for DH's work schedule to come out. Hopefully, that will work out because I would like to go during the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot.

I look forward to future reports from you! A cruise sounds wonderful!

I can't believe your report is over!!! I've really enjoyed the read! You and Jason really look like you had a WONDERFUL time in DL, and even made the best of your last few moments with the camera glitch and all! I'm looking forward to seeing your photopass pics.....I'm sure they're great! :goodvibes

Hey Karen. Just wanted to keep you updated. I finished Day 2 on my TR hehe Oh and all my videos are uploaded.

Oh my gosh, it is so hard to believe that you are up to your last day already, wow!!! Your last day looks like it was wonderful though, lots of fun, I had two different ressies at the PCH for breakfast and had to cancel them, it looks like a lot of fun though so I might have to get there at some point. I can't wait to see all your photopass pictures, those are always so great. I have super enjoyed being along with you on your trippie. It was great and can't wait to see those photopass pics. Awesome job Karen.:goodvibes

I had to laugh at that boy who was chasing the Dream Team!:lmao: I guess it worked since he had gotten fastpasses 3 times before! Sorry that your report has come to an end. However, I can't wait for the photopass pics! :thumbsup2

I've really enjoyed reading about your trip to Disneyland. It sounds like the both of you had a really wonderful time. It is sad to see if over. I was living vicariously through your trip and now I feel as if my trip is over too. Thank you.
Natalie

Awww so sad that its over! :sad1:

I live in MA and we eat our eggs "sunny side up" too! Weird that he looked at you funny!

I love your California shirts. They are too cute! :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the PhotoPass pics! :thumbsup2

I've loved all of your report, you guys are just to cute! The pictures have kept me excited about our upcoming trip and help make the countdown go by quicker.

I just loved your entire trip report, Karen! Thanks so much for sharing with us! And btw, I live in Illinois, and our eggs also get done "Sunny-side-up" as well as "over-easy"!! I never thought it was a southern thing at all!
