put up the outside Halloween decorations. Finally...:thumbsup2

Can somebody please knock some sense into me?!?

My mom and I are having a small baby shower for my sister on Nov. 9th. It is here, by my choice. Well I have had this itch to paint my living room, dining room and foyer for a while now. I had planned on doing it when the boys were gone but that never happened. So now I am down to 2 weeks and what did I start doing today? Paint my living room and foyer of course! It is in various stages of paint. I have some of the trim done (on 3 of the 4 walls) and the small wall in between my foyer and dining room all painted. I have lost my mind!! It may get done and it might not, I guess if it doesn't it surely will be an interesting conversation starter:rotfl:
Hey, you've already started! Proceed my dear..:thumbsup2

It's coming up quickly now, I almost hate to see it get here, that means it will be over way too soon.

I do have a question for those of you who have stayed at OKW, I keep reading that the beds are brick hard, did you find that to be the case?

I think I'll bring a pillow top mattress cover just in case, I can keep the receipt and return it if we don't use it, we have a queen bed here so if we do use it I can keep it for that bed. I hate extra firm mattresses.

The bed we had last week was definitely hard. Maybe some have been replaced?

Elizabeth....you got me paranoid....cause I NEVER check the kids work...so I am getting worried.

even though Jackie been a real pill lately...school wise she seems pretty good...I am relieved!

Great job. I guess I should check Nick's grades.

We still haven't eaten

The kids just had a pre-dinner snack since the pumpkin carving/picture taking is still in progress.

I don't think the kids have ever tried the chocolate chip zucchini bread, Stephanie, but I think it's tasty!
Thanks Amy.

This is my sister's and my favorite dinner from when we were little.

Burger Bean Casserole

1 # ground beef
1 medium sized can of pork and beans
2-3 Tbsp of brown sugar
1 can of refrigerator biscuits (the ones that come 10 to a pack)
shredded cheddar cheese

Brown your ground beef and then drain. In a baking dish mix together your ground beef, pork and beans and the brown sugar. Top with the biscuits and then sprinkle with the cheese. Bake (at whatever temp the biscuit can calls for) until biscuits are cooked and cheese is melted.
This looks easy!!:thumbsup2

We are home. I have been reading off and on all day, in hopes of catching up. Of course you guys are posting much faster than I am reading :lmao: I still have 70 pages to go. Vicki gave me a quick recap, but with all that has happened I really want to read it all. I've got my last load of trip laundry in the dryer, but that is all that I've managed. I slept late and took a nap. I guess I was tired :confused3

Our trip was nice. We really enjoyed the cruiseship and our time at OKW and Vero Beach. The weather was cool and windy and we never actually got to a beach in the Bahamas:sad1: , but otherwise all was well. I'll post a quick trip report when/if I ever catch up.

So did somebody compile all of the recipes into a document, so they are easily accessible later?? If so I want a copy. I need to figure out what I am making for our Juliette Low/Halloween Potluck on Friday.

I hope you all had a good day.
Hi Becky!!!

:welcome: home Deb. I loved your email!!!!

What building were you in Deb?? The king bed in #18 seemed hard to me, but the queen beds in #25 and #64 were just right...

We started this chapter on the first day of the economic collapse of the stock market. I was in Disney and didn't look at the television until Friday. By then it was all she rote...

I'm all for getting through this as quick as possible.

I am trying to upload my pictures to photobucket. All we did was eat. Should I post one picture per post?

can't wait to hear all about your trip :goodvibes

So what did everyone have for dinner?

We had ham steaks, mashed potatoes and corn.

Grilled chicken drumsticks, veggie medley (which was mostly edamame so DS didn't like it), and teriyaki noodles from a mix.

Can somebody please knock some sense into me?!?

My friend Barb ripped the wallpaper down from her foyer back when DS was a baby. She had the new wallpaper already purchased. I haven't been to her house lately, but I know 10 years later she still hadn't fixed the wallpaper. If you finish it, fine. If you don't, no big deal. :rolleyes1

Same here, nothing comes to mind. But I know I use to watch a lot of shows.

I can't choose an all time favorite TV show.

DH took some pictures today in some weird format and now he is mad that the computer doesn't recognize the files. Now he is howling for me to come help him. Me? How did this become MY problem? I don't know anything about the camera or the editing stuff. If he would leave the camera format ALONE this wouldn't be an issue! :rolleyes1

Holy cow! I got to Vicki's warning about senseless dribble and skipped all the way to here. If there is something that I need to know, please let me. We had a fun day, went to Luray Caverns, where we had a terrible guide, then drove along Skyline Drive. We stopped at a few overlooks and took some pictures, hike on a mile and a half trail, had dinner at Skyland, and I FINALLY saw a black bear in the wild! I have been looking for them for years up there. Now I can cross that off of my Bucket List.

Neat! I would like to see a bear! :goodvibes

Well, if you would have asked me about 23 years ago, I would have answered Silver Spoons. :teeth:

Frozen pizza in the oven now...

That wouldn't have had anything to do with Ricky Schroeder, would it??!! :lmao:
