Who's going in 09?

We will be in Orlando from 8/21-30/09

At the Bluetree for 2 nights (8/21 &22)

AKV SAV View for 5 nights (8/23-27)

and
RPR for 2 nights(8/28 &29)

back home on the 30th

Very excited its me DH DD and Dnephew(HIS 1ST TRIP:cool1:)

Just can't wait to go!

We are going for 9 days. I can't wait. I'm dragging DH along. I'm hoping he gets bit by the Disney Bug & sprinkled w/ pixie dust. If any of you see us there (I'll have the neon green mickey head on), please come over & say hello.

Mike, thank you for my lovely, flashy birthday decorations! :love:

We won't be going in December after all. DH's schedule has changed so unless he is on vacation he can't take off more than 2 days in a row. :mad:

But we ARE booked for June 4-16, 2010! :goodvibes

Of course DH doesn't bid for 2010 vacation until after Thanksgiving, so our plans could be dismantled. Stay tuned!
 
Vacation "bids" stink! You work your butt off for someone, and if you have vacation in the bank you should be able to go when you want...

Sorry you had to cancel your trip....

EVERYTHING at DH's company is all about seniority. Nothing is merit based, which sucks. But they do have a 100% work place rating from HRC, so that's something. ;)

December was never a definite thing. I would have liked to go, but it's not a big deal. DH gets 3 weeks of vacation in 2010 so he might do 2 weeks in summer and a December week. We shall see! He can only bid for 2 weeks initially, then after EVERYBODY has had a turn they go back through and let the guys with 3 and 4 weeks bid again. I liked that when DH only had 2 weeks, but now that he has 3 I wish he could bid all 3 in the first round! :rotfl2:
 
Hi all...

Haven't posted to the boards in a while, but I lurk quite often. Anyway...

We are going in Aug for DW's bday (she will be the big 3-0), and again in Dec for my bday. Our stay in Aug is at the Poly!! :goodvibes We've always wanted to stay there, and we are now able to thanks to a bday 40% off pin code DW got. We are soooo excited. :dance3:

Any Poly veterans out there?? What should I expect? What can we do that's super special (but on a sort of limited budget)? I want to make her bday as special as possible. Wait... should I start a new thread and ask these questions??? :confused:

LOL @tinkerbell (and the scooby impersonation).

I just really want to be able to do something very special for her. I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Lupus 2 years ago (when we were supp to be at the World for MY 30th bday... obviously we had to cancel). Since my diagnosis and allllll the medical issues that come along with it, she has been THE BEST. She takes care of me when I can't get out of the bed because my joints hurt and I can barely lift my head from fatigue. She carries umbrellas over me whenever we are in the sun, to protect me. She holds me when I'm crying and frustrated over living with Lupus. She is learning sign language in order to communicate with me, since one of the things Lupus is affecting is my hearing, and I now wear hearing aids (that SHE paid a lot of money for). She makes sure I take the many pills that I have to take in order to manage my disease, and she just makes life with Lupus and life in GENERAL much better than I could have ever imagined. *sniffle* (uh... I'm not really crying... that's... uh... allergies... yeah, that's it) ;)


Ok I'm rambling... :upsidedow


Anyway, I thank God for her everyday, and I just want to make her day special because she deserves it.

Soooo, if anyone has any suggestions as to what to do to make this trip special, I would greatly appreciate it. I've been considering doing the new dessert party over at MK one evening. I know we are definitely going to check out Wishes from the Poly beach. Any other suggestions?? :flower3:

It sounds like she's a wonderful lady! You're very lucky! (though I'm sure she'd say that she's lucky, too! :thumbsup2)

The Wishes Dessert party sounds like it could be fun (we haven't done it yet, so I don't know). If you're at the Poly, my suggestion would be to go to the Tambu Lounge for their amazing pina coladas. They're my favorite.

And don't worry. Magic happens very frequently at the Poly. It's going to be great!

Thanks!! :hug: I AM definitely very blessed to have her!! :goodvibes Thanks for the suggestion about the lounge. We've been near there whenever we've had O'hana ressies, and it's always soooo crowded. I guess it's very popular. Maybe we will still try it out, though. Neither of us are big drinkers, but we do enjoy a drink every now and again.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?? :flower3:

You can add me and my sis (ok, she's my cousin, but I call her my sister) to the list! We're heading to Gay Days DL Oct 2-4 and are super excited! She's never even been to DL and I went last year, so it should be fun! :cool1:

My family and I will be in Disney World staying at POP from September 11 - September 19! My group will include My Mom, My Stepdad, My 17 year old brother (HELP..lol), My girlfriend Ashlie and of course Me! We are driving from Ohio so it should be a very interesting road trip down!!
