A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Mickey ears and the Castle were his choices.

MeMom, he was surprised you would think he would do such a thing! Then he laughed when you said why!:rotfl:

I almost really guessed Donald and the Mickey ears, so I would have been half right.

If we ever meet in person, I'll wear my shin guards, just in case he does decide I deserve to be kicked. :)

I love DTD!!!! Man, that was one expensive Mickey!!! lol!!!

You guys don't have too much longer!!!!!

Yeah, I'm thinking a Mickey cake pan and a blob of rice krispy treat mixture and I could make my own for about an eighth of that price.

you take som eof th ebest detailed pictures of your trips!!!:thumbsup2

I try. I will try new things this time, too, so we'll see how it turns out.

I'm right there with you MeMom. I really hope they do the other half of Pop into the classic Disney movies. That would be like a dream come true for me! I really hope it happens. :cloud9:

Maybe the Disney high-ups are reading this right now and taking action on that!.

I'm sad that it was the last stroll around Pop. I enjoyed seeing Pop again. I've been going though our trip pictures and am going to try to update our TR (if I have any readers left?) tomorrow!! I've been slacking...but with good reason! We had a big birthday party this weekend! :) I did put birthday party pictures up on the blog if you are interested!

A preview:

I checked out the blog. Looks like fun. He was cute, but so was Hannah in her princess hat. princess:

Congratulations on finishing the spring report before your next trip begins. I knew you could do it.

I love the last pictures of Pop, and can't wait until I get there in September. I hope they will finish Pop someday, I would love to stay in the 20's or the 40's.

Almost finished. Maybe one or two more posts will get it, which is good, because I can't keep up with two reports going at once.

That picture of the newspaper says it all --going back to the real world can be such a jolt.

You know, I feel it as soon as we drive back out of the arch. The grass isn't as green, the sky isn't as blue, and music doesn't waft through the air.

The pictures of Pop are bringing back memories of our trip. We went up and down those green yo-yo stairs many times. We stayed in Building 4!

Isn't it fun to walk them again in pictures? I'm hoping for a sixties room, but I really don't care one way or the other. We just leave it to chance.

Ah, the last pics around the resort, so sad...

It was, but I was anxious to see my girls again and give them all their goodies, so that was something happy to look forward to!

Kay looks like one of the fairies next to that phone...

I'll tell Kay what you said. She'll laugh.

 I can see us now...carrying our hammers and scissors in our bag and then we'll be sneaky and hurry and free them when no one's looking then sneak away so no one knew it was us! :rotfl2:

I'll stake us out some good hiding places when I go next week!

Hahahahaha. This made me laugh out loud!

Glad somebody can laugh about our phobias!
Really, I laugh about it, too, when it's not happening.
When it's happening, I don't do much laughing.
I try to be :cool2:, but inside I'm !

I'll try to put back a few dollars so I can come down and bail y'all out of Mickey Jail........:lmao:

How many Disney dollars would it take to 'spring' us, I wonder? :rotfl:

Great piccies MeMom! Sorry not to have been around more!
Can't wait for your next report to start!!!
xxxxxxxxxxx

I suppose you're going to play that 'new mommy' card, huh, and say you've been busy?!?!?

We forgive you, but drop in any time.
Have you checked out the new pre-trip yet?

After walking around the resort for a while, we did our last little bit of shopping in Everything Pop. No matter how much I go in there, I still like stopping to browse instead of just walking straight through. If I want to get to the bus on time, I try to just go through the main lobby or cut through the food court back side, because if I go through the gift shop, I get sidetracked.

We went in and got a last snack. I got this and vanilla ice cream.

Kay got this.

My usual 'the view from where I sat' picture.

disney3-18-09MK520.jpg

I feel like I've shown this already.
Brooklynn and I are going to make some jewelry this time.

One last gift shop picture.

disney3-18-09MK525.jpg

I had to let it go, but I snapped this to remember why I come here.

disney3-18-09MK524.jpg

Because every day is magical here. At least so far they have been for me.

As if to make it easier for us to leave, the skies turned gray and threatened rain.

disney3-18-09MK526.jpg

A cool bus.

disney3-18-09MK527.jpg

I know it is just a value resort, but I still like Pop.

disney3-18-09MK529.jpg

When you take a picture like this, you know you are milking your last minutes for all they are worth.

disney3-18-09MK531.jpg

Cute Disney flower truck.

disney3-18-09MK530.jpg

Cute little Disney security car.

Waiting for unMagical Express.
It's magical when it brings you, but un when it takes you back.

disney3-18-09MK533.jpg

It was finally time to load our things on the bad bus and be escorted back into the real world.

Next post: Final Goodbyes for this report.

Bad bus rides = the onset of major Disney depression in my book.
I'm glad to know that you have a magical ride soon approaching! :yay:

Un Magical Express. I do like that!

Sad this trip report is wrapping up, but ten days with your entire family will be so much fun to tag along with. Hope you are enjoying your summer break time before camp!

I'm like that too! Ben kept dragging me though telling me when didn't need anything else!

Waiting for unMagical Express.
It's magical when it brings you, but un when it takes you back.

That is so true!!!

MeMom, your Pop pictures makeme so excited. We are staying there from Nov 27- Dec 7. I need to go back and find your Christmas pictures. I just bought our plane tickets today because they dropped to the lowest I have ever seen $84 one way on Southwest. Now it seems real. I am so excited!!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:Can you tell?

You are so right about the grass not being greener, the sky not being as blue -- I called a hotel reservationist today (more on that much, much later) and when I got off the phone I said to Charles, "That woman did not work for Disney." She wasn't unfriendly or rude, but somehow there wasn't that special, happy, magical lilt to her voice, and it made me sad. Not to mention that she did not say, "Have a magical day!" I was ready to abandon the whole idea right then and there.

Oh no. It's getting close, isn't it? :sad1: The real world is looming.

Look like you got a kickin' last snack though! :thumbsup2 ;)

It's not "just a value", right??? It's POP CENTURY AT DISNEY WORLD! It holds the memories of sooooooo many families-yours and mine included! While my very short stay there wasn't 100% magical, I still loved every second because I was there-and I could see my family going back there someday and loving it!

I love hearing more about it, and love seeing all your pictures and could never ever ever get sick of seeing your faces (or well, half yours, or a reflected yours ;)) or YOUR Pop Century. :goodvibes (or Brooklynn's Magic Kingdom!)

Your pictures at the end there are great!!! -lol-trying to grasp onto one last bit of Disney. I also like your "unMagical Express" :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Oh no, we are at the goodbye stage of this trip report...:upsidedow

It seems like it was just yesterday that you were off on your March trip.
We now have a pictoral story of all your experiences. I still love to look back and see all the little details you take pics of.

Nothing is better than your shopping pics! Make sure you take lots more in a few weeks...:goodvibes

I have looked at that cookbook several times myself, I don't know why I didn't buy it. :confused3

I had to laugh because the jibbitz Lexi wants are the 'castle' & 'ears' too! Who knew her and Declan would have the same taste. :)

I think I may have to plan a trip in the Spring so I can make one of those cute tees with Tink in the Easter basket at Design-your-own Tee...;)

Great minds think alike, I was just thinking of making a rice crispy treat Mickey with the cake pan. I think it's a wonderful idea. I'm going to try it this weekend. Yum!

I have really enjoyed myself on this TR. Can't wait to see pics of Bella and Brooklynn in the next one. :cloud9:

Yes I have been reading your new report, but not yet posted anything on there! Toby has been keeping me very busy but we have a nice quiet week this week to rest and catch up on bits and bobs! He has started laughing now - Daddy was changing his nappy and pulling funny faces - I was listening over the monitor - it was very cute!!! He is now 10-weeks old! I can't believe how fast time has flown!!!
We have been offered a friends villa in Florida, in October for 1-week at a very good price. Sadly the flights are expensive so that looks like a no go!!! Plus I am nervous of such a long flight with a 5-month old!!!
Can't wait to hear more about your next trip!!! xxx

Fear not everyone. In true MeMom fashion the last pictures from this trip arrive just in time since we leave in 10 days!!!!!!!!!! Plus when she was getting on that Magical Express bus she knew she was leaving Disney but she was coming back to just two girls and anticipating Isabella's arrival just a few weeks later!

I've made a necklace out of all the Tinkerbell stuff!

That does not surprise me!
I wonder what Brooklynn will pick? Trouble is, as much as she loves jewelry, she will want one of everything!

Bad bus rides = the onset of major Disney depression in my book.
I'm glad to know that you have a magical ride soon approaching!

At least the depression wasn't too bad, since I was coming home to await Bella's arrival. :)

Un Magical Express. I do like that!

Sad this trip report is wrapping up, but ten days with your entire family will be so much fun to tag along with. Hope you are enjoying your summer break time before camp!

As far as I know, all of my family is still going. I think Drew's girl friends have cancelled out, because one doesn't have enough money.

I'm like that too! Ben kept dragging me though telling me when didn't need anything else!

That is so true!!!

Men.
Don't they know that even if you don't need anything else, you still like to look?!?!?
Gotta love 'em, though. They come in handy for pickle jar opening and lawn mowing and stuff. :)

I'll take some more to keep you going until your trip. :)
I love it when SW ticket go below $100. That's when we start talking business! :thumbsup2

UnMagical Express...I like that! That bus ride does seem like such a let down after a magical Disney trip.

It's especially not a fun ride when it signifies the end of your summer and you know you'll back in school in two days. :sad2:

Like this time.

that brownie looked AWESOME!!! I love a good brownie!!

That's what Jill said. It was good smushed up in my ice cream, but it was too much to finish.

Yeah, when I'm on hold with any 'hotel' now (as opposed to a nice Disney 'resort'), I like to hear Disney music, and nobody else does that. ;)

I'm looking forward to hearing about your plans. Does this mean you are not doing the cruise?

Oh no. It's getting close, isn't it? The real world is looming.

Look like you got a kickin' last snack though! :thumbsup2 ;)

Anywhere at Disney World is fine with us. One day, when everyone has great jobs and can get their own rooms, we will probably be staying at nicer resorts for longer portions of our trips, and we will love that.

I much prefer hidden MeMoms to unhidden ones. ;)

Oh no, we are at the goodbye stage of this trip report...:upsidedow

Goodbye, with a hello already started!

I will try to remember to take shopping pictures. :)

During Flower and Garden Festival is a good time to go.

Let us see your Mickey kripsy treat, if you do one.

Bella's head will be bobbing all over the place taking it all in, and Brooklynn will be leading the pack from here to there to everywhere and explaining everything to her. :cutie:

Unmagical express is right. Great last pics.

Thanks. Just a few more, and then we fly away!

Feel free to share recent pictures of this sweet little boy!

Too bad about the October trip. I wish I made the rules. I would rule that flights to Orlando would stay under $100 at all times from anywhere in the world!

Fear not? Surely they were not afraid of me not coming right in at the buzzer? Those that have been around certainly knew it would happen, right?

Yes, I will admit that knowing I was coming back with a Nemo bucket full of goodies for Brooklynn, a few things for you, and my baby Bella's arrival in just a few days made it very much easier on re-entry to Real World.

I will be in despair at the end of this trip, though, because I will be leaving the fabulous Wilderness Lodge, it will end my time being with you and the girls every day, and I will be less than 48 hours away from being back in school.

I shall not allow myself to think about it right now. :upsidedow

****************************

Okay, gang, we are about to end this one, but first I have some errands to run. When I get back, I will finish it out and happily be riding along on just the one new report.

I worked a long time on my stupid class yesterday, and I will have to do more of that today, but I will finish the report today.
