Found another site that said that the tender from where the cruise ships dock is about 4-6 minutes to the floating pier.

If I cannot make the t-shirts in time I'll make magnets instead (faster to make)

Do you have to let DCL know that you are a DVC member? We are but we didn't book with our points.

From what I've read, it's faster to take the train from La Spezia to Cinque Terre than the ferry; however, the view from the water may make the extra travel time worthwhile.

OK, I think there's enough interest in the Montjuic Magic Fountain to call it a DIS meet. Here's the info on the Fountain:

The magic fountain of Montjuïc's first performance was on May 19, 1929 during the Great Universal Exhibition. The designer Carles Buigas submitted his plans one year before the exhibition and many thought that the project was too ambitious to be created, let alone completed on time.

Over 3000 workers were commissioned to work on the project and less than 1 year later the magic fountain was born.

The magic fountain is a spectacular display of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics - if you mix all these elements together in just the right combinations, you end up with pure magic! The magic fountain is a "must see" when you come to Barcelona and highly recommended.

Summer Schedule: (May to September)
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Music Sessions: 21:00 21:30 22:00 22:30 23:00

To get there via the Metro, you need to get to the Espanya Station, which is on both the Green Route and the Red Route. It's a short walk from the Metro Station to the Fountains. We will meet on the side of the fountain facing the Espanya Metro Station. It's a popular tourist attraction so for the best viewing you need to get there early. We'll try to get there by 8:15-8:30 pm and have our lanyards on so we can be recognized.

In case anyone else is thinking about doing Pisa independently and looking for people to join in with, we're planning on taking the 10:06 train there and returning on the 3:00 train.
Several places said that Pisa tower tickets are hard to get on same day, and should be booked in advance, so we ordered tickets for the 12:40 slot. I saw that the morning slots were about half sold out already.

It's been cold and rainy the last several days here in Barcelona. I hope it clears up for the May 5 group.

Hello!! I would like to join in on the fun if thats okay! This will be our first Disney Cruise and we are extremely excited. Family consists of myself, hubby, daughter (3yrs), son (2yrs old), Grandmom, Grandpop, and Sister. Can I add our name to the DIY Rome Group? I like the safety in numbers thought process because we are directionally challenged family!

No but I've heard good reviews from others. I've penciled it in for me.

Hello welcome to our group. I am from Oxford in the UK and travelling with my DH.



Hello to you!! Oxford isnt far havent seen many Brits on the roll call i just cant wait to meet everyone its so great that we are form all over the world my daughter keeps trying to talk "american" and is hoping to pick up the accents lol

Those on the 4/24 cruise are reporting folks with early flights are disembarking the ship at 6 am. Should make you all feel a bit better about making it to the airport on time.

And the ferry ride was 2 hours. Once on the train it's an 8 minute ride to the first village.

Awww that is so cute. Your daughter should pick up on our (mine and my wife's) southern accent in no time... it just grows on ya!

A little wrinkle for me....we are having a work outing to the Rockies baseball game next week. Was supposed to be Monday but my boss neglected to tell me he changed it to Tuesday! Now I have to rebook my spray tan appointment or just blind you with my pastiness.

As the resident dermatologist on this cruise, may I add that pale IS the new tan!

Living in Florida, I now find myself saying ya'll a lot---can't believe it cause I am a Jersey Girl and lived there until 8 years ago ! My Family up North just laugh at me BUT when I go back home for a visit and come back down to Florida --everyone says I sound like I'm from Brooklyn

Ordered some Euros today and will pick up some travelers check too ! My understanding is that I can cash the travelers checks on board---if I'm incorrect someone please tell me !!! And I actually activated my ATM (I know--I'm way behind the times !!!) just in case I may need it !!!

Picking out our Pirate Outfits tonights----closets here we come-----I'm sure we can find something in there
