Hello guys....we will be flying in Saturday morning and taking Disney transportation to the ship....anyone know if any place close to the port the I could get some Pepsi? I would love to pick up a 12 pack or 2 for the long cruise......
Thanks....
Tom

If you can not pick up your Pepsi in Barcelona, I have been told that near to the port in Gibraltar is a Morrisons Supermarket (was a Safeway) which should have a supply of Pepsi

Details of opening times location can be found at
http://www.morrisons.co.uk/store-fi...lts/?type=qs&value=&lat=36.15122&lon=-5.34966

I love that you are tracking all the statistics. We are all going to have to figure out a really great trip to do again with this group say in 2012. What do you guys think? By 2012, there should be more options and gives the rest of us plenty of time to obsess about the trip.

Aren't there rumours of Hawaii in 2012?

Yeah....Jason and I will definitely be booking at least one set of 2012 dummy dates while we're aboard the ship. We're already booked on three cruises in 2011 (the LA to Vancouver Repo B2B w/ the first Alaskan and then the Labor Day 4-night cruise aboard the Dream)....but we know the ship is doing Hawaii in 2012 probably and we're hoping that maybe even some other fun trips OUT of Hawaii, too...so we're gonna book dummy dates (since itineraries will certainly not be out yet) and then transfer them when we know more.

Of course we may also be trying to rebook our 2011 cruises aboard, as well, to get discounts and OBC----so the onboard booking desk is going to love us LOL

Oh my goodness, you are such a star for organising this!!!

Right! Final decision(I think!!;))

Cell Phone - Champagne Girls.

Necklace - Champagne Girls. As I think I will wear this the most!! Sorry to change.

Love the idea of the bag charm!!!!:thumbsup2

I have amended your preferences

What I do is save my Excel as a PDF, the save the PDF as a PNG. If you want to post is here on the DIS, you upload to photobucket and download the IMG file.

You could also just show it as a shared Google document.

If you can't do the save, email me the Excel and I will convert to both PDF and PNG and send back to you on email.

I did not get the option to safe this as a PDF either. I managed to work around this by copying the Excel worksheet into a Word document and from their into Paint, which them allowed me to save this a JPEG. It might be a slightly roundabout way, but it works.

Since everyone is talking about tattoos....here is one that I got. This is not a picture of mine....my Mickey head is outlined (not solid) and I dont have as many stars. I love it tho!!! :)

I would love to go to the Fountain on Friday if anyone else is going after the HRC meeting.

I love this tattoo. I have been tempted for years now to either get a butterfly, a dolphin or a Figment tattoo, but I was never quite brave enough.

I might be temped to go to the fountains after our meet on Friday.

TransAtlantic Pirate Postal heading your way

A few didnt make it out today , I ran out of tape plus there was a few misprints I am waiting for ...

I am going to have to wait till everything is shipped before I can state what we have left over ...but we should have some in various sizes , but I do know we will NOT have any kid sizes left over ..... Sue I left a message for you to call me .... I wanna get your box out Thursday but I have a few things I need to talk to you about ...

A special thanks to Mahal Ko Helen ...she was a trooper in helping me get these packed up today ...

pirate:

Thanks to you and Helen for all the hard work you put into this.

At TJMax I found something I think I will really like - see I ALWAYS take an extra duffle bag - one of those ones that fold up really small in the bottom of the suitcase - they always come in handy! Well at TJMax I found a laundry bag that is a duffle and a backpack - it holds 2 loads of dirty clothes - and was only $7 - I thought this was a great price and if needed it does close on the top and I will check it full of clothes :)

This sounds like a great find.

My Dsis and I would love to join in as well. Are we to late?

Really the workshops are full. However, I have now had requests from 4 additional people. I suppose I can split this into 3 groups with 8 people each and do two back to back sessions on September 21st. Could you let me have your preferences for necklaces and cellphone charms? Also could you let me have your Dsis DIS Name and let me know if either of you has Palo tea booked?

Tru, if you and R still want in, I can accommodate you. Could you please let me have the same information?

Well, things are finally coming together. My jewellery for formal night finally turned up today and is utterly gorgeous. I rushed out of the house this morning and never put any jewellery on so I am wearing the set now. I can't wait to wear this with my evening gowns.

My Champagne Girl tiara arrived yesterday. It is tiny and esstially just a comb with some frills, but it is really cute and will do. I also got my pillow case to be signed by the characters yesterday. So now I am pretty much ready. I just need the components for the last Fish Extended gift, which will be custom made for me.

DH is starting to get in on the excitement as well. He has been shaking his head for months now about me making magnets and having t shirts printed for the cruise. This morning he said that he had seen a t shirt somewhere with the caption "Six out of seven dwarfs are not Happy". He really wanted one of those. So I got on to one of the talented DISigners and he made me up a great graphic, which I will have printed on a t shirt for DH. I can't wait to see his face when he sees this.

Glad your all sorted:thumbsup2
The "naughty noodle" thing started at work, we had a dog in called noodle, he was totaly naughty with the same amount of cuteness, I called him naughty noodle all the time, when I get a new vet they think Im mad cause I make up names(and sometimes songs:rolleyes1)for them.

I think you are delightfully eccentric!!

:hyper2::hyper2::hyper2:me,me ,me, HOW lucky am I?
My first cruise Id never even heard of the dis boards, I was bored at work one day and googled discuss disney crusie, and now :rolleyes1

and we are so much luckier for you having a boring day!!

When I called the other day to request a server the guy at DVC said that we may not get room assignments for up to 2 weeks before the cruise :scared1: That really shocked me. Hopefully it will be sooner than that.

I would think it will be sooner than that because I think it will be harder for them to send out luggage tags with a whole lot of GTY's - it is just a waiting game!

Hi everyone!
Just popping by to let you know that I'm booking this cruise as a last minute 'sanity saver' for myself!!! My name's Karen, I'm from the UK and this will be my 6th DCL cruise and by far my longest to date! I expect to be in a Cat 7 with late dining.

It'll be a solo trip (my first and I'm more than a little nervous TBH) as the primary purpose is to escape from the Crazy Castle my home has become during a problematic and protracted building/refurb project - such a long and boring story.... :sad2: Anyway, I'm sailing in search of R&R plus the chance to spend some time with friends old and new!!

So I guess the most important thing at this stage is to ask if someone could let me know what (if anything) is left to sign up for - I would be most grateful. :goodvibes

OK, the introduction's over - better go and compile a packing list. Can't believe I'm doing this!!! :woohoo:

Hi fellow cruisers, I'm Sue, a new cruiser, mother of 'noworriesmate' and grandmother to Nicholas and Lillian. I'm delighted to be joining them on this Atlantic crossing, and certainly look forward to meeting you all.

WELCOME to both new cruisers! I am in charge of the current FE group (Strawberry) and if you would like to join we still have some room - send me an email to akblair@charter.net and let me know you want to join.

Also I am in charge of the wristbands which I will be updating info in a post or two with a link to add your dis name and sizes!

I

158 Cabins accounted for (DISers, family, extended family, and friends)
473 Total People
174 Kids under age 18 (broken out of the total)
4 Sets of Twins (DD4, DD10, DD12, and DD14)
57 Cabins without children/101 Cabins with children
25 Adults with parents and/or grandparents traveling with them
5 Countries represented (Canada, Germany, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA)
31 States in the US represented

Ok are you keeping stats for this cruise too?? I would love to know where we are now!

The good news is that since I found this early enough, I was able to get seats on Southwest and I paid to have the early check-in so we should have no issues of getting seats close together. I saved money and we don't have to pay for luggage!!!

I told my DIL we can do more shopping and pick up a cheap suitcase since we can now bring 2 suitcases each for the way home. :yay:

Are you on the 2:15 SW flight 1366? because we are! It's easier to just pay the 10 bucks each to get in front of the A line.

Canada, Wales, England, Scotland, Germany, New Zealand, USA, Australia, Netherlands, Mexico, Belgium!!!

Wow what an international bunch we are!!!

Gosh maybe I need to start a spreadsheet.;)

Maybe someone who is longer in Barcelona can get you pepsi, on the ramblas there are shops who sell pepsi. And also on the airport. And 5,3 KM from the airport there's a shoppingcentre.

I had originally planned to go to Hawaii for my birthday this year, but when this cruise came up, it was far less expensive and sounded so exciting! Doing a TA is on my bucket list, too, so I'll get one more thing marked off with Hawaii remaining!

I've looked into cruising Hawaii, but honestly, for me, I think that if I'm going to go there, I want to spend the time on the islands and getting soaked in the Hawaiian experience, not cruising to get there. Hawaii isn't inexpensive (at least not for all the things I want to do and places I want to go and stay at), so in addition to time constraints, I unfortunately couldn't take the trans-Pacific and spend a week or more in Hawaii. :sad1: If that lottery that I don't play would just pay off, I would be all set!

In and out of Claims adjuster with check in hand. Repair estimate is about $2300.00 and Allstate will pay more if required.....

I'm glad that part wasn't too painful or time-consuming. Fingers crossed that you'll get the rental. I can't imagine you wouldn't, but you never know....

As you will see below, if you find a bathroom with a seat on it - PAY WHAT YOU HAVE TOO. USE IT! Oh and roll (TP) if you have too. They don't always have TP. :rotfl2:...

I've remembered the tip about having your own TP, so a couple of times that I thought about it when the roll was almost gone, I squished it down flat and packed it for the trip!

So I had some fun with my return flights from Orlando to Phila today.....I called them and they have now canceled my reservation and will refund me my money (of course within 5-7 business days!).

The good news is that since I found this early enough, I was able to get seats on Southwest and I paid to have the early check-in so we should have no issues of getting seats close together. I saved money and we don't have to pay for luggage!!!...

Oh my goodness!! What a mess! Thank God they have given your money back! I'm thrilled that you are saving so much, too! I also paid the extra money to have my SW flight queue me up so I don't have to worry about it.

...When we cruised (with Kimberly) in 2008 on the double dip cruise, I had my Mom with me....She was concerned as to having only 4 of us going on the 2008 cruise....by the time we were on the cruise it was like traveling with a huge family of people. My Mom loved it.

I agree!! We were all very close, and I LOVED seeing your mom around the ship!! I almost felt like she was my granny, too!

we must be close to that on this cruise too.

Germany, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, Australia....

sure i'm missing some

Based on who has signed up on our website, Sue has stats on which countries we have represented on the web's home page. There are 10 listed plus the UK!! Gotta love diversity!!:grouphug:

For new cruiser's and those who have missed it:

Every DIS'er (and their traveling party) will be getting a Lime Green, Glow in the dark Wristband as a gift.

What do you need to do to get yours? Go to:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...TRWQzB6djZHbDdqMnpWcEE&hl=en&authkey=CO-hn9MD

and put in the following information:

DIS name, cabin number (please update when known for GTY) and the size you need for each cruiser - sizes are guarenteed through August 6 - we will be ordering extras in all sizes and will be first come first serve after August 6 - but please fill in your sizes even if after August 6!

The sizes are:

LARGE - 8 3/8" MEDIUM - 7 3/8" SMALL- 5 7/8"
these are in inches - and I do not know how to convert for non-USA people.

Here is the size info from the maker:

Wristbands come in three sizes: large, medium, and child. The large bands are 8 3/8" around and will fit most adults and large-framed teenagers. The medium bands are 7 3/8" around and generally fits ages six and up, including most teenagers and small-framed women. The child bands are 5 7/8" around and typically fit children 4-6 years old. Wristbands are not intended for children younger than four years old.

Yes, and if they have the new area open there, I am sure up for that!! I love Hawaii. When I was younger, I used to take kids for the weekend.

I'd love to go to Hawaii!:cool1:
