Well, my day started wet, then zoomed to exciting. Woke up at 5am to discover the 'joys' of sharing a bed with a newly diaper-free toddler. Stripped bed and hoped for a bit more sleep. DH is taking the kids to see my mom Tru and to help her pack as I start back on call today. I decided to head to Starbucks to start my on-call gently and get my agenda transfered over to my iPad. En route, I got a page (still off call) from a collegue who was needing immediate assistance with a client who was only 32 weeks pregnant but delivering at our office! We made it to the hospital and all is well. I still haven't gotten that coffee! Wah, I want to be cruising.

I wrote about one month ago, that DD and I signed up for this cruise but due to my surgery I had to wait to get the okay to fly from my doctor. The other day, he said he thought I would be able to fly and do this cruise but that I should wait for sure until my next visit with him on August 17. In the meantime, as of now, DD AND I ARE JOINING YOU Is it too late to order shirts, wrist bands, lanyards etc etc? I hope not. Are people already linked up for dinner? Now I have to get my airfare. Planning on flying from PHL or EWK on the 15th arriving the 16th. My Jewish Holiday starts sundown on the 17th so Lindsay and I are planning on finding a synagoge in Barcelona and attending Holiday services there. Thinking about staying at NH Constanza. Anyone else staying there? How are people getting from the airport to their hotel and their hotel to the cruise ship? I know, I'm sure all this was already somewhere, but I have no idea where to start. Pam, Laura, Pat and others, looking forward to seeing you again. DD is 22 and both DD and I will be celebrating our birthdays on this cruise. Will there be anyone around the ages of DD on this awesome cruise?

Families hey??? Your parent's love did nothing to help your sister did it?

Candidly, I think my mother was the culprit. She was the youngest and my mother's favorite. My sister was the only one of us that she would tell that she loved her.

I was very close to my grandparents so I didn't feel the loss as much as my siblings. All three of my other siblings were very upset with my mother for being so overprotective and for supporting my sister all those years which has resulted in crippling her both financially and emotionally.

There is another woman named Tammy here on the boards who lost a husband several years ago when he was shot in his restaurant.

I met Tammy on a WBPC. She was active on the cruise thread, and was incredibly strong despite the family tragedy.

I stood next to a couple on the EBPC sail away out of Port of LA and he said to his wife "there seem to be a lot of Disney fans on board" - think that might have been the understatement of the cruise...

At least you DH has some interest, DH doesn't want to know anything until we're on the plane. He is so busy at work!

I send DH constant emails which he files in a cruise folder. We try to spend at least a few hours each weekend. He is interested but leaves all the obsessing and cruise planning to me!!

Boy do I know about a DH being busy at work. DH was on the phone last night at 11PM trying to sort out some issues in China!!

. . . I immediately called my Senator's local office (who voted No on marriage) and gave him a piece of my mind!! Standing right outside the Yak & Yeti waiting to be seated!! I'm sure THAT was an interesting phone call for bystanders to overhear!!

I'll bet that inspired some lively dinner conversations.

Another trying day in the Zabek household re sleep, Weve a leak in the roof(old house) on and off for 1year, been waiting on the builder turning up for a month, ofcourse just as I am drifting off to sleep he turns up, Its so frustrating,oh well only the weekend to go.

Your loss of your husband is just so sad, I am at a similar age now and I imagine losing him and I just don't know how I would cope, it must have been devastating. You must be a pretty special mother to keep it together and minimise your grieving in front of them, I am so glad you met John and your 'living' again.

Thank you for your heartfelt words. I am very happy now and feel very fortunate.

If it makes you feel any better, my PT worked me hard today also, I don't think I could have done 1 more jumping squat or backwards lunge!!

I second that, that date arrangement is just all wrong, it should be 18-09-10, date, month, year.

I have always wonder why we show dates one way and you guys show it another way??? The only time it is not confusing is if the date and the month are the same like, 01-01-10.

7 actually...things were different "way back then". Kids worked, I think it did us no harm and instilled a very strong work ethic, at least in me and my siblings. And we still managed to have a very happy childhood.

Glad you are making it onboard!!!! I believe there are still a few lanyards left. Apparently there are some shirts too, but folk are waiting for Todd to say what sizes are available. I think you have to order sizes for wristbands this weekend.

Dining. There are groups linking both at early and late seating. MrsMork is taking names for early, and I think it is Gismo for late, but not sure.
