So thankful all is well.

A pinched nerve in the area of my shoulder blade. I actually have much more relief today, but don't want to brag yet.

I am taking my grandson Nathan's girlfriend shopping today. That is the couple I sent you homecoming pictures of. She wants to go to the outlets and we have such a good time together so I know we will enjoy our day. I think Nathan may be a little jealous, but he has football practice, so I will take him another day!:lovestruc Anything for my kids.

My dd had a breast biopsy yesterday and I have been on pins and needles in two different ways. She called at noon yesterday to say she was sore but everything appeared okay. Now to wait for the official okay!

Have a wonderful day. It is very foggy here right now, but suppose to be in the 60's. I could take this weather until spring. Maybe I will, in South Carolina!:lmao:
let us know when its official:grouphug:
Oh No...

:sail:only 8 weeks to go::sail:

Lets get this party started!

I was walking the beags today in the pouring rain and howling wind and was thinking the exact same:cool2:

I went ahead and changed my flight to the non-stop on Friday. I only hope we can get to the airport on time. I know the last time, we had a 10:00am flight and made it and this time the flight is at 10:40am so hopefully it won't be a problem.

We are going to just get a limo to LAX, does anyone else have an early flight on Friday?

We want to book an 11:50 flight but we want to use the airline checkin, so we have not booked it yet. We are also considering southwest's 1:50 and would have booked it if they participated in airline checkin.

We have a 12:40 flight out of LAX via SWA. Like poohs4me, we hope they are participating by the time we go. Otherwise, we're planning on using Super Shuttle. I would love a limo, but just not the cost :goodvibes

Just ordered lots and lots of new clothes, lol, I need them like a hole in the head but still, :dance3:
Got a haircut today and booked another for the 30th december, wooooohoooooooo holiday haircut.:yay::yay:

For the last PC cruise, I got a stretch limo for $120 including tip. He was on time, had a nice limo stocked with stuff (which we didn't touch because we just had breakfast) and got us to the airport on time. The DCL transfers would have been $90 for the three of us, so it was not that much difference to leave when we wanted to and not have to worry about a bus full of people.

I found a hummer limo that can fit 20 people to take us to LAX for $275 or a regular stretch that holds 9 people for $175. That is still a lot cheaper than Disney transfers.

anyone fans of so you think you can dance? :dance3:got to go to the show here last night and meet everyone! It was soooooo fun! :banana:also, anyine here as big a GLEEK as me? Do we get Fox on the boat? don't know if I can miss it while sailing away!-SM's wife

I'm not of the "absolutely MUST watch" brigade - I'll watch if I'm at home when it's on, but it's currently DD1's favourite show - she watches a lot of episodes online. She's a "song and dance" kid :)

More replies in a moment.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Thanks for all the well wishes for DD1- exams are over ! Yay !

We had Remembrance Day here yesterday - always at the 11th hour - our thoughts are with all those families.

Did you all read on the main board that they're implementing some new menus for our cruise ? Not that we've sailed before, but it might be good news for those who've sailed recently.

Lynne - you and me both with the clothes, much to DH's dismay ;) I also need to do *something* with my hair before our trip - I'm thinking of having it straightened ....

DES - I owe you an email, but it'll have to wait until this afternoon.

Port arrival in LA - I like Nicole's idea of hiring with Hertz. Then someone mentioned on the main board that getting a room at on of the airport hotels for the day may be the way to go, so we might do that - make it our base for the day, as our flight is 10.25pm.

I've forgotten everything else - sorry ! I've got lots to do today before I leave this weekend - if I don't get back on this afternoon, then I'll be back in 3 or so days.

Have a great day / evening everyone.

Cheers,
Sally :)

I was looking at Budgets website today - we can rent a car for about $90 or fly direct from LAX to Fresno for $90/pp - so the car rental is looking like the best option. I also need to do more research and see which rental car location is closest to the port. Budget's ICE Downtown says they will deliver but not sure of the actual location.

Has anyone already looked this up??

When I was looking into Budget this is the location I was told this is closest to the port:

249 EAST OCEAN BOULEVARD #104
LONG BEACH, CA 90802 US
LG2

I too would like to offer my thanks and appreciation to all those that serve or have served in the military and their families for their service and sacrafice.

I got 18-55mm & 70-300mm both with IS. :cheer2:

OH you are set. You will :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc those lenses.

On this Veteran's Day, if any of you would like to remember our troops by sending a Holiday package here is one of many opportunities:

Hi Valerie!

Thanks so much for returning! We got such a good response that Andrew has asked me to forward future mail to his nearby fellow troops.

I am particularly trying to get enough Christmas stockings for them all. Take a look at my blog link below for more info.
Of course, if you just want to send a package that is fine.
For Christmas arrivals we need items shipped within the next week to be sure. So I'm hoping for a few more for Andrew and the troops.

Let me know if you think you can do a few. And may I suggest that you visit my website too. If you submit your email address there you will get alerts (about monthly) of new projects and soldiers.

Here's where you can send your packages. If you decide to do the stockings, just tell me how many as I'm keeping track of how many go to each unit.

The guys in this unit need everything! They are in a very remote location. For Christmas the stockings should have lots of fun stuff though, like chocolate, candy canes (small ones don't break as much), cookies, gum, sport magazines, little cans of energy drinks, but also a new toothbrush, small shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant is good. And maybe a photo of your group or family to make it very personal. More suggestions and tips are on my blog.

No home made items (cookies, brownies, etc) can be accepted. No hand sanitizer is allow through the mail.

Be sure to send everything PRIORITY MAIL after November 1st, if they are to receive it by the week before Christmas. FLAT RATE boxes are usually the best price. There is additional information on my blog.

On the Customs Declaration form, under "in case of non-delivery" put Andrew May, same address.
Andrew sent me this soldier and a request for him and his troops.

Here are some ideas of what to write on a note in the Christmas stockings:

Hello and Merry Christmas from _____________________
We received your unit through Andrew May and "Aunt Nancy"
www.auntnancyusa.com
We hope this gift puts a smile on your face a adds a little sunshine/cheer to your holiday... or, Sending this in case Santa can't get fly over clearance....
We are thinking of you and the sacrifices you are making for our country.
A reply is not necessary, but we would like to know this package was received,
and you can let us know of any special requests we might be able to help you with.

Your name,
Group name
address
and email (if you want them to email -- which is more likely than a returned note)

On the Customs Declaration form you will have to list contents. Don't be too accurate.
Example:
Rather than "Snicker bars, Christmas stockings, gum"
I would list:
"sugar bars, red socks, gum"
Thieves won't be as enticed!

I would appreciate help spreading the word about my fundraiser (below) also.

Christmas packages to this Afghanistan unit need to be mailed ASAP as it can take up to 6 weeks for them to receive boxes, even Priority Mail.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Harole Ann- Will pray that your DD test come out well. I know the feeling.

Thanks so much for your prayers. So far no news is good news!

Harole Ann, I hope the final results are as good as the prelimnary for DD!

I talked to my dd this evening and she says she feels fine & no phone call yet. She was told if she got an immediate call it would not be good so we are hoping that this is a good thing.
.

On this Veteran's Day as every Veteran's Day I think of my father who lied about his age to be able to serve his country and enlist in the Army. He served in WWI. I have a picture of him as a very young man serving in the Army Military Police in France. I was always so proud of my Daddy, everyday!

I had a good day today shopping with Maelynne and then spending the evening with her and my two youngest grandsons with pizza for dinner. It is so nice not to eat alone and have a house full of young people. Jasmine enjoyed it too!

Greetings everyone!

Very little time right now, but I wanted to check in a say "Hi!"

Happy Veteran's Day to all who are serving, to those who have served and to their families! There are so many who have given everything for our Freedom and I am truly grateful! Let's start our Holiday Season by giving thanks to our service men and women!

Kay, I'm so glad your hubby is okay~what a scare that must have been.

Harole Ann, your DD is in my prayers!

Lynne, I ran across this image today and I thought you might want it.

To everyone else, I hope you have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend.

God Bless!

Looked ealier at Categories left for our cruise. Has it suddenly sold out?? Last week I'm sure there was almost every category available and now either 10,11 or 4. Do you think other categories will become available again?

Yes I think some of the other categories will pop back up again, it's been happening for the last week.

I have my hair appointments booked too!!! 30th December for my pre cruise one like you!!!:cool1:

On our 2008 PC cruise a large group joined together for Hummer hire. I think one from WDW and one from the airport. Baggage was in a trailer I think. I think they had a lot of fun and it wasn't too expensive each.
