We Surprised our 5 Nieces and Nephews With a cruise on the Dream later in the year...

Had a photo made into a puzzle, then put puzzle in Stupid puzzle box, Nephew said thanks and opened next present. After Dinner we said hey Ty lets have some family fun and do a puzzle, even when it was done they new it was a Disney ship but had no Idea, as we had left out one piece the one with the name and date of the cruise we put that in a card and gave it to Tyler and said read it out loud.

Our daughter found out about the cruise this morning. I tied our docs to Crush and put him under the tree in an unmarked bag. When everything else was opened she asked who the last gift was for...my husband said not sure ... Why don't you open it. When the screaming stopped her comment was "pretty book but it doesn't say anything". Gotta love 11 year olds and ftheir grasp of the obvious!
We tried to look at a few things online but the site was really slow... I guess there were a lot of cruises under trees this morning!
Hope everyone had a good day - need to get a good nights sleep so I'm ready for the great Canadian tradition .... Boxing day shopping

We just got back from Disneyland as always beautiful during Christmas.
The World of Color show was off the hook-very cool.
Also we stayed at the Paradise Pier on the conceirge level.
This has got to be Disneyland's best kept secret.
Huge rooms and one quarter of the price of the Grand Californian.
Looking forward to meeting everyone onboard the ship very soon.

So on the 23rd our documents arrived. I also got a second set of documents Fedex'd to me with my name on the Fedex package but inside there were documents for a couple of people coming from Brazil? So I called DCL and they told me to open them to find out the name. Turns out they have a way better room than we do. So I told DCL I thought it was only fair we got that room and they got ours (but they didn't go for the idea)

I managed to hide our documents and on Christmas morning, I surprised my wife and daughter with the tickets along with new costumes for Pirates night. After a 15 month secret I was finally able to tell them. I think my daughter (10) was more excited about the new pirate costume than the ticket, at least at that point.

Hope everyone else had a great Christmas. Now looking towards the busiest night and day in Niagara Falls, New Year Eve and Day.

Returned from WDW on Christmas Eve and when the post office was open today, I was able to get our stopped mail and our Cruise Documents were there.

Catching up on this forum, I saw the note about the Fantasy Maiden Voyage being moved so we are very disappointed with that news. We booked the Fantasy with our DD's because the April 7th sail date matched up with their Spring Break. I called Disney and cancelled the April 7th cruise so we could get our non-refundable deposit back since Disney was making the change.
Thinking of re-booking while we are on the Dream cruise so we can get the on-board booking discount and then the deposits would be refundable like a normal cruise.
