Hello everyone and welcome!
For those that don't know me, I'm Alicia aka Leshaface and have been a DIS member for a few years now. I'm married to my best friend and partner-in-crime, Daniel aka DH.
At WDW:
And at Disneyland:
Just recently (VERY recently actually), I've become a DCL junkie! My DH, DB, Dsil, and I got off the Dream in June and had a blast! To read all about that trip, click here. We all had an AMAZING time and the moment I boarded the ship, was the moment I knew I would be obsessed with DCL.
How this trip came about: So for those that didn't read my past TR, DH and I had signed up to book another cruise for next year while on the cruise, but the CM's were slammed with other guests trying to take advantage of the 10% off and OBC for any booked future cruises. So we filled out a card and they had told us they would be in contact within 2 weeks. Well, no call. And we still wanted to cruise! So DH ended up calling and the CM was able to see that we qualified for the discount and OBC! So we booked for another Bahamas Cruise on the Dream, living in June of 2012.
For those that don't know, it's just the two of us. However, we're looking to expand the brand and we want to do it soon. So we got to thinking: We don't want to start AFTER our cruise next year, because we'll be a year older. And we can't start now because how horrible would it be if we were to get pregnant before our cruise, and I couldn't have any fun (i.e. partake in Bahama Mama's , not look cute in dresses/bikinis). Not that being pregnant would be HORRIBLE but I wouldn't be able to do all the things I had wanted to do.
We decided to see what else was available within the next few months and there was tons of options for much cheaper, AND much longer itineraries! We ultimately made the decision to switch the Bahamas cruise to the Mexican Riviera cruise for a few reasons:
1) Was a waaay cheaper cruise
2) Didn't have to fly meaning more money to play with on the ship!
3) The port is only 2 1/2 hours from home
4) We could try and get pregnant sooner
5) It's a 7 night cruise compared to a 5 night cruise
That's right folks. ANOTHER DISNEY CRUISE IN A FEW SHORT MONTHS! DECEMBER 11-18, 2011 I'm so beyond excited and I can't wait to share every aspect of the trip with you guys!....well, not every aspect. But yes! This WILL be the cruise where we will officially try to start having kids!
And I must thank Bonnie for the title of the TR, so THANK YOU BONNIE!
I hope you'll join me in what will hopefully be a very successful trip!
