Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

The hat appears to be small, but it fit nicely on hubby's big ole head with room to pull it down and just have his mouth showing. give it a whirl, it bugs me they put stuff sooooooo far up on the walls, if it's busy we don't even bother asking for help... wonder how many sales they lose for this?

He said the tongue piercing was less pain then biting your tongue (Speaking from experience, he bit his tongue pretty bad with those seizures 3-4 years ago.)

Okay, trying to decide between leaving Monday morning or Tuesday. The hang up.. I don't have a regular credit card.. so I would need extra $ in my bank account for the "hold" for another night. One night would be okay, two nights might be too much for the "hold" if the hotel is evil about it. (I've heard as much as 200% of the cost per night).

I got sucked into the budget board.... not nice at all. :sad2: Now I remember why I stopped posting here and stayed on facebook. Nothing like a few bad apples to stoke the fires. :rolleyes1 Staying away from it so I don't need more high blood pressure meds. :lmao:

Albort is not a CM anymore?!

There are rude people on the budget board?! Doesn't it seem like people on a budget board should be... I don't know, friendly and helpful? :confused3

We're back from the birthday celebration at my sister's. Birthday girl DNiece(12), who as the only granddaughter is the apple of my dad's eye, was encouraging Grampa to give her birthday boy brother(14) fourteen whacks. Which is kind of funny, since the moose outweighs my dad by at least 50 lbs. and is at least 5 inches taller! :scared1:

I pointed out that she was due for twelve whacks of her own then, and she sweetly noted, "Well, technically my birthday isn't for a couple more days..." :cutie::rotfl:

DN14 spent the evening chasing the little ones around. DS7 and other DNephew(3) were having a blast, but HOLY COW, was it loud for awhile! Then when we sat down to eat it was blessedly quiet. Nothing like cacophony to make you appreciate the silence.

At the end of the evening DNephew gleefully bent down to give me a hug goodbye tonight, the rat. :sad2:

And DN3 did not want everyone to go home. He started yelling, "No!" as his parents tried to get him in their car. I pulled out first, and the boys rolled down their windows and called out a final goodbye to him. The biggest, fattest pouty lip you have ever seen slowly turned into a wide-open-mouthed wail, poor li'l guy.

Albort just recently resigned as a CM.

Rude people on budget board? Heck ya! :eek:I have to force myself to stop posting there (troll feeding).
But there are some helpful people too. :goodvibes

 My boys are taller than dh and I, they happily point it out whenever possible.
I think my mom shrunk, I have to reach down to hug her now (reminder to self..tell mom, to get a dexa scan).

awwww, I get a kick out of preschoolers. :cutie: My youngest DN is 5, but size and developmentally closer to 3 or 4 (he was just 1 pound at birth, 4 months premature. Autism spectrum, limited speech, hearing aid due to damage from the ventilator, very small/underweight). He grabbed Justin by the hand, demanded "you watch me!" and would not take no for an answer. Justin spent most of our visit playing with the lil guy. Cute seeing this big/TALL 18 yr old jumping on the trampoline and climbing on the play equipment with this miniature boss at his side. :rotfl:

Hiya!

A quick peek around the DIS while I try to wrangle DS7 through his bath. He used to love taking a bath, would BEG to take a bath! Then he turned into a dirt-lovin', soap-avoidin' boy! :sad2:

They are little tyrants, aren't they? Describes my DN3 pretty well.

*snort* Thats my house everyday. Only with one teen, and the rest 9 and under. :lmao:

I am flippin beat. This weekend kicked my BUTT. Alex had tutoring after school friday, Julie and Alex went to a football game friday night.. Saturday morning I did laundry, then we took the big kids bowling, then we went to the park.. then we went out for frozen yogurt... then dh and I went out after the littles went to bed.. SUnday we had errands to do and then we went to the ocean.

Good morning, all!

Kids are off to school on time today! DS7 is easily distracted in the mornings, so it's a real struggle to get him out the door. I only had to threaten him twice with DS11 leaving without him. ;)

Now I'm going for my annual exam (yep, that one) and then off to the gym. Gotta get back into my routine!

Good news! Got checked under the hood, and... I'm still a girl! :lmao:
Had to come back to the house and grab my earbuds and some water. Now I AM GOING to work out! :thumbsup2

Hello? Is this microphone on? Testing, 1 - 2 - 3! :mic:

Trying to wrangle the kids into bathing/bed right now. DS7 is coming up with every excuse in the book and an endless list of questions, so my patience is wearing thin. He's gone to brush his teeth 3 times now, and still comes back without having done it, URG! "I don't want that toothpaste, I want the other kind" and "Where is the bag we had from Great Wolf Lodge?" and "I don't have any underwear." (He just got out of the bath.)

I'm tired, so I think I won't be long behind him in getting to bed... if I ever get him there. :sad2:

The hubster wants to see if we can swing a trip to DL next october.. His friend is going.. The ones we went to DL with last spring. Im gonna say... MAYBE. Its a tight, tight maybe on that one. Julie wont be with us, and we might be able to swing it with the 6 of us....

eh... having an "ouch" day. Went to the gym to swim last night, did some good stretching and a couple laps. I was tired but felt "loose" and okay.

This evening, not so much. It's frustrating as sometimes I am not sure what sets me off.

So, I'm sitting up in bed with the computer and the TV is on netflix. Using our cannibalized wii that needs a little help to keep running.

It got tipped over while running a game, game got stuck inside. It's long past warranty so we took off the face plate and pried out the stuck game. Works okay now, but it overheats after a 1/2 hour, I put my table top fan behind it. And the front is gone, you need a pen to push the teeeny tiny buttons to turn off/on, eject games.. but hey! It's still alive :thumbsup2
Ahh the joys of technology. :rotfl:

Hi!

DBF and I are going to Disneyland this weekend to see the Halloween stuff. It's Gay Days which I hear is a fun weekend to go but I'm worried it's going to be packed.

Hi!

DBF and I are going to Disneyland this weekend to see the Halloween stuff. It's Gay Days which I hear is a fun weekend to go but I'm worried it's going to be packed.

I've gone on gay days weekend before..more packed on Saturday (picks up in the afternoon and is uber busy until the fireworks, most of the crowd leaves right after fireworks.) Go early, stay late :thumbsup2 Very light crowds on Sunday, a happier day with families in rainbow and red shirts. :goodvibes

I hope to see you at the park Sarah :) Even if it's just a quick hi :) I will be there because the DJ I kidnapped must be returned to ElecTRONica. lol. jk. ;) Maybe ;) lol

We happened to be there over gay days for two years in a row. It was fine. I dont think that it was much busier then other times we have been there. When we went over spring break there were lots of fellas wearing gay days shirts traveling together. We kinda figured they were havin a mini-gay days meet thingy.

It looks like we are going next October for a family trip. We are probably gonna stay at the hojos in the family suite. We are also looking into checking out Universal, Magic Mountain, or Knotts. I am hoping that dh will agree to take the Alex to Magic Mountain, and I can take the littles to DL for an extra day. Or just take them down to the pool area at the hotel.. I dont want to go to Magic mountain, not a roller coaster gal.. Nor do I particularly want to go to KNotts... Or Universal. We are kinda wanting to save universal for Orlando.. and if we do knotts, its gonna be me sitting with the littles all day while him and Alex do the big rides. Id rather be a t Disneyland, or at the hotel. But I dont think I can convince him to do that.

Hi ladies!

I haven't forgot about you. It's just hard to keep up with everything.

Once again, I am so excited to have you guys coming for the ladies trip!

Woo hoo! :woohoo:
