We set sail in 9 weeks! That's 63 days!

Oh wow...when we booked this cruise we had a little less then 365 days to go...and now....we are down to 63.....I'm getting really excited.....and my kids still don't know about vacation LOL

Here is a new one from ******. I think it would make a neat t-shirt. If I get a good offer from Vista and I could get it back before I mail the cruise shirts out, I'll let you know. I'd post the images I have already ordered tee-shirts from so no additional image upload would be charged. The last order those were $4.97 each with no shipping fee.

BoosGram= i sent you a Pm with some infornation about where we are staying and celebrating. Don't know if it went through. this thread is acting crazy. Let me know if you did not get it.

I have a question about tip envelops. Although there is an active thread about tipping, I don't really want to get in the debate that tipping tends to start. So, I hope no one minds if I ask my question here as it isn't really about tipping, but about delivering the envelops. For different reasons, I have missed the dining room on the last night on the last two cruises. Either I was sick, or a child was sick, but it didn't matter because I had another adult that could go deliver the tips. I'm worried about what I can do if for some unforseen reason this occurs again, without another adult with us. Hopefully it won't be a problem, but if I'm cabin bound, can I call Guest Services, would they be willing to pick them up? Or if my son is okay, can he take them to Guest Services? Can they be left in the stateroom? What are my options if getting out and delivering them is a problem?

Are you sitting with the group at dinner? Main or late sitting groups? If you are just contact one of us in your eating group and I am sure we could come by and get it for you and deliver with ours and explain to server :) Even if you're not one of us would be happy to get it and take it to proper dining room on our way and give it to the head of the dining room to hand them. Should not be a problem....you have a ton of back-up here :dance3:

BoosGram I also sent a PM because I couldn't remember if I had done it before :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am losing track of what I have and haven't done for this cruise :confused3 Way too much going on in personal life and my age are becoming interfering factors in my normal pre-trip planning!

We had to cancel our bank account and open a different one because someone managed to hack into our account just about the time I needed to pay for something here, but I couldn't do anything for a few days. Love my credit union...got a phone call at 6am asking me (who lives in Seattle) if I was my any chance in France buying software LOL..instantly shut down before they were able to do anything!!

I know I need to pay someone for something I am signed up for but cannot find a past thread to remind me what so if I am in one of your groups or classes and have not paid yet and was supposed to please PM me :rotfl: I need to catch up here!!

No, I didn't get one from you...I got three! :confused3

I've started looking into options for getting to the port from San Diego. I checked into the possibility of using a shuttle and that is just too expensive. So now it looks like we will be driving to the port. Disney says parking is going to be $12 / day (subject to change) or $180 for the entire cruise. Anyone exploring other long term parking options or is that our best bet?

If, Corinna?? :rotfl: ("If is good.")

I think I may just be too busy to schedule those in. The one that I really would like to do is the Mojito and Caiphirinha tasting, but on our Mexican Riviera cruise, this was scheduled for some very odd timings. Still, Signals will keep me in Melon Mojitos if all else fails.

For us it will only be 2 months now until our vacation begins. I can't believe how quickly this is approaching now. Well, so far my battle plan is going according to schedule. I have finished the last of the Fish Extender gifts today. For the next two weeks, I will concentrate on preparing the jewellery workshops.

We rebooked a stay at the Double Tree San Pedro after staying and leaving our car there in October for our MR cruise. We are payment $247.38 (after taxes) for a harbor view room for two, the Sunday brunch for two, two drink tickets and parking for the 14 days. They have shuttle to the pier.

Secret Mickey - Last Call

If you have ever participated in Secret Santa, then you have a good idea what this is about. You will be allocated a family or an individual and it is then your task to spoil them rotten during the cruise. The budget for this is $25 to $30. This does not have to be anything faqncy. During the cruise, you should drop a little something off for your Secret Mickey 2 or 3 times. This can be a note, some candy, a souvenir, a magnet, etc. On the last sea day there will be a reveal session and during this, you should give your Secret Mickey a slightly bigger present.

You can sign up for Secret Mickey through the following links:

Scavenger Hunt

There has been a little change of plan due to the sheer number of people signing up for this. Rather that me printing all the Scavenger Hunt packs, which would take up a significant part of my luggage allowance, I will email this as a PDF file to everybody signed up. Then you can print your own and bring it on the cruise.

Please fill out the below form:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dG5vWFAtd21XVE9rNnBSMDg1RkN2ZEE6MQ

I will then email the file to everybody who has filled out the form at the beginning of April.

DIS Group Navigator

I wanted to keep this as simple as possible and was just planning to send this automatically to everybody whose email address I have. However, I had a play today with possible formats and hit a snag. The version for people who wish to print this will be in a way that each page takes up half a page of letter size paper so that it is easy to carry around with you. I uploaded a sample of this format on my eReader and iPad and it is simply too small to read. So I am going to offer two versions: the more compact version for people who which to print the navigator and a full page version for people who want to upload it on any kind of electronic device. As this is getting a bit more complex, I have created another Google Form, on which you just have to fill out your DIS Name, email address and which version you want. This can be found here:

We parked at port in the past and loved being right by ship. We were on the freeway 20 minutes after getting off ship:) that alone made it worth it to me. I hate transferring with shuttles, but we have extra baggage traveling with wheelchair...

Corinna thank you....you have helped me get a little handle on what I am doing and I am pretty sure at this point I don't owe you money so we are good.

Val could you PM me because I am pretty sure you are one I owe and I can't find last e-mail with final cost details from tee shirts. Need amount and paypal account. I am only half way through everyplace I need to change account numbers for automatic deposits and payments... ugh, what a mess and time waster this has been.

Also did you do Doubletree reservation separate instead of with Dis group? Or did you upgrade what they help for us?

Hope to work on FE gifts this afternoon watching Oscars since they start so early.

Washington cruisers------Looking for the Puget Sound area cruisers. How about a get together in March to meet each other? Maybe meet for dinner in a central location for everyone? I am willing to organize it. Let me know by PM here or on the cruise Facebook page.

We made the reservations on our own, before it was offered on the boards.

I'll send you a PM regarding the t-shirts. Val

Is this new form and we need to send it again, even if we are on the list already.....sorry, i'm a little confused....

Ditto that!!! We are doing the same package of room, parking, brunch & drinks at the Doubletree, and loved how it all worked out in Dec....especially the harbor view with king bed & timely shuttle!

Last time, DH took our drink vouchers to the lobby bar & picked up a couple glasses of wine to bring back to the room --great view of the harbor! Then we also used the glasses throughout the rest of the evening enjoying a bottle we brought with us. Great way to start to unwind for vacation. Of course, sounds like there will be a party in the lobby this time!! :woohoo:

The whole thing is $214 (plus tax, so probably works out to be the same amount of $247), and includes all of those things, plus....... they are not the least bit picky about how long you leave your car there! We ended up booking a great rate that came out for a B2B on the following cruise (7 nights to Vancouver.....weird, I know, to go from tropical to chilly in "one cruise" :rotfl:)... but anyway..... I called to see what would be involved in leaving the car another week, and was told not to worry about it!! :cool1: So it is far less than $12 per day for us! :rolleyes1

We did this separately from the group offer because we wanted the harbor view room - the Wonder strolls by silently at 6:30 am & goes right past the window (of course, you can catch it from the lobby restaurant too)... :]
.

I was thinking about that today and liked it so back to the drawing board LOL I think it will be 5 groups of around 22-23 that everyone is under that wanted 25 and everyone can do all groups and its essentially the same amount.......

That is a wonderful solution!!! Sounds perfect! :thumbsup2

I signed up for all groups when I sent in the form, so I think you probably already have me down...but just want to say that I DO still want to do that!! I've been amassing a ton of pieces to my "puzzle" for FE assembly...lol...too much fun! :hippie:

.

I can start a list of those wanting to celebrate "celebrations" together at a Palo Brunch during one of our sea days. I would need a list of names, what you are celebrating and room number. I have never done this but would be happy to put this list together and call/fax our request to DCL and see if we can get a reservation. Just PM me and let me know if you want to join us. The cut-off will be March 4th and I will contact DCL after that and post a master list of those joining:)
