Oh thank goodness, I was getting tired of checking every single hour....I got my date of August 7th (the time was a bit strange- 9:10, I don't remember that in the past) for 3, now let's hope the weather gods are kind.......at least everything I could control is taken care of I know this is a first world problem, but seriously, watching fireworks in the crowd compared to this terrace, worth every penny!

Had a job interview this morning so i missed the actual first "August is open post"! But i just called and got August 26th! Hope we were one of the first few and get a great seat (if that is indeed how it works!)! And you are not kidding when you say what will i do now? this has consumed just about the last 3 weeks of our lives!!! geez, Disney! o well i am so excited about my 1st dessert party and celebrating CJJenkins law school graduation.....WITH CHOCOLATE....again hehe

I got reservations for August 12th (my son's birthday) for a party of 8!!!! I am soooooo excited!!!

yeah, 9:10 for me too. Weirdest time ever.

Rregarding the time: I have had the 9:10 time before. I would ignore that, and be ready to be let in at 9:00. In the three times I have been, they have nnever gone by those "minute" times. THey start checking people in and passing out wrist bands at 8:30 (or 1.5 hours before Wishes). They let everyone in at 9:00.

Unless things will be run differently now. In that case... ignore me!

Too funny, I was orignally going to book August 12 but I decided to book for August 17, to finish our last night in Disney World before going back home. This will be our first dessert party and I am so excited!

We've gone the last three years and have never stayed in our seats for the actual fireworks (and Memories show last year). In fact last year we had great seats in the front near the photographer and didn't even think to stay in them. I enjoy being up along the railing with everyone else, oohhing and ahhhing, knowing you're a part of the experience yet not getting bowled over by parents, who show up at the last possible second believing their little darlings take presidence over you and your well being (can you tell I really don't like the fireworks crowd?!?!?!).

In fact, I had a friend go for the first time and they did this buffet, and her comment afterwards was "I don't know if we'd do it again". My first question- did you watch the fireworks WITH the crowd too that week? They hadn't, to which I replied "Oh you'd be quite motivated to do the dessert buffet again if you had" I sound like a crabby old lady (which I'm not) but the way people treat others in the happiest place on Earth is horrible at times. I'm happy for you, I wish only good memories for you after this experience. It really is a lovely view that we pay good money to experience!

After doing the Party 4 times I totally agree with you ... don't know if I could ever go back to watching with the general crowd. We do always get up and watch from the rail but it's so nice .... no pushing or crowding.

I've been checking every morning. Figures with my luck, I checked about 9:50 a.m. this morning and still nothing so I gave up on it for the day. Just for fun, I checked back before leaving work and lo and behold, ITS OPEN.
