We are here on our last night and first time visit to beach club. We loved it!!! I am so sad to leave. I have stayed at WL, Old Key West and POFQ. I loved how you didn't feel like the resort was too big but it had everything you could want. I don't know if that makes sense....:). We had a room on the fourth floor and a garden view that faced Epcot. It was awesome. Fireworks every night and could see the tops of the buildings.

We walked to Epcot and HS. The HS is a nice walk and fun to walk on the board walk. Animal Kingdom buses were constant. My one complaint about BC is the bus to MK. Even on off hours is was not great, wasn't horrible but I expected more from a deluxe resort. One time we waited over 40 minutes for a bus at the magic kingdom. No clue what it was. But two mornings we noticed Cast Members sitting there counting us and counting seats and watches. They didn't talk to us and seemed busy. I have a feeling Disney is well aware of the problem and is working on it.

Cape May was a great character breakfast. Only three of them, but they spend time with the kids. Also Beaches and Cream was fun!

Hi! I am helping a friend plan her Disney vacation. It will be 3 adults & 2 children. They are staying Club Level, which I understand is on floor 5. I have my fingers crossed for her that that floor is open & finished with the remodeling by their check in date of 12-3. I am just wondering what are her options for room views in this category?

Standard view club level is a view of a roof or parking lot.

I am missing something here. You say club level, but then there are three options: 1) standard (which TeenaS described, 2) garden view and 3) water view. Do you know which was paid for or am I just missing it in your description? I am guessing with five in the room standard was all they were allowed to book unless one of the kids is a baby? Either way, they are going to have a great time and you have them at a great resort!

We have never stayed at BC or YC. I only see one problem....we are going to love it and never stay anywhere else! :)

A good problem to have!!!

(And one shared by many of us here)

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay. We had Rms 401&402 at BCV. 401 had a view of the entrance and 401 looked out onto the Villas pool, with the Spaceship Earth in the background. Both were dedicated 2BR I think. Our sons family was in 401, the Grandkids would get up and come have breakfast with us,and discuss our day. We really had a great time. I fell in love with Cape May! We had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast there. Best food of my trip. This was probably our 1st and last stay. It truly was a once in a lifetime trip. I will come back to Cape May! If Scott and his family come back I believe they will stay here. DH and I will return to SoG. We have our memories of an awesome Resort! I would not hesitate to recommend BCV to anyone. Thanks to the Disboards for all the tips I got from reading the forums.

Thanks so much for letting us know about your trip! So glad you loved the resort and your trip.

Is there any chance that you have pictures showing the views from these rooms. I have a thread for BCV room pictures so that guests can see a sample of some of the possible views. There are some pictures from 402 there, but wouldn't mind seeing more.

BCV Room Pictures

If you do, would you mind adding them to the thread if you are able to post pictures or if not, you can email them to me at beachclubdee at yahoo.

I'm a little late in posting this, since it's been a little over a month since we went, but just wanted to show the view from our room in BCV. This was room 457, a one-bedroom villa.

And looking at our home resort from the YC/BC boat dock:

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Would you mind adding the room pictures to this thread, or giving me permission to add it?

:welcome: to this thread.

As Teena mentioned, for Standard View, you will have a view of a rooftop or parking lot. You can check out the views in the Standard Category of the BC View Thread- Rooms starting with the number 5 will be club level rooms.

Beach Club Room Views

You may want to suggest a room based on location- close to elevator/close to lobby, to make it convenient for the family. Or if they prefer less traffic (but a longer walk)- they might ask for a quiet area or away from elevators.

:offtopic:

I know it is typical to have trip nightmares while sleeping in the time leading up to a special vacation. Mine usually center around cameras- I forgot my camera, I didn't bring the charger, etc or other packing faux pas.

Well, last night I had my first nightmare for the class trip I will be taking in 6 months.

In my dream, instead of getting vouchers for meals at CS restaurants during the trip, we only got vouchers for 2 snacks a day.

I'm going on a trip with 130 13-and-14 year olds and this is what scares me?

:faint:

The thought of spending any time with that amount of teenagers is scary. At least you have some experience under your belt with it. I am sure it will be fine.

wdwinfo specifically says the slide and bridge 1 will be closed. What is bridge 1?

Good question RosieGMendez! I've looked for a map or something that shows where Bridge 1 is and couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know where Bridge 1 is at SAB?

Thanks!

I don't know the answer, but here is a detailed birds-eye map of SAB. If I had to guess, I would say that Bridge 1 is the bridge just to the left of the pool area labeled Sinking Sands.

THANK YOU so much to skelooch for providing this incredible labeled birds-eye view of Stormalong Bay!!!
please note that the playground equipment labeled above has been removed recently.

I asked about letters regarding pool rehab and they said they haven't gone out yet because dates and what is being done isn't finalized.

We had first floor room with a patio 2 weeks ago and we loved it. That said, the "patio" is a very small pad fronted with mature plantings. In the area we were in, kids could not have "run outside" without running through and damaging mature plantings.
Also...beyond the fact that patios might be restricted to the concrete pad due to landscaping...the higher you are, the better your view of fireworks (if you are in a room that faces fireworks).

We had an incredible view of Epcot fireworks from our 3rd floor garden view room last October. We would not have had the same view had our room been on the 1st floor...and my kids loved the fireworks. Just a thing to keep in mind.

Good luck with your trip pixiedust: .

Thank you so much for checking on that Teena. I have been hesitant to rely on the postings from other sites when we haven't seen anything official from the resort.

:)

This past Saturday we decided to check out the yacht club for the very first time. Wow! Looks amazing. Beyond excited for our YC stay in January. 52 days! Never stayed deluxe and after just staying at value again it will be a nice change.

Just returned home on Saturday night from the most amazing stay at the beach club! We were sad we didn't get to meet teena but Jaclyn at the front desk was fantastic. She supplied my kids with an abundance of crayons and coloring books. It kept them occupied for hours. My kids enjoyed the little childrens movie area in the lobby. It was my daughters favorite. The pool was outstanding!!!!!! My kids spent hours in the sandy pool area. The pirate slide was a little to adventurous for them but they enjoyed the kiddie slide. They even asked to leave AK early to go back to the pool! Claire at cape May cafe breakfast was so extremely kind and gave us the best service. We took advantage of the walk to epcot and HS daily. Epcot turned out to be one of my childrens favorite parks. Fast cars for my son and tons of princesses for my daughter. This trip was fantastic and we can't wait to come back!
