Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We were upgraded to the 2 bedroom Captain's Deck suite at the Yacht Club last December. One of the rooms has 2 queen beds & the other has a canopied king bed. There are 2 full & a half bath in the suite. The master bedroom actually has a jetted tub plus a walk in shower & seperate water closet. Many other amenities but it runs over $2k a night! Don't know if an extra bathroom is worth that to you! :goodvibes
:welcome:

When is your proposed trip?

Another option may be to get two rooms. On one hand, you won't all be together at night (although you could request a connecting door). On the other hand- two bathrooms and you would all have your own bed. Also note that you will be charged $25 per night, I think for both the 3rd and 4th adult in the room if you are sharing a single room, so that could be a couple-hundred dollar hit. You won't have to pay that if you have 2 rooms.

Should be less expensive than getting a suite, and hopefully you will find a decent discount.

:thumbsup2
Two rooms seems like the best bet. Suites are mega expensive, and I'm not sure what the bathroom count is. But I'm fairly sure you could get three rooms for the price of a suite!! Also, BC Villa 2-bedroom has two bathrooms. The 2-bedroom villas are popular, which makes them hard to reserve. But sounds like a good option if you want to stay together.

Thank you so much for all of your replies! I really appreciate it!

Wow - what an upgrade, @focusondisney ! That sounds heavenly! I can't imagine how fabulous that would be - we need a generous benefactor!

Unfortunately, we're going Easter week! :crazy2: Two of my sisters are teachers in different states, and this is the first year in probably six years that their spring breaks have aligned! Since we're only paying for ourselves (and not entire families), we're willing to go a little more "deluxe", but the suite option may be too much and not really solving our bedroom/bathroom thing unless we go really big! We're also strongly considering club level. I'd consider the villas, but no one seems to want to do them, but thanks for letting me know the two bedrooms are tough to book, since that's probably what we'd go for!

Thanks also for reminding me about the $25 upcharge for the two extra adults! It would definitely impact our savings, plus then we're still sharing beds/bath. I proposed the two room option and your replies make me think it's the best choice overall, but they want to know what their options are, so now I can report back with more info!

Thanks again! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions! :disrocks:

Hi Everyone! I'm just going to be calling CRO today to put some final requests on my reservation. We have booked a Lagoon/Pool view room at the Yacht Club from 9/21 to 9/26. It will be my first time at the YC, the first time to Disney World for my 8-month old and my husband's 5th time at the YC - he stayed there all the time when he was younger.

I'd LOVE to get a room overlooking Crescent Lake so that we can see some of the Epcot fireworks. I know a request is just a request.

QUESTION: When I call CRO, what exactly should I tell the agent my requests are?

Thanks in advance!!

Just another note, regarding our 1st stay at the BC, this past August. I did not do online check-in. We got a great room 3610, which had a nice view and was nice and big, however, I never requested a full balcony (not that's it guaranteed), but I do wish I would of had a full balcony. My children kept going out on the tiny balcony and I think my family would of really spent some time on a full size balcony. Oh, well, next time I will request one.

Tell them that you want a view of Crescent Lake. That says it all :)

Personally, I don't think that Disney should include pool view with the lagoon view category.

We will be staying at Beach Club Villas in February - our first stay there and we're very excited! I have a question re: luggage for a split stay. I added on a night at the beginning of our stay. We will be staying at All Star Movies on 2/19/17 and transferring to BCV on 2/20/16. I believe I can leave luggage with bell services at All Star Movies on the morning of 2/20/17 to have luggage transferred to BCV - my question is this: when we go to BCV at 4:00 to check in, will our bags be at bell services at Beach Club by then? We'd like to use the pool as soon as we check in.

Adding another night to our stay, will now arrive late, like after midnight. Right now we are at CR, but when I try to add the earlier night nothing available but a suite with the passholder rate. Booked the now arrival night at POP at rack rate, with four adults (kids are all in college now) the rate with tax is $168. YC garden view is available for all three nights with passholder rate, would actually come out around $75 cheaper than two nights at CR one night at Pop. My concern is how are the YC rooms holding up? It's been ages since we've stayed there (think huge console TVs on the dresser!)

:welcome: back here!

I believe the consensus is the rooms are ready for an update, but they are not in shambles. I have a section in Post 16 of reviews from recent guests addressing the condition of YC rooms, so you could check those out.

It takes a while to transfer over to the second resort, and then maybe an hour to have them sent to your room after check-in (if they are there already). And you have to be in the room for the bags to be delivered. If swimming immediately is important I'd wear suits under your clothes and bring underwear/extra clothes/toiletries in a backpack with you.

We did a split stay last month. When we left poly we took our bathing suits and put them in bag before we left for Epcot. We got back to bcv around 2 and called for our bags. They were sent up right away. But always better to keep your bathing suits with you because sometimes it can take a little while.

thanks for the welcome back! Emailed my TA as she owns my current CR reservation and she's on the west coast so it'll take a while to hear back. Encouraged reading trip advisor reports, have wanted to be back at YC fora while it's just rates haven't been favorable. I'll be bringing my college girls and the best friend so two of them are now 21 and I'm sure that F&W has a strong lure for them ;)

Thanks so much for your replies. I'll plan to pack a backpack with our swimsuits and take it to the park with us in the morning.

We're in the same boat. My in-laws don't check in until two days after us and my DMIL (I won't say what the D stands for) is insistent that she has to ride on FEA with the kids or else the whole vacation will just be ruined.

Well, it's official! I may end up incarcerated or institutionalized before we get to Disney. My aforementioned DMIL had her FastPass window open this morning and since she couldn't add herself to our FEA reservation, she cancelled the one we had made, and made another at the same time we have dinner booked in a totally different park. To top it all off, since she couldn't change our 4yo DS FastPass, we then had a Fast Pass for him alone and another for the rest of us hours later.

My wife is about to take away my car keys...

:crazy2::headache: OMG. I'd probably totally lose it... and these stories make me want to disconnect EVERYONE from MY MDE account.

So sorry to hear this.
