Cars land doesn't have any place in WDW. Let's keep it unique to California so that it then entices people to try the other parks around the world rather than just carbon copying everything?
Originally the restaurant was called Stargate, when it was a part of Communicore. When Communicore changed to Innoventions, they changed the name/theme of the restaurant. Nearby was a huge shop called Centorium, full of "futuristic" gadgets and toys... there was supposedly an electric umbrella available for sale there at the time. Plus, the decor features umbrella-like lights.I would love to see Electric Umbrella get a retheme. I’ve never understood the concept for that restaurant. What’s an umbrella have to do with Electricity? I can understand a kite with a key, but not an umbrella. Whoever came up with this idea must have been fired.
It’s so boring looking inside too, nothing catches your eye in the place. The whole restaurant is made up of 3 colors that don’t go together. Plus its got the most basic food, burgers and nuggets. The only thing I like about the place is the free refill machine.
Hello everybody, recently I heard some fun rumors about Epcot. It came from a person, whose since partially retired from the company. For now it is just being talked about behind closed doors, but it sounds great.
for Future World
1.) The front of the park is going to be separated into two lands
2.) Cars Land will encompass the left side of Future world
- with 3 attractions including a retheming of Test Track and retheming of Electric Umbrella
3.) He wasn’t sure about the name for the other side, but it will consist of Land, Sea and Air
(possible attractions for the Air pavilion are Up, Gigantic and even Planes)
and last, but not least
for World Showcase
4.) Ratatouille in France
and
5.) Alice in the U.K.
Epcot is in dire need of revitilzation . It's got a ton of room to do things in too. I think HS has alot less room to work with. They definitely need to do something though.
I personally can't see 70% of that happening at this moment in time. Ratatouille in France, yes. Ride (maybe Alice) in UK, probably. The rest, i'm doubtful.
That being said though, i've heard talk recently that GotG may not now be coming to Universe of Energy, but instead replace Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in DHS at some point in the future. (please note: this is no way starting a rumor, I have heard this from one source, and cannot confirm any credibility). There was also talk a while back I believe of a Cars overlay for Test Track, but that seems unlikely considering the attraction only got its 'Tron'-style revamp a few years back.
Cars wouldn't fit the current theme of Epcot, and would definitely fit DHS theme better. But then, you never know.

I think it's pretty safe to say that anything new that gets added (pretty much anywhere) will have some sort of IP tied to it. So with that being said, you have one of the most relevant IPs (Inside Out) not doing anything. They could fit into so many different places within Future World.
I doubt the longterm theme park appeal of inside out...
I mean...it is pretty good for both imagination and the INEXPLICABLY mothballed wonder of life...but nobody stopped buying tickets when they ruined those...
Now...I think the incredibles makes a better IP...good story/characters and that slick kinda animation that holds up (like despicable me)...I can see that.
To me, seeing Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust explain the science behind one's body makes more sense than The Incredibles. Don't get me wrong, what I'd do to see a more thrill-esque presence of The Incredibles.
Also, The Incredibles brought home $633 million and Inside Out brought home $857 million.
I was talking about Inside Out mainly going into Imagination or Wonders of Life.
Incredibles would be good in Motion or Energy.
Carsland is really great...I enjoyed it.
But it's centerpiece is basiclaly testrack 2.0...why on earth would they spend a billion or so on putting that there?
To service the Walmart toy genre?
This of all flyer rumors makes the least amount of sense...
