414 days...but who is counting?
Hi All,
My husband and I, along with my two sisters, have hopped onto this cruise from the May 2018 EBTA.
I really appreciate all the information that is already available here, and looking forward to getting to know you all.
I prefer B&Bs when visiting London We are also planning on a few days before and I found a lovely one near King's Cross. There are many hotels and such in the area around the Ritz Carlton and Harrod's, just depends on your budget. I'm sure your travel agent can help you find one within your budget and taste ^_^I was wondering....I am planning a few days in London before the cruise. I will probably stay at a Disney-approved hotel the last night so
I can get the transportation to Dover, but I would like to stay at a more "English" type hotel near the center of the city. Does anyone have any
suggestions??? I am a solo senior (Yikes I hate that term) gal looking for some time at Buckingham palace and SHOPPING!!! Thanks

Taxi?AIRPORT
I can fly first class all the way if I fly home from Newark for about 1/3 the points of basic cabin when I use a New York airport, how do you get to Newark ?
We're planning too. We are hoping to do New York, Boston, and New England in the fall. And I have started my FE gifts.
We're a quiet bunch here for now, I imagine this will change when 2018 rolls around
I don't know about you, but I am already planning my itinerary!
Is that a regular taxi run ? Do you think it is under $ 100 U.S.
I believe they're asking about the cost of port to Newark not JFK to Newark. I believe Newark may be a little closer to port or about the same distance.OK I have never done it (because even being born in NY I would not want to go through that hassle) but you should Check TRIPADVISOR and other sights. There is no easy way to get between airports. The taxi MAY be less than $100.00 if you are lucky but the traffic is very bad, there are tolls to consider, and the 2 airports are not that close in reality. NY taxi drivers are not exactly a helpful bunch( some drivers have sketchy English skills.) It also depends on how much time you have between flights too. Uber will be from 125.00 up depending on traffic and it could take 1-2 hours at best but if you are traveling during the week at rush hour it could be a lot longer.

yes, port to Newark Airport, flight is from Newark back home and very very cheap (points). we don't do uber or lyft, have a thing about non licensed services, like knowing the drivers and vehicle passed city requirements. don't mean to start a fire storm of people telling me how much better, this is a personal thing to us.
