The What's for Dinner Thread - August 2014 (recipe index in OP)

Hi everyone. We just had breakfast for dinner tonight and I have no idea what we are going to eat tomorrow. We have no family here so we always have a little celebration just the 3 of us. This year we are having ham and I am trying a pineapple casserole. I have to figure out what else we are going to have.

We're going to have Chicken Parmesan and Risotto with sauteed spinach for dinner tonight.

Happy New Year everyone.

I am going to try and be better about checking in here. my work life has been crazy, and I have been reading a lot, I think I just surpassed 20 books so far this year.

After work it has been my escape for me, to have something else to think about and to try and de-stress.

I passed my 1-year mark on this past Monday from surgery and can start working out, so I am hoping that it will help with the stress issues also.

David and I are doing well, for those of you that are not on my facebook.

I look forward to catching up with everyone.

WFDT - Sesame noodles with broccoli, sugar snap peas, green onions, and carrots. David really likes these and to me, they are better the next day good and cold.

I don't tend to check in here unless anyone else is hanging around. I know i said we were having Chicken Parm and Risotto on Saturday, but we ended up having sandwiches with bacon that night.

We polished off the spinach last night with bacon wrapped flank steak.

So tonight will be the Chicken Parm, risotto, and steamed cabbage.

Dinner for tonight sounds great Alison.

We have leftovers from last night but tonight is grilled asparagus, veal (for David), roasted potatoes, and cucumbers.

Hope all the diners are well.

Dinner has been really scrappy affairs here. I've seem to have lost the cooking mojo. Hopefully it comes back at some stage.

It's been a hot summer so far. I've been enjoying the heat (a little) but it's getting to that time of year where I'm looking forward to winter and cooler weather. Of course, we don't get the snow like the East Coast of the US seems to have gotten this year so winter isn't too bad here.
Being hot, I sure don't feel like being in a hot kitchen either!

WFDT? Grilled lamb chops with grilled zucchini and new potatoes...

WFDT?

I have no idea but it's going to be 40 C here and humid enough for a Turkish bath. Sous Vide anyone?

dinner to here is grilled fish for David with sides, of roasted asparagus, baked potato, bells, and cucumbers

My allergies have been in overdrive with all the pressure changes in these darn storms, that does not make for a pleasant experience.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Last night i thawed one of my packets of meat sauce that i served with spaghetti, texas toast and a salad.

Tonight we'll be having pork chops with stuffing, gravy, and zucchini.

Sorry your allergies have been acting up Brandi!

ETA: I changed my mind and now we're having burgers, tater tots, and cole slaw. We'll have the pork chops tomorrow.
