Is it possible to do both? I see Fantasmic starts at 9 and the Star Wars starts at 9:30.

Not with that timing.

Fantasmic does not end until 9:30.
It can take up to 10 minutes just to exit the F! theater.

Ok, what about if there is a 45 minute gap? On my day at DHS, Fantasmic starts at 8:30 and fireworks at 9:15.

It's cutting it close. You can make it but you might not get an ideal view.

I'd recommend sitting near the top of Fantasmic to beat the crowd out

Can you clarify what you mean by sitting near the top? Is there an exit at the back that I can zip out of to beat the crowds out?

We were considering this as well but they just added the Disney Movie Magic show to our HS days, which is at 9:10. So i guess we will have to see one on one day and another on the other. We were hoping to see Fantasmic twice but when they intentionally overlap the shows so you cant possibly see both well, there doesn't seem to be another option....

What is disney movie magic and when are you going

Yes-begin walking to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre exit when Steamboat Willie comes out with all the Characters.

Walk down Sunset Boulevard and when you get close to Hollywood Boulevard, there will be a CM with a sign pointing Fantasmic! Guests to the walkway to the Hollywood Brown Derby and on past there to a viewing area.

Or you can just go down toward the start of Hollywood Boulevard and watch from there-it is really a pretty good experience even from there.:)

I will add it IS possible with a 45 minute window - but you will NOT see them well.

They are 2 separate shows and each 'really' needs their own night. If you do F!, you will be rushing over to be in front of the Chinese Theater and will most likely end up somewhere on Hollywood Blvd with a limited (at best) view of the projections on the Theater. And, as a Star Wars fanatic, the projections are Awesome & really make it worth it.

I recommend choosing one and not trying to overdo it.

This is perfect. THANK YOU! We will do exactly this and hope for the best.

To exit Fantasmic! when the Steamboat shows up means leaving the show just as the most spectacular part of Fantasmic! is just beginning.

What's the point of investing the time and effort of going to a show (especially this one)
and then leaving before the finale?

I have a similar problem. Too many shows and not enough nights! We are doing BOG one night and Hoop De Doo another so that knocks out 2 nights potentially.

I hate it when I'm compelled to agree with Robo. The boat with all the characters is by far the single best part of the show. It shouldn't be missed.

You're welcome.:)

While exiting when Steamboat Willie comes out,we always pause when we get to the "top" walkway and watch the Steamboat and the end of F! from there and then AS SOON as F! ends,we hightail it the rest of the way to the exit and are way ahead of the vast majority of the crowd.:)

With 20 minutes to work with, you will have plenty of time to reach Hollywood Boulevard.

Ideally,of course,it is optimal to see each show "separately" without "rushing" from one to another, but when that is not possible,it really is awesome to see both shows "back to back"!:)

Have fun!

I agree-there really isn't another option besides using 2 days to see one each day optimally or "squeezing" in both in the same day.:)

Although seeing both in the same day does "limit" the experience somewhat,it can still be FUN-we even did a "tripleheader" several times a few years ago seeing F!,IllumiNations and Wishes "back to back to back"-AWESOME fun!!!!:)

I can't imagine leaving F! before the very, very end it's probably my favorite ending to any show EVER!

For that reason alone we have to plan 2 nights at HS.
