idiot mistake... lost out on the $300 chase business bonus. i thought my bank transfers were considered ACH. :\
i had some pretty good luck with sign up bonuses at the beginning of this game, i guess i have to get unlucky soon.

Awww...sorry this didn't work out for you!

I did that same thing with a bonus last year and it stung. The DPs showed the transfers worked for others but they did not work for me. Sorry!!

heh, same with me! a friend told me his 2 trial deposits counted! and his 3 other transfers worked for him too.

:worship:I bow to you. I just can't with the multiple log ins. That's where I'm either lazy or scared. I'm just too afraid I'll miss a payment or weird charge. It's worth it to me to give up some Amex offers money in exchange for peace of mind. But I don't go hard like most of the bloggers do, either.

You don’t need multiple log ins to get all the Amex offers on all of your cards. I have one log in for all of my Amex cards which will range from 5 to 8 cards at any given moment. Here is what I do:

Log in to my account and select one card. Click Amex offers. Click the load more or see more offers so that all the offers show up for that one card. Do not select any actual offers yet.

Next: Highlight the url for that card and copy it.

Next: Open a new tab for your next card. Paste the url in that tab. Repeat until you have open tabs that match your number of cards which are all displaying the same first card.

Next: Go to your second tab and select your second card. Click Amex offers and then click load all/more. Repeat on tab 3 and select card 3 etc.

Once you have a tab open with all amex offers loaded for each card individual card you can select your offers and they will load for each card.

This works best for me on Google Chrome using a desktop or laptop. My iPad has a tendency to revert back to the first card on subsequent tabs if I’m not fast enough.

Nice explanation!

But will add that if you have a SW Companion Pass, the transfer of 120K miles gets double the value - $1935 x 2 = $3870. KA-CHING! Of course, that's only if you're going to spend it all while you have a CP (as she dreams of Hawaii...).
Ahhhh yes, That's the age old r/churning and blog debate... Does the CP double the value of your SW RR points or not... Most experts say it DOES NOT double the value, because the CP is its own benefit and you get to fly a companion free whether you pay with points or cash or whatever. In my opinion, There isn't a right or wrong answer, I'm somewhere in the middle of the argument as I don't view it as doubling the value, but rather look at it as saving points I otherwise would've used. Haha!

That is definitely a great value! I'm going to share this one with my daughter.

This is totally off topic, and I apologize for a downer subject, but this is one of the few threads I post on and this is just weighing on my mind. My DD went to a funeral the other day of her friends dad. He was 46 and died of a massive heart attack. His obit mentioned they loved to go to Disney World as a family (not that this makes it sadder, but to tie it in somewhat with the boards). As if this alone is not sad enough, the mom died in December of Colon Cancer at 45! I am just heartbroken for the kids (one in HS one in college). I do not know them at all, this is a college friend so not from the same town. I can't even imagine. You never know what life has in store for you, so just hug everyone you know and tell them you love them and live life with no regrets! Carry on.

:grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug::grouphug:
so tragic. i cant imagine losing 2 parents so closely.

Isn't the CIC in bank sign up offer 50k? Could definitely be worth it if 'selling on the side' qualifies!

Yes that's what I last heard 50k. But that's what I'm concerned about is how much info in a branch would be needed..

That is another way to look at it.
My daughter will be going for the companion pass soon. She has a one and two year old and a father with cancer in Colorado, so has been making periodic flights there to see him and bring the grandbabies. She already needs to buy a seat for the 2 year old.

She's flying out next Wednesday to spend part of her spring break (works for a college) with him. She did 2-3 trips there last year. Cancer keeps recurring in different areas and you never know when it won't be able to be treated.

So, two points tickets plus companion pass would work best for her and save a bit of money.

That is awful :(

I cannot figure out how to post photos anymore since photobucket no longer works. I tried to post one a couple weeks ago that I thought people here would appreciate but never could get it to work so I gave up. I'll just put the link to the pic here and hopefully, this works!

Here is my other dd. Her dress was one of the vintage dresses off Amazon too:

@Alice Sr. If that doesn't work, I'll try through pm. I think I have figured that out before :)
Aww, so pretty!

Plastiq has a fee. Bank funding doesn’t. :rolleyes1 It’s really whatever you are comfortable with. If you need help I can try to help.
Last credit card my husband and I opened was Southwest and we got free companion earned and by the end of this year will do 4 trips to Disney for free. But interested in knowing what are other credit cards and perks. I want to go to Hawaii and Europe in 2-3 years and would love free flights there if possible.

great flow chart courtesy of the reddit churning thread for when a new person interesting in this game to read through. i added it to the wiki for quick reference if we have someone new show up.

edit: reddit also reports that Q2 for Freedom card will also offer Chase Pay/Paypal categories. that would be pretty interesting to see esp for paypal.

Oh, thank you! I'll share a little story from last night that just made me my mama heart happy. My oldest dd (one in red & white dress) is chronically ill so she doesn't feel good a lot but after several bad days (new meds), yesterday, she felt pretty good. Even feeling good, she always has joint pain though. A boy that she has known since she was in 3rd grade asked her to dance. She was like, "Jordan, you know I don't dance." He said, "Well, maybe for the right song". He went over to the dj and they started playing "Tale as Old as Time" and came back and took my dd's hand and danced with her. Her first slow dance with a boy and it was to a song from her favorite movie

Beautiful!!! Here I am crying like a baby.
