***Official Candlelight Processional Dining Package Watch - 2018***

It does? It includes an app? I don't think I realized that. Fantasmic doesn't anymore; at least that's what I read. ?
I just checked last year's info--in 2017 it was still either app/entree/dessert or a full buffet. Who knows about this year, but for the cost, they 'should' include it. We last went in 2015--and chose Via Napoli so that there were enough choices of appetizer/dessert for our group--especially my kids who pay adult prices!

Geomom, Yeah I guess it's all just speculation at this point since the packages haven't been released yet lol. I hope you're right. It would be a much better value. I just wondered because didn't they add alcohol to the DDP this year? But the regular plan hasn't had apps in years so if the CP did last year maybe it still will. Fingers crossed.

I called a while back and asked about apps and Fantasmic. The CM explained to me that if you were on the deluxe dining plan, an appetizer was included. If you were on any other plan or cash, the appetizer was not included. Whether that is true, who knows. I could call back 5 times and get 5 variations of an answer.

What are the dates for the candlelight processional? Am I getting this right? If you buy a Table service you get seats at the candlelight processional? Which park is this in? Is there a link that gives specifics?

Thank you so much I will keep watching for dates for 2018. Just a quick trip and this would be awesome to see. I thought I read it was in EPCOT but then I thought I saw a post the other day saying in was in the square at MK so I wanted to verify. Maybe they have something else at MK. Which EPCOT resort would be a good choice? Do you know what time this usually is? Only one performance a night? Do you have to be on the DDP to make a dining reservation?

If you go to the first few posts of this thread, it has all of the information and links you would be looking for :)

Hi everyone! We have never done the CP package because we usually go in early November and we didn't think our youngest would sit through it.:teeth: I keep trying to check the link that is posted above for the CP information and it keeps bringing me to a site called vlinks shopping? Anyone else having this problem? I really want to know what time the earliest show starts and an idea of how long it is.

You're right - I have no idea why the link is going there! It has been working correctly for months. Maybe something going weird with the Disney Site?

But to give you an idea, the first show is usually at 5:00 and is about 40-45 minutes in length.

There is nothing like this at MK, so not sure what that post was talking about.

Are you wanting to STAY at an EP resort or are you asking which restaurant for the CP package?

There are three shows every night: 5:00, 6:30, and 8:00 (I think).

No, you don't have to be on the DDP to make any dining reservation. Anyone can make a dining reservation 180 days out from the date. CP packages are NOT out yet, so even though we're 180 days out, you can't make one until they announce them.

Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and the Swan and Dolphin are all very close to Epcot. You would be able to enter and exit Epcot from the International Gateway - which is ever so much nicer an experience than the main gate. All of these resorts are close enough that you can walk to and from Epcot (and Hollywood Studios, though that walk is longer).

Three times - in the past, these times have been 5pm, 6:45, 8:15

No, you do not have to be on the DDP in order to make a dining reservation.

We always do dinner at Chefs for the 8:15 pm show. We never do the DP always pay OOP.

We have done the Fantasmic package recently and it did not include appetizers. If the CP package does not then they should lower the price. Which they did do for Fantasmic.

You were on the deluxe dining plan, deakam? If so that is too bad. It's a ton of money to put up for meals.

The CP package in the past has included an app, entree, dessert, and
non alcoholic drink.

I know the dining package does not open for at least one more month but do we know which restaurants? I would like to look at the menus and figure out where I actually want to eat.

Post #3 on this thread details the restaurants and prices from last year, which should give you a pretty good idea of what they will offer this year :)
