Hey all, we are doing our first long haul camping trip with our travel trailer to Fort Wilderness in June. We are coming from Maryland. All other camping trips we have ever done have been within three hours from home.
I want to follow the advice of trying to check in early and in person when we arrive. So, I would like to be as close to the Fort as possible the night before. I’ve always heard of people parking at a Walmart parking lot and staying the night there. There is a Walmart Supercenter right off of Route 4, just 12 miles from the Fort. Has anyone ever stayed in a Walmart parking lot? Have you stayed at one of the ones close to WDW? Would you suggest that or not, would you do it again?
