I'm not thrilled about the increase with the CSR. My annual fee will be charged in February so I'll keep the card another year and see how we do with the new benefits. I think we'll be able to use the door dash credits while we are on vacation. We can also use Lyft on vacation but we don't spend enough to maximize that benefit.

I know I want to have DH do the new SW personal offer. I'm just trying to decide if he should try a MDD (I know he wont call in if needed) or if we should do the personal offer now and a business card in a few months. I need the points for travel this summer.

I also did not watch The Muppets growing up (except for hiding in fear at Muppet Treasure Island at sleepovers with my Muppets-obsessed bestie). My mom did let me watch ONE season of Beetle Borgs but then decided it was too violent for a seven year old. I was a PBS kid all the way - Arthur, Sesame Street, ZOOM, that one cartoon about tween kids during the Revolutionary War...do I need to head over to the shun pit too?

EDIT: OH, there was CC news I had too. DH got his new Hilton card today. I really wish we had the spend coming up to manage this plus a MDD for him before the CSR AF goes up...I think we could find a way to use the extra credits on mine but don't want to necessarily commit to two of the higher AFs.

It was pretty easy, just wait until someone uses the last paper towel, 10:1 odds is they will leave the tube behind right where they found it not knowing the value of it. Timing then is key, just need to make sure you swing by right after so someone else does not get there first. Then after you have scored big time reach up and grab the next roll and replace the swiped one, the next person will be none the wiser.

I am so happy that we gave our employees bonuses this year - otherwise we might not have any paper towel rolls. . Your comment was so funny! Loved it

Did you know there were such things as non-refundable reward hotel reservations? I found this one out tonight. Twice I've had to open up cases with Hilton to get points back on refundable reservations and now this. I had no idea points reservations could be non-refundable. I like the value I get with my Hilton Aspire, but I'm starting to really hate Hilton. Is it as bad as Marriott? I don't know, but I'm starting to appreciate Hyatt more and more every day. I'm having second thought about keeping my Aspire card after tonight.

I give you guys credit for dealing with all the ups, downs and headaches involved with points. I'm about done.

I was helping a friend with SW cards. Not a total expert but I know enough about CP and RR that I was able to walk her through it. Then she said her and her husband want to go to Indonesia. Way outside my expertise but based on what I read here and looking at United, it does look like they could fly there from the west coast on ANA. From my reading on here she would need to book round trip to use award travel on ANA. So now for the really, really stupid question. Does the round trip have to arrive and leave from the same airport in Indonesia? Example LAX - CGK (Jakata); CGK- LAX is definitely round trip. Is LAX - CGK; DPS (Bali)- LAX round trip as well? I think that depends on which miles they are using. If they are using VS miles then they will have to book RT but it doesn't have to be the same airports. I can book JFK-NRT-HND-ORD. That would count as a RT. If they book using UA miles they should be able to book one ways but it winds up costing more miles than booking with VS.
