Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Sorry for those that have to cancel trips and are impacted by the virus. I'm actually starting to get worried about my August trip but feel like that's the least of my concerns right now. I'm in NYC and just started working remotely today. I work for the schools and I desperately want to be back at work. I miss my kids. Things are intense here to say the least. I'm so stressed Disney isn't even making me smile 😕

Well, bad news here. My special stay at the cottage was due to being April 1. Trip being cancelled in the morning :(
Did you have one of the "special" cheap rates that were available for about 30 minutes? We did....$400.00 per night....April 16-22...we cancelled it...easy come/easy go. Rescheduled for May 6-13 and am not feeling the love that it's gonna happen.

Thanks for all the pics of Poly TPV! With heavy hearts we officially canceled our May trip yesterday and don't know when we will reschedule as yet. But to give ourselves something to look forward to for whenever we do, we decided to definitely do TPV.

Thing is, all this talk of GF RPC is making me wonder...originally when we booked the May trip we wanted to try a GF/Poly split, but the availability didn't work out for our dates so we just booked full Poly. Now, I'm wondering about revisiting that idea, but as a CL split! A girl can dream right? :)

I think a Poly CL/GF RPC split is a great idea! It's been some years since my RPC stay, but I remember it being wonderful! Poly CL is also wonderful in its own way, so doing a split between them is the best of both worlds! Hope everything works out the way you want it when you rebook :wizard:.

I'm sorry you had to cancel. Hope you are able to reschedule once things get back to normal :flower3:.

We lost our cottage room special rate too when we had to reschedule our March 27-April 4 trip. No big deal. While I would have loved to have experienced the cottage room, that rate was not supposed to happen. We were able to get passholder discount on standard club level room for May 29-June 6. We have to pay a little more, but I am fine with it. Our room will be closer to the lounge, we wont have to walk in rain to room, and will be easier to go back to room if needed.

Never say never. They can’t keep everything closed forever. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Stay positive! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

You have a great outlook! I hope everything with this virus ends soon and your trip happens without any further rescheduling :wizard:.

I totally agree with you. That deal was too good to be true anyway:). Things happen for a reason. As mentioned, we did move to May 6-13..and the only room available was the cottage suite so we're booked for that anyway...but at twice the "special" rate. We had already booked a BWI deluxe room in December so if the May trip doesn't happen, we'll still get our yearly Disney fix. I'm not totally convinced that travel in May will be a good idea anyway, even if they do open in May. A crush of bodies on a plane as well as in the parks just doesn't sit well with me right now.

Discovered much to my chagrin that DSS closed their phone lines until 3/31 and are only operating via email for the moment. Has anyone had success contacting them to get FP refunds? With all the insanity that blew up in the last couple of weeks here, I completely forgot to cancel them before I cancelled our Poly reservation. And even though our resort reservation is no longer showing in MDE we still see all our FPs.

I did email for a room request for a future cl stay. They did return my email just like previously.

Go ahead and email, it should work.

Thanks, I went ahead and emailed them and got this auto reply response:

I hope this is the best place to post my questions. So happy I found this thread and plan to read through as much as I can! We originally had a trip booked for April to stay at the Grand Floridian - outer building garden view. I moved this trip to August and with the extension of discounts was able to upgrade to Outer Building Club Level :yay::yay:

I have never stayed Club Level in my life and am so excited for this indulgence - optimistic we get through this coronavirus by then. I am completely unfamiliar with Signature Service. I have a few questions:

Have you used them for dining reservations before? Have you found them helpful? Do you scale back on dining reservations because of the Club Level offerings?

Now fast passes - do you have DSS make them for you or do you still book your own? Do you contact them only if you cannot manage to secure what you hoped for? Do many of you purchase the extra 3 per person?

Those are the questions I have so far. I welcome any other tips! Looking to make this vacation extra magical - we are all a bit sad that we had to cancel our original plans but totally are onboard with why. Thanks in advance!
We have only done CL once, and I didn't have them do our advance dining reservations (our TA did that for us!) or the fast passes. I didn't even think about using the signature service until about 3 weeks before our trip, well past the first available days we had to set those up. However, we needed to make a change to our reservations once we were on property, and it was so nice to sit at the desk with a nice beverage while the concierge made it happen. DS and DH had snacks in the lounge at the same time, so I got to relax!

The parts of CL service I loved was 1- not having to stand in line in the lobby to check in; 2- the welcome cocktail! 3- having a place to hang out outside our bedroom; 4- the daily itineraries that the concierge printed out for us and left in our room, and 5- the welcome dessert of a monorail made out of white chocolate (it was at the Contemporary). Those daily itineraries weren't necessary for me, but they helped DH focus on what we had to be on time for! The concierge is also who took care of our payment, and once again, it was nice to handle this seated like a VIP, instead of standing at a counter in the lobby.
Others have mentioned the food, and we did use the lounge for breakfasts most mornings, but we chose not to revolve our schedule around the lounge meals. We did take advantage of the free drinks,

Well, although we probably won’t do it until early June, we will likely cancel our July 5-10 stay at Poly CL out of an abundance of caution. Even if Disney does reopen by then I would be too concerned about the virus, which wouldn’t make for a nice vacation (& too much $ to not enjoy it). I think we may put our trip off until 2021, since summer time is best for us to go.

Since I have lots of time to ponder; how will Disney handle club level once they reopen? Will individuals still serve themselves the food offerings and drinks? I am curious...
I think we won’t know until they reopen — CMs will know shortly before. My best guess is that it will still be self serve. We were at AKL 3-10 thru 3-15 and, even though the virus was much in the news and right before the theme parks closed, it remained self serve for food. There was a lot more cleaning of the buffet area and individual tables. The staff really did their best under the circumstances.

This is only my opinion and not worth much. Stay safe!

This morning, my husband went grocery shopping. For the first time, there were clear barriers up for the cashiers, and no baggers. I always hated people touching my bags anyway, and I would wipe them down after I got home. Anyway, he was very happy to see the barriers up which protect both the employees and the customers.

Every day it seems like something new is being done to add extra protections. I wouldn't be surprised if the way Club Level services is handled does change. I would imagine servers wearing gloves at minimum.

I’m going to make a back up reservation for August in case our 4th of Julytrip falls through.

Right now we have 2 nights booked at GF SL before moving to our FD package at YC. Since neither FD or YC would be available for our new August dates, the plan is to book GF SL for the whole trip

I know this is probably answered somewhere but I just can’t find it! If we do the extra FD through CL, would we be able to book the same ride twice- once with CL FPand once with regular FP?

Thanks!
