DS and I built these, easier than yours.I know you're all dying to see the progress! This is levels 21-30. I'll be taking a break while I go back to work tonight.
Being up (at home) in the middle of the night is my only "alone time" and this is what I've been doing with it.
It's funny... I don't have that much "alone time" usually anyway (maybe a few minutes before bed and a few minutes after I get up) but now that my husband is WFH and my stepson is here indefinitely (his mom is in a higher risk group so he isn't going to her house right now), I am really treasuring this time in the middle of the night.
Well, I don’t use it every day but DS and DH don’t like potatoes so figure any time you eat potatoes, we eat rice. Lol. Side dish, with stir fry, in soup...What do ya'll do with so much rice and eating it everyday? You just eat it plain?

Wonder if you could make overnight rice instead of overnight oats.I eat leftover rice as a dessert or breakfast cereal. Heat in the microwave. Pour milk over and sprinkle with a little sugar and cinnamon. Done!
They are LEGO knockoffs for Chinese New Year. I love the real Legos but they were over $150 for a set and I just can’t.Those look fun! What kind of building set are they?

We bought a nanoblock Blastoise (Pokémon) that was about 2 inches tall and I thought even that was hard lolI don't plan to ever buy Legos again... they're super pricey and my kids just don't play with them any more.
This Nanoblock set was, IIRC, roughly the equivalent of about $100. I got it at Yodobashi in Kyoto and I can't wait to finish it and send the pictures to my family (it was a very large shopping expedition!)
I am not sure I'd do Nanoblock again because it is a LOT of work... but it's soothing too so we shall see. We picked Himeji Castle because it was some place we had all gone together. If we ever make it back to Japan, we will definitely look and see what else is out there!

For DH it’s like the rice is the meal & everything else just goes with it He even eats noodles with rice. I don’t eat as much as he does but yeah, basically every day there is rice for dinner, there is rice for lunch & sometimes there is rice for breakfast. Basically whenever other people would have bread or potatoes, we have rice.Lol, my husband is Hispanic and eats rice with everything. Literally everything. We can order dominos and he’ll eat a piece of pizza with rice! So yes, between our household of only 2, we run through about 25 lbs of rice a month! Rice with chicken, rice with eggs, fried rice, rice with spaghetti, rice with tuna, rice with steak, rice with shrimp scampi, rice with kielbasa, rice with turkey, rice on rice on rice He eats it as the side to everything. And I mean it! I can’t eat that much rice but I do have it once or twice a week. Any more than that and I’d need to work out several more hours per day than I do now lol.
ETA: we have a 12 cup rice cooker. We cook about 3-4 cups a day, every day.
When my ramen (just the cheap packaged ramen) is all gone... I add rice to the leftover broth)For DH it’s like the rice is the meal & everything else just goes with it He even eats noodles with rice. Though, I finally have time to learn to make good bread (the kind you can buy at our grocery stores is terrible) so I’m eating more of that lately.
you don’t get that random urge for some FABRIC!!!I complained yesterday about how packed Menards and Home Depot's parking lot's were yesterday, since we are on 2 weeks of stay at home order. Dd's friend works at Joann Fabrics and she just quit, because apparently they are staying open. I'm sorry, but what absolutely essential items do you need there?? I can't think of any reason that store should be open right now. MN isn't a total hot spot yet, but our deaths doubled from 4-8 overnight, and cases increased 15% overnight.
I feel like it should still work for a gift card. I don’t know why it wouldn’tHi everyone, popping in with a cc question!
My AF on my Citi AA Biz card is coming up in May. I have never used the $200 credit and am very unlikely to do so, especially now. Does it still work to buy a gift card on the AA site? If so, it is an automatic credit like CSR or do I need to go in and do it manually like my Arrival+?
Thanks!
Activating cards is so overrated!!! Go rogue from now on lol.OMG!!! You are right!! I never heard of such a thing! We just used the new card to pay a bill over the phone and it worked! This was turning into such a hassle. Thanks so much!!
YES. I can just relate to this post in so many ways, lol. Same with bread and potatoes, it’s rice instead here. DH thought McD’s in Hawaii were the greatest thing ever cuz he could order spam eggs and rice for breakfast, haha. I think my husbands love for Asian culture is founded in the mutual love for rice But believe it or not, we both hate sushi. For DH it’s like the rice is the meal & everything else just goes with it He even eats noodles with rice. I was very good and lost over 10 pounds until this enforced constant access to a stuffed refrigerator and a hungry family I need to feed 3 meals per day plus snacks. I have gained at least 5 pound in 2 weeks.
We have tons of snacks around too and it seems like that’s all Dh wants to put in our ordersThanks for the shopping advice. I really miss fresh fruits and veggies, and we are avoiding stores at this point, so I signed up for a local farm delivery box. It starts in a couple of weeks, and I hope it will help us to eat healthier during this time. All the pantry staples and snacks are not what we normally eat and are definitely not good for us.
I miss the days when my time was spent hunting down the best tour guide for a new city, searching for the best lie flat seats on long haul flights abroad, and figuring out how to use points to stay in fancy hotels. Now I spend hours trying to acquire food items that aren't 100% carbs.
Oh, I am right there with you. It's really bad. We have snacks everywhere and it's bad. DD and I made chocolate chip pancakes for brunch today and they were yummy, but not my normal breakfast food.
DVC stays must be eligible also cause I received the promo and we only had a DVC stay (for dh & I). My dd19 had a non-dvc stay booked and she received the promo as well. I'm considering Pop, ASMo or POFQ for us. It appears no resorts are excluded except the campsites.I saw Dreams Unlimited said DVC stays are also eligible, have to pay cash for the new reservation. I'm trying to make this work for us for a September trip. I'm look at CBR since I didn't care for POR and I almost think we'd not quite break even versus a stay at Shades of Green, the bonus being onsite instead of across the street and having ME and refillable mugs. The required tickets can be used later, right? Like later in 2021 or 2022? Since we have APs we don't really need them right now. Then again, I think SOG is roomier and space is always nice. I could just pack snacks and get popcorn making SOG cheaper than this offer.
So this is the time period I am interested in to get those positioning flights to and from LAX... assuming we get to go to Japan.Southwest adjusts next Release Date:
Southwest has moved its next release date back to Thursday May 28th, 2020.
Currently the schedule is open through 10/30. This release will go through Jan 4th, 2021 and of course covers Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday travel dates. I'd stay posted as this has now changed 3 times and I'd imagine will change again as the future becomes more clear.
