"Official" 2024 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Hoping to attend my first MVMCP this Nov! Will be there 2nd week of Nov and trying to decide if I would want to attend the first party of the season or second ... or does it even matter. From what I read the first party typically has more bloggers and vloggers which may be nice to see some of them in real life instead of just online.
If the first party is on Thursday and second party on Friday, which would you pick? I'm mainly interested in character meet and greets, parade, fireworks and entertainment. I'll be in MK other days during my trip so the rides aren't as important.

Also if there's not many options for dinner during the party where do you go? Was thinking a late lunch (1:45pm) Whispering Canyon Cafe to fill up and then taking the boat or bus to MK.

Waiting for the dates to be released so I can hopefully get to a party while in Disney for RunDisney wine and dine weekend and F & W trip. We are doing MNSSHP on Oct 31st and will be there until Nov 10, so it would be cool to start our trip with a Halloween party and then end it with MVMCP. We shall see!

Last year, I bought my MVMCP tickets on June 29. The dates announcement probably came in a few days to maybe a week before that? For this year, I'm eagerly waiting for the announcement. Fingers crossed that we'll be able to catch the first party with our November trip.
They have seemed to come out when we are “at” WDW for our summer trip over 4th of July week. Always have days we want available by the time I get back home & get settled to attack that trip.

Well, for myself, that has no desire to meet bloggers, I would pick the second party since the first will sell out super fast and bloggers doing their thing would most likely make the food lines super long since many want to document the party only treats. Probably LOTS more recording devices during the parade and fireworks too.
For you, if you really want to see the bloggers, I think the first party would be fine. Since all parties are selling out in recent years anyways, there won't be a crowd difference. Though, remember, there isn't a lot of time during the party and the bloggers will be very focused on obtaining their content, basically it's a work night for them and they may not have much time to visit with fans (as opposed to running into them on any other random/non-special day).

Edited to add about food: I usually eat at Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill, both are usually open the duration of the parties (or the majority of the time span of the party). Last year both had fun party only food that I wanted to try.
I think that's a good plan, to fill up in the afternoon before the party. I usually have a late breakfast and eat at the party with early entry at 4pm. I'm all about trying lots of different specialty holiday/party treats though, so I have to make sure I have enough room in my tummy to eat (since I go Solo) lol

We’re hoping to have a 12/22 party (2019 had a Sunday party on 12/22) as we are traveling 12/21. We have never been and it would be nice not to have to worry about flight delays or anything.

Thanks so much for your input. Will probably pick the second night for the week I'm there. Didn't really think about how it's a work night for them and how they could impact lines for party only treats and watching the shows. I only really want to meet/see Tom Bricker. I've been following his blog for years and enjoy how detailed he is and how he incorporates his photos and insights.

I'll probably be solo for the party too and will be able to try a lot more party treats since I'll only be buying for one instead of a family of four.

Almost halfway to Christmas - June 25. Last year Disney released info over three days - DL, DCL and WDW, earlier than the actual halfway date. Here's hoping that Disney will provide early teasers like they did last year on the Disney Parks Blog (June 8, 2023).

2023 - Disney will be celebrating halfway to the festive season from June 13th to June 15th.
