We rode Rise of the Resistance on Walt's Birthday on our first Mother/Daughter Trip! December 2019! Updated September 19th!

Soooo many stories being told!

::yes::

Not bad for FOP.

She's pretty impressive. ::yes::

I like the "lizards" silhouettes on the leaves. They even make thumping noises as the skitter about.

Sorry to hear that.

Yay!!!! :lmao:

Not bad!!

How can we forget? Have you seen the Corona virus edition?

I see her!

Well, of course. It is Disney, after all.
That Waldo is so funny, thank for sharing.

Locally on Nextdoor people have been doing puzzle swaps. Well someone mostly completed a puzzle of Boston to find that one piece of the puzzle was missing and another piece was included in the puzzle. The erroneously included piece was a Waldo torso from a Waldo puzzle. Hilarity ensued after the ID was made.

You're welcome. :)

I did get my Baobab Tree, however...

I'd be disappointed if you didn't!
We did stop for some PP, but they came out kind of goofy...
I think they are cute!

Hope you had luck getting tickets today! I was able to use our tickets from our cancelled trip and made park reservations for our August '21 trip. No issues at all and took about 15 minutes.

Awesome! I'm glad you got what you needed!

I did get my mom and niece their park tickets and went ahead and made park reservations for everyone in April. The only loose end now is to wait and make sure Allie's AP gets extended by one month and then transfer Nicholas' ticket back to him so I can make park reservations for him, just in case he comes.

Sounds like you live in a fun neighborhood!

I'd be disappointed if you didn't!

Of course! I'd hate to disappoint my fellow Baobab tree lovers!

I think they are cute!

Thanks, Lesley!

Before I get started on this next post,
I wanted to let you all know that my Allie has finally joined the DisBoards!

She is still learning the ropes and how to navigate,
but I expect she'll be jumping in here soon!

CHRISTMAS TREE TRAIL

We had considered going to EPCOT this night because Neil Patrick Harris was narrating the Candlelight Processional, but after talking it over with
Allie, we decided to skip it. She didn't even know who he was and I had seen the CP in 2015 but had never been to the Christmas Tree Trail. Plus, we didn't have a dining package and with such a short trip, we wanted to see as much as possible, not just go stand in a crazy long line.

By the time we got to DS we were pretty hungry and wanted something kind of quick,
so we ended up at Wolfgang Puck's Express.

Allie got…something blue to drink :confused3

and spaghetti and meatballs, with the meatballs separate, of course.
506950

506951

Allie doesn't eat meatballs,
so I tried them and they were okay, but I prefer my own.

I got a salad…sorry @kastoney !
506952

This was actually pretty good and was fast, which is what we wanted.

We were excited to get to the main reason we had for coming here,
the Christmas Tree Trail.
This was the first time either one of us had ever seen it and we were anxious to get going!

We both loved this!
And it's a perfect Christmas-sy thing to do!
I have too many pictures, so I'll just post some highlights...

MORE CHRISTMAS TREES

This was one of my favorite trees...
506964

506965
Not very Christmas-sy, but super cool!

506966

A classic 🥰
506967

I thought my mom would love this Peter Pan tree...
506969

Tangled...
506970

Mary Poppins, another of my mom's favorites...
506971

When we had done enough ogling at the trees, we did a little shopping,
but I don't recall if we purchased anything this night.
506974

Disney Springs itself just looked so festive
506972

It was almost 10 pm by the time we got to our bus stop,
which was literally the furthest away it could be.
Plus with the way the railings were,
we literally had to walk probably 1/2 mile from the curb
because they make you go up and around.
506975

We were beat by the time we got to All Star Movies,
and we still had to get our luggage and get settled.
Oh, AND we had to get up at 4 am for a little thing…
the Grand Opening of Rise of the Resistance!

Would we make it??
(If you are paying attention, the title of this TR gives that answer away ::yes:: )

That's coming up next!

I loved the Christmas Tree Trail too. I toured it in the morning after brunch at Homecomin' but I think it looks even prettier at night!
This was one of my favorite trees...
Loved the Haunted Mansion tree too. The detail was incredible!

No need for sleep at Disney, right???

Wait. Hold up. Allie didn't know who NEIL PATRICK HARRIS was??? Ok, I definitely must be getting old. But I'm just gonna leave this link to his ICONIC Tony performance as Hedwig.

Anyways, I'm glad you chose the Christmas Tree Trail over CP, I personally prefer it there even if it is now way more crowded than when I first experienced it. It's just so cute and fun. The Haunted Mansion tree was my fave too, it was just so so cool looking.

So excited to hear how your very VERY early Rise morning went. *waves from the past all the way back at Savi's workshop*

Andi and I loved the Christmas tree trail. I really enjoyed looking at all the festive Disney trees.
Andi is on here once in awhile!
She actually found the Dis boards and I took over her avatar and never looked back!
I love all the pictures you took. The HM tree is so cool

Cute username. :) Hi, @olafofwarmhugs !
She didn't even know who he was
How is that even possible! He was everywhere just a few years ago! It couldn't be that long ago!
we ended up at Wolfgang Puck's Express.
I've yet to try that. Some day...

I wasn't very interested. Then again, I didn't realize there were so many trees!
Now that's a tree!
It was almost 10 pm by the time we got to our bus stop,
which was literally the furthest away it could be.
Of course it was... And I know exactly where that bus stop is and yes.... it's the absolute farthest.
Plus with the way the railings were,
we literally had to walk probably 1/2 mile from the curb

::yes::
Oh, AND we had to get up at 4 am for a little thing…

Funny... get up at 4am for a ride? Sure! Get up at 4am for work??? Are you crazy????
Would we make it??
(If you are paying attention, the title of this TR gives that answer away ::yes:: )

Wait. Hold up. Allie didn't know who NEIL PATRICK HARRIS was???

Okay, I stand corrected. I asked her yesterday if she knew who he was and she knows him from a brief stint watching How I Met Your Mother. I don't think she realizes how wildly popular he is though.

And, omg, I just watched that clip and I guess even I didn't realize how fearless and talented he is! If only because he walks in those boots WAY better than I ever could!

Anyways, I'm glad you chose the Christmas Tree Trail over CP, I personally prefer it there

Wow, really? And I had some serious FOMO by missing the CP.
This is why in December 2021 I need a longer trip so I can see everything!

So excited to hear how your very VERY early Rise morning went. *waves from the past all the way back at Savi's workshop*

So funny that you were there working…just a regular day, nothing to see here :rotfl:

Truthfully, I felt bad for a lot of the CMs there that day because people were getting very angry and yelling at them. There was no need for that :sad2:
