They should absolutely sue. That is unfair discrimination.
Imagine being Universal in neighboring LA County. They are probably looking at next fall at the earliest, and more likely Spring 2022.They should absolutely sue. That is unfair discrimination.
Wow, this whole thing is a mess
Mess is a very nice word. Holy moly.Wow, this whole thing is a mess
That article sort of implies he HASN'T been working closely with them this whole time... doesn't it???
100% it does. This was not a bi-partisan project at all. That sort of implies he HASN'T been working closely with them this whole time... doesn't it???

Boom. Mic drop.
They kept asking for guidelines....
This really solidifies my belief that Disney was trying to use the press to push what they wanted and "collaborations/negotiations" were not going their way. If you re-read Disney's "begging for guidelines" press statement, it fits.
I received a refund from UCT for our 3 day parkhoppers w/maxpass. Full refund minus 5%. It took exactly 1 month from the day I requested the refund. They have a January 2021 expiration date and we bought them from Undercover Tourist. Does anyone know if the expiration date will be extended or can we get a refund?
This was my exact experience as well. August 25 to September 25.I received a refund from UCT for our 3 day parkhoppers w/maxpass. Full refund minus 5%. It took exactly 1 month from the day I requested the refund.
I don't live in California but I really feel Disney and the Governor do not like each other. What a cluster.
Sheesh. Why is this so hard?

Maybe the governor really hates rollercoasters? Or deep fried snacks? It's never been just Disney, though. Legoland was actually the first to hold a press conference begging to get guidelines. We know Knotts has been equally vocal. It's ALL theme parks in CA.
This is not some Disney vs. The Governor showdown.
I also think the question (and one folks like us on here might not like) is what is DL/USH willing to "give up" for the Governor to remove or reduce certain restrictions, such as the rumored local restriction and possibly a Yellow phase open. Would the Governor allow them to reopen sooner if Disney/Universal reduced capacity caps even more? Would he even consider dropping the distance restriction? If it's truly a negotiation, neither side is going to get exactly what they want. I try to be fair to both sides (it takes two to tango after all), but it's looking like this situation may need outside arbitration to get involved. The question is.... will he listen. This kind of proves that the talks between them haven't been the way the government officials have stated it. Everyone needs to have buy in on how it works.
This whole thing feels like a bad soap opera at this point.Wow, this whole thing is a mess
