I saw the Friendship Boats out yesterday at Yacht Club! It looked like they were testing the waters (no pun intended ).

Also, side note... we ordered Mickey Waffles a few times this week. While they were not as awful as some people were saying, they definitely were not as good as they were before. They are very dense and heavy now almost like a cake donut. So, if you enjoy those you might like them. I preferred the previous ones.

Do standard Yacht Club rooms have the ability to switch inputs on the TV, if I brought an HDMI cable and a device like an iPad?

I think we can establish the docks still exist, the boats still work & the captains can still captain. So now can we get a date for reopening the boats? Pretty please?!

I like to call about a week before my trip as well to reconfirm my room requests.

This is a good idea. We did not get any of our requests (I know they are only requests) and the room wasn’t very clean (make-up container in the bathroom, hairs on the vanity and tv console, someone else’s socks in the washer, etc.) I was disappointed considering the current cleaning measures in place and the room wasn’t ready until almost 6. We still really enjoyed our stay and they offered to move us the next day as they were booked up, but the next room wasn’t ready until late and with a toddler we just chose to stay put. I just wiped everything down.

So excited. We just made the final payment on our trip to Disney/Yacht Club next month. I'm starting to think this one might finally be a go . I can't wait for our first stay here (and first stay at a deluxe to boot).

Curious, any suggestions on recommendations for a standard view room at YC? I know the views are not great. I would love a good view, but it would add $100+ for gv and $600+ for wv. We want to allocate that money to food while we are there. We are ok with standard view. That said, any suggestions on a room I should request? I know that we are not guarenteed the room, but Id rather make a request and hope, than no request at all.

We'll be at BCV in 9 days!! Anyone used the laundry rooms at BC recently? We're staying in a Studio and will want to do a load or 2 of laundry so we can pack lighter. The laundry monitoring website shows it unknown and that seemed odd. Here's hoping I don't need to drag out the big suitcase.

I have been requesting a room with a nice view when I book a standard view room. That request is often honored. There are standard view rooms that overlook the flat roof but beyond it is a view of the main pool and Crescent Lake. Those rooms might have a view of the fireworks once Disney returns to normal.

Thank you! That’s actually a lot more exits than I was expecting. I was worried about being all the way at the end, assuming I was close to heading to DHS, only to find I had to go all the way back to the lobby to exit. This is so helpful!

Do they sell any face masks at The Market at Ale & Compass? I’d love to get some Disney masks prior to getting into the parks!

Should I book at Yacht Club in January (keeping in mind that we have a family trip booked in December to Disney)? I've been really wanting to try it out, especially for Stormalong Bay, and the great rates are really tempting me, and I do have an AP.

The time frame (just over a month after our scheduled trip), and the fact that it's January and might not be the best weather for Stormalong are holding me back. Thoughts?

I don't know about January but we went the end of November into December one year and there were times when the lifeguards were dressed head to toe in warm weather gear - pants, jackets, gloves) and my kids were still swimming. I'm assuming it's a heated pool. But we're also from the Northeast so they have a higher cold threshold than Floridians.
