I said I liked card but probably cancelling. He kept pushing benefits. I didn’t disagree I just said I didn’t want to pay AF. After going on for a bit I ended up saying well I would think about it but probably just going to close it unless he could give me another reason at all to keep open. That’s when I finally got the offer. Good I was doing it for DH. No way he would have been patient enough for it!

Tried for a 3rd business card with Chase after logging in and using my existing sole prop business" that's on file (have an ink cash and ink preferred), but was denied citing new business card recently opened (I received an Ink Preferred in February), low usage of Chase cards and too many request for credit (have about 7 inquiries on Experian). I know it is recommended to wait 3 months between Chase cards, but how long should I wait before applying for the Ink Unlimited card again ? (would like to try with a different industry and slightly higher revenue.

I use my Chase URs and transfer them to SW as needed. I have the CSP, CFU and CFF. I transfer all CFU and CFF points to the CSP and keep them there. Then, when I book a SW flight I transfer from the CSP to SW.

Thanks for the tip on Southwest! Is the Companion Pass still an option? We have only ever flown Southwest and United, so if there’s any air deals with United, I would be interested in that as well. We haven’t traveled hardly at all with COVID. It has been pretty depressing. We live in New York, which makes traveling anywhere very difficult because we’re looking at a two week quarantine when we get back. States that aren’t on the two week quarantine list could end up being on the New York quarantine list by the time we travel back, so it’s just made traveling close to impossible unless we stay in the northeast. Also, I have Lupus and so have to be more careful.
We are trying to get prepared for when the vaccine is available and things are quite a bit different and safer. We’ve already reserved a stay at Universal for 2022 with the realization that that may not happen as well. Anyway I knew there were some limits with a companion pass and I didn’t know if there was any recent changes because of Covid? The last I knew was that you had to be able to travel within a year of getting the pass. Is that true?

The CP is going strong. Transferring points from UR to SW do not count towards the CP though. The easiest way to get CP is via SW CCs since the bonuses count and then figuring out a way to get whatever you are short. The CP is good for the year it is earned and the following. So if you earn the CP in 4/21, it is good 4/21-12/31/22.

I have bad back and knee. I have a recumbent bike that converts to elliptical (cheap version but it works fine). I literally cannot do the elliptical more than 5 minutes before my knee gives out. Congrats on your new purchase.

This group has definitely made an impression on me. I ran to Lowe's and Walmart yesterday for a few items and realized I only had my debit card with me because I left my CFF and Bonvoy at home where I was online shopping. I was so mad at myself even though I was only spending about $20 total. The thought of leaving any URs on the table made me so mad. I think that's an indication it's time for me to join the Dischurners group. May I please get an invite?

I put in a $250 Saks makeup order to use my 50$ Plat credit (Disney math right there ) and the initial charge of $250 is on the statement as pending along with 6 other pending Saks orders all in varying amounts between $27-$225ish. I am currently at a hotel (where I placed the order while on wifi) so is it:
a) some scam where people can get my credit card and order info from public wifi
b) weird groups of items charged individually as they ship

Chat with Amex resulted in them immediately cancelling and reissuing the Plat card which is annoying because I almost feel like if I would have waited to ask them about it the pending charges maybe would have cleared up when the orders were all delivered . Or someone smarted than me would have continued running up thousands on my CC in the meantime-who knows. So now my CC on file at the hotel we are at is currently void and I need to update it. I hope the Fine Hotel & Resorts benefits aren't linked to the specific Plat card otherwise this is gonna mess stuff up!

When did you place the order? And did you use shoprunner so it'd ship faster?

It's normal for any place to put a hold fpr the entire amount and then charge as it ships and then the initial one will fall off. Saks has done it to me, shop Disney does it. I think amazon is one of the few that doesn't do it.

My makeup order was broken up into 3 separate orders. 3 amounts added up to the original order.

Since my PH refund from UCT came through, I now have a credit sitting on my Amex BBP account.

Right at this moment, I'd rather have that money back in the form of a check if I can get it. Is this something I can request or is that not a thing?
