The Boardwalk is not closed but its offerings are reduced. We booked our flights, added a night to our BC stay AND just found out very good friends will be in the world the same week, they’re staying at carribean beach. While we don’t want to tour together we do want to get together once or twice, it will be 4 adults & 5 kids under 5. In the past I would’ve suggested meeting at the boardwalk, playing games & letting kids run around but with that area closed I’m unsure where a good spot would be. Prefer not DS...any ideas in the resort area?
We were just at the Wilderness Lodge. They had daily tie-dying there in the afternoon, near the pool. Can someone help me with a question? At the beach club do they still have tubes for you to use in the lazy river? Also, are they still selling noodles to use in the main part of the pool? We just booked a fast trip for 5/5-5/10 and I'm trying to figure out what I need to buy and bring down. Last question what kind activities do they do now by the pool? anymore tye dying or sand art? Thank you

Is there anyone who is at the resort now, or just returned, who has pictures of the Activities, Movie Schedule, Dining/Activities Hours that are posted on boards in lobby?
If so, please post here or you can email pictures to me at beachclubdee at yahoo.
I love the Yacht Club quiet pool - which is called the Admiral pool. If you walk from the lobby toward the YC marketplace you will see the doors to the quiet pool at the end of the hallway. The quiet pool is large and usually empty. The most people I've seen at it when I was there might have been six people. They have a lot of seats in the sun with a few tables with umbrellas. They have a good size whirlpool with a lot of lounges in the shade. The laundry room is located there, making it easy to relax at the pool while doing your laundry.
You can call them to pick it up and store it for you, or bring it down yourselves.I’ve done this pre-Covid, but I wanted to see if this is still the case. On our checkout day, can we call down to Bell Services to have them get our luggage and store it? Or do we have to take it down to Bell Services ourselves?
Is Ample Hills the ice cream place? I'm so sad that's permanently closed! We had it almost every night our last stay at BC.The Boardwalk is not closed but its offerings are reduced.
A couple of restaurants are open (including Big River Grille, which has outdoor seating and takes reservations on opentable.com). The pizza window is open, the bakery is open, the store is open. They still show nighttime films in the main court. I recall reading that the margarita shop was reopening soon. Abracadabar is open.
ESPN Club is closed. Ample Hills is permanently closed. Flying Fish is closed. The various boardwalk games are closed. Last time I checked, the window where you could cotton candy is closed and the bike shop rental is closed. They do not have the nighttime juggler act.
Going to the Boardwalk allows them to hop over using the Skyliner, while you can walk over.
Unless you want to meet at Disney Springs, the Boardwalk is probably still your best bet.
The title made me laugh a little:
Yes, that's Ample Hills. Is Ample Hills the ice cream place? I'm so sad that's permanently closed! We had it almost every night our last stay at BC.
Oooof...... not what I want to see a week before we will be there!
holy moly.

Yes they could....... however.... SAB and the leisure pools are polar opposites in guest experiences. Plus the area/capacity at the leisure pools is dramatically different. The majority of families with children, first time visitors and repeat visitors book the YC/BC because of SAB. The leisure pools at YC/BC are standard "hotel" pools. I for one enjoy the leisure pools but have had my fill of SAB so it's not a real draw for me. Plus, the slide hurts my back! Sorry, I had bring the rivets up again.can't they just go to the leisure pool then?
The lines have been pretty typical in the mid afternoon during the spring break timeframe - if you’re there in the morning you’ll have no problem finding access, or later in the day around dinner time.makes me have buyer's remorse!
