DVC point balancing 2022 vs 2021

In terms of the original topic of this thread, it's been awfully quiet recently. There was some communication with management earlier indicating that they were "working on" updated charts. Any updates?

As I understand it, the longer they wait to publish an updated the chart, the more painted into a corner they are with regards to only being able to make adjustments later in the year.

Yes, although it seemed like that was their original plan anyway rather than to fix the issue they created with the additional season they added in the spring around Easter.

It's just the cynical side of me, but I believe that they're waiting out the clock.

They still have time to adjust summer dates which were in the process of being adjusted down anyway.

For example, they could simply move however days from June 11th to end of August from the current travel period 4 back up into travel periods 3 to accomplish whatever has been reported is being done.

The fact that some of travel period 3 has passed wouldn’t impact it since it’s the actual dates that matter.

Maybe they'll publish both the revised 2022 and the 2023 charts?
If they have to so something strange for 2022, like adding days to season 1 in September, it might be a good idea to publish the 2023 chart already, to show it's a temporary change. They have told someone they're going to publish the 2023 charts earlier, maybe it'll be very early.

I would imagine they are running into some issues, whether from a lawsuit or from actually changing the charts. It is getting very close to having to publish the revised 2022 points chart. Will it even happen? And if not, what happens then?

So, do we need to start emailing and calling again? Maybe they think most have lost interest and the preasure is going away with time.

I think we have all let up with the news that new charts were coming in a "few weeks". How long ago was that, though? We must be talking months at this point.

I wonder if it's now become a PR issue of how they spin the changes to the charts. Or if they're stuck because the charts need to be fixed but by fixing them they're worried about it being an admission of wrongdoing or that it will potentially create issues if there are lawsuits out there.

They don't seem to ever be afraid to use the "due to member requests" spiel. Or else the "we're changing because members couldn't understand" line.

I have emailed the contacts I've been working with on getting this situation resolved; they advised the outage is unrelated to this issue and will be releasing the 2022 point charts "in the August timeframe".
Thanks for reaching out and following up. Wow - August is still a ways away. Very curious to see how they change the charts and how this all plays out. I wonder if the poster above is correct and they will also release 2023 point charts at the same time. This way they can appease those who have already booked in 2022 with future lower point dates since we know the 2023 charts are projected to be lower anyway. I will very much be looking forward to the boards analyzing the 2023 charts to see if any changes were made or if we are still on the inflated seesaw trajectory that I<3riviera showed us.
