OHANA Opens 7/9 - AWAITING REVIEWS :|

I was hoping the feedback would be better… I have both Be Our Guest and Ohana on the same day. We’re going with my parents and I was hoping we could do dinner in their resort day there but the mains look awful. I can’t see paying $55/person for salad, chicken wings and noodles. I will have to choose in a few weeks (both is too much in one day) but I am leaning heavily towards Be Our Guest.
Me too:(
Ohana was going to be our final night dinner during our Poly stay but I canceled it yesterday. I was waiting to see the reviews but especially pictures of the food and we were so disappointed. I think it was the skillet with bone in chicken to share that tipped me over lol!

Following up on my previous breakfast review, we ate dinner last night at Ohana at 8:30:
Bread - Coconut Papaya Scones were phenomenal. I did not try the biscuits.
Salad - Very good
Wings - Some of the best I’ve had.
Roasted Chicken - Very good.
Kielbasa Saisage - Very good
Noodles - Delicious but the amount of iodized salt was extremely high. We really noticed it due to our family only using sea salt. Disney really should consider changing to sea salt…but that costs more.
Teriyaki Beef - Good flavor but a bit tough. Again serious amounts of iodized salt in the preparation.
Pork Dumplings - Very good. My 11 yo loved them.
Island Shrimp Casserole - Absolutely gross!
Enough said and it should be changed or removed from the menu.
Desert - Bread pudding is now my favorite desert in property.
Atmosphere - The best! Fairly clear view of both the electrical light water pageant and the fireworks directly from our table!
All and all we enjoyed Ohana but probably won’t be looking to go back until we stay at the Poly in April 2022.

Sebastian's is, indeed, all you care to eat.
Yes, I believe you are right! A few blogs said I it was not, then some said it was. DFB reported they were able to request more & they are pretty reliable! A good value for Disney if you like that type of food. Unfortunately, it would not go over well with the majority of my family!

Is this confirmed? All you care to enjoy? You can request more?

Me too!!! I don’t care for bone in chicken (except Peruvian rotisserie chicken) but when I saw pictures of that slimy looking chicken, I almost didn’t need to read reviews. It is so unappetizing.
It’s sad too. It was never amazing but was good and we always had a great time. I just can’t spend that kind of money for the current offerings. Maybe over time it will get better.
Have fun at BOG! We only had dinner once but it was very good and the castle is so fun!

Thanks for posting. I had reservations here the first week in August for both breakfast and dinner. After seeing the breakfast reviews, I cancelled the breakfast reservation yesterday and switched to the Wave. I kept the dinner one since we have it for 8:25 and was hoping that would be a good time to possibly see the fireworks and electrical light water pageant. That is the only reason I haven't cancelled this reservation yet. There aren't many special experiences for this trip and I am hoping that the atmosphere will make it worth it.

There are positive YouTube reviews with good video. Go check them out. Listening to our friends here is like critiquing your last root canal. Never ever going to be happy these people. Me included. Yet I am keeping my ADR cause the food looks good and the ukelele guy IS back playing music.

I traded our reservations for Trails End, the food just doesn’t look like it is worth $55. That shrimp looks terrible.

The Wave closes 7/15 for refurb. The Waves’s breakfast will reportedly be served at CGrill so you may want to check into that.

Thank you for the detailed review! Nice to see someone like the chicken. Were they still asking for feedback from the tables?

Aside from DFB(they like almost everything), no one seems to like the casserole - not a shock. Even though this has fallen, there’s probably still enough to make me go back in November. Just hope they listen about the shrimp which is being panned everywhere..

Overall it sounds "good", but not $55 pp good.

My cousin's allergy is so bad that he has gotten allergic reactions from particles in the air while walking past restaurants. If the kitchen messed up, it'd be a trip to the hospital. A lot of schools have banned nuts altogether for that reason.
Weird that they got rid of the peanut sauce but are putting almond brittle on top of the salad.

Good catch on the nut topping. 🤭 That "it's due to nut allergies" thing sounded like a CYA statement moreso than a truthful thing. It's estimated 1% of folks have Celiac disease and yet flour is everywhere; there's no reason to not offer the sauce as at least an option.

I will add, now that I have more time.
The biscuits were both good.
Salad was good.
Wings/Dumplings good.
Noodles good, missed the veggies tho.
Broccoli didn't care for.
Shrimp casserole I did not like.
Chicken we liked, sausages were sausages. 🤷‍♀️
Steak, for us, was just too seasoned, and just warm, and the texture was almost smooshy, like maybe we waited so long for it bcuz it sat there forever.
I remember the dessert as being banana foster, so that was a big surprise to us.

Our service started out great, but deteriorated.
Our reservation was at 5:50, and we were seated fairly quickly. My receipt says 7:25. Most of the time we sat there with no drinks refilled and no food to eat. I understand it just opened, so I am not too negative. But I wont be back, sadly.
YMMV I hope!!
