This is acceptable news, in light of current circumstances. And if it lets them not shut anything down, that’s the best. I wonder if Universal will follow suit?Direct from Disney’s website. Beginning July 30 face coverings will be required while indoors.

Disney World - Know Before You Go
I would expect Universal to do something. I have no inside info there though, so no idea what. They have more options of what they can do if they have to go further since they don't have park reservations. This is acceptable news, in light of current circumstances. I do dread the mess it will be on Friday. We had the MK scheduled but talking now to see if we want to do the water park to avoid what I know will be crazy.Let's just hope people are reasonable human beings and not jerks, but that may be too much to ask for.
This is like major major news and yet no threads on this topic have lasted more than 15 minutes before they are deleted.
I guess it makes sense, though, because there really isn’t anything to discuss about this news. Either your happy or angry about this announcement (maybe some are neutral). So I guess with nothing to discuss it simply turns to a debate and gets shutdown.
As someone who has a trip planned starting in 15-days, this is big news. I’m curious as to what effect this policy has on a number of aspects for our trip. So a healthy and civil conversation would be helpful.
Got it. Too many good threads have already been taken away. I do not want to lose this thread too.Yeah I know it’s the current news for both Disney World and Disneyland but if we could table further discussion regarding the topic of face coverings just to avoid closing the thread that would be appreciated. Thanks for the understanding!
There are pretty clear rules on what can be discussed on this forum and a big problem is that although I do think most people here handle the discussion well, some people either aren’t aware of the rules or just don’t care. This is like major major news and yet no threads on this topic have lasted more than 15 minutes before they are deleted.

I'd say no. They just released the mask news, that's going to cause extra calls and complaints to their call centers. If they release some more news, for example FP news, that will increase the amount of calls even more. Will we get any decent news today? Place your bets here!
And it starting tomorrow...lol I know it'll never happen, but if we're putting it out there...This would be a GREAT time for Disney to announce something GOOD like the return of FP or Annual Passes.
