For those that may not venture off of this thread on the DIS:

RUMOR THAT DISNEY GENIE WILL LAUNCH FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER via WDW Magic. I know we have some upcoming trips here so just wanted to call that out for you friends!

Individual Ride Pricing RUMOR from the same post:
We understand from various sources that Disney will be asking between $4 and $24 per person, per ride, depending on the category of attraction.
Another deal going on to avoid short lines right now is Boo Bash, formerly known as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).
We just did it last Saturday night from 9pm-12:30am (entry began at 7pm, but limited crowds didn't start until 9pm). And free snacks didn't start until 9:30pm.
Tickets were $120 pp for the 5 1/2 hours.
We stopped for Mickey ice cream bars twice, popcorn twice, and each got a couple of drinks, plus we hit nearly every trick-or-treat trail. Also a little shopping on the way in.
We rode 15 rides that typically had 10 minute queues (in order):
Jungle Cruise (7:30)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Big Thunder Mtn (during closing fireworks ceremony at 9pm)
Splash Mtn
Haunted Mansion (9:30)
Little Mermaid
Barnstormers
Dumbo
Teacups
Tomorrowland Speedway
Space Mtn
Buzz Lightyear
7 Dwarf Mine Train (line was 30 minutes when we originally passed, now 20)
Peter Pan
And got off of Small World at 12:45am

ETA: I would expect popularity to increase as we approach Halloween
ETAA: Tickets are limited and are sold out, per afan, below. Sorry for getting anyone's hopes up. There's always next season if this sounds good to you. It's still rare for us to casually hit 15 rides in one day, so I felt like it was a good deal.

It's not MNSSHP it's an after hours boo bash. It's sold out except for some day of sales at guest services outside any park or at DS.

There's also an xmas ah version for a lot more that's not selling out.

Interesting statement email from Sunpass. I have one of those that they sold at convenience stores in Florida for use in Florida prior to E-Zpass acceptance in Florida. I have no idea where the actual pass is. Lost it long ago, could be stuck in the seat of a car I no longer have, but it still works by tag when I'm in Florida, so I keep a little balance on it - usually $25.

In August I drove through Baltimore and used the Fort McHenry Tunnel both ways going and coming back.

I also have a Delaware E-Zpass which I've used for more than 10 years. Last week my Delaware statement came and it had charged me for some local tolls. I noticed that my Baltimore tunnel toll was not on it, but figured it would show soon.

The tolls were charged to my Sunpass balance. There was enough money on the pass to take care of it. It's not on auto replenish - has to be replenished as required. The Delaware one has a credit card attached and is on automatic, so there would have been no problem with payment.

So, sooner or later I'll get back to Florida. Are E-Zpass and Sunpass interchangeable down there now? I know some roads took E-Zpass on my last visit but at that time, I thought there were still some highways on Sunpass only?

I did have the Delaware pass on the windshield. My guess is it's not 'transponding' maybe dead battery or whatever makes them work, and I need a new transponder. Just weird that they shopped around and found my Florida balance instead of my Delaware balance.

That reminds me when did the Bay Bridge toll get removed? We were totally surprised when we went to Cambridge last month.

Came home from a couple of days up north to an envelope for p2 from Chase. Guess his run with their biz cards is over, and we won't be getting that lovely chunk of UR's and support UR's from his his CIC app. They want verification of his idenity (easy enough) and his "business" ( not easy). I have nothing that would verify his "business" so, I guess that's that.

I hope Genie + debuts in the first few days. We arrive on the 17th and I want to see how it's working for as long as possible before we go. Going to make it hard to do too much planning for our days until it gets going.

I just got a glimpse of a billboard that was talking about EZ-Pass and Sun Pass interchangeability. I didn't see the details in time. But a year ago, I thought I saw on TV that EZ-Pass would be accepted at MOST toll roads. Maybe that meant ALL Sun Pass tolls, and not E-Pass (note similar spelling)?

If he applied as sole proprietor, then the only business docs to verify is him the person. They might just want SSN card or driver's license or some bill with his name and address.

yeah, the letter says passport, drivers license etc. But then it has a listing of items for the business, like a license, registration info, utility bill etc. He did apply as sole only, so all I would have is a photo id. I am not even sure if most of our utility bills have his name. Would that work do you think, a utility bill in his just personal name with our home address?

This happened to my husband once, the request to verify identity/business. He applied as sole prop. I believe I sent in a copy of his license and a copy of our home water bill (same address as his "biz" address) which is in his name and that was sufficient.

Hm, water bill is just in my name. Electric has both, would that suffice? Property tax bill would have both also, wonder if that counts? Just checked, gas bill has both our names also.

Do VGC from Staples work with Venmo? I need to pay sports fees via venmo & figured I would try, but my test payment to P2 keeps getting declined. It let me add the card though, which I don't remember being able to do in the past with a Walmart VGC.

I bought a Uni-Pass, it says "works on all toll roads and most bridges throughout Florida, up the east coast to Maine and even west to Minnesota ". It's part of E-Pass. I bought it for our Florida trips and also in case I need it when I go visit DD in Virginia later this month.

It's hard to keep all these toll systems straight. I'd love to have one master tag that works for all lol

Looking for advice regarding amex biz applications. Not sure if I should post here so I posted it on dischurners for anyone who has time to take a look. Thanks!

I'm going to look into the Maryland one. I find it strange that SunPass picked up the Fort McH tunnel but not the Hatem bridge and Rt 200, both in Maryland, one south of FMcH and one north of it, all tolls within a week or so of one another.

When I got the Delaware one, I had exited off or on through an E-Z pass lane with no transponder, so I pulled into Delaware's toll office on Route 1, confessed my sin and asked if there was anything I could do (such as purchase a transponder). Yes, they said, buy a transponder and load it and the toll will go on it, which it did. At the time,
DD was going to UNBC in Catonsville and she had a Maryland E-Zpass. So, it's maybe closer to 20 years I've had that thing!

Anyway, the way Md's pass worked, it was more expensive so I didn't get one. Something like you had to use x amount of loaded funds in a month before expiration. Maryland's plans are more user friendly now, but my other plans were still working okay for my occasional trips, other than going through Virginia during rush hour. One trip cost me over $20 to do 95 south between 4 and 5pm on a Friday but traffic on the regular road was stopped, and I was headed to Florida so win.

Looks like many of these states are now interconnected on the E-Z pass system. Edit: confirmed. Although Sun Pass uses the term 'SunPass Pro' it's now obvious my 'mini' bought for $5.95 long ago also provides the same service, just not at the Maryland rate. I'll be getting a Maryland transponder (it's free!) as instate tolls are cheaper using it.

You should have gotten a bill by mail if you don’t have an EZpass.

All-electronic (cashless) tolling is permanently in effect statewide. There’s no stopping at toll booths, and tolls are paid by using an E-ZPass or by Video Tolling. This system provides convenience for motorists, less engine idling for better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, decreased congestion and increased safety.

Woke up to flight changes on SW. I’ve been waiting for this! I booked flights when they had the half off sale in hopes I could bump 4 weeks ahead…then they changed the window to 2 weeks. Well they had already changed the original flights so I bumped up 2 weeks and now they changed those flights so I bumped up to the days I really wanted. It was a risk but I saved so much (flying over Thanksgiving). So here’s to hoping we can make this trip and

I got hurled on quite literally on the Gemini many years ago. It was so disgusting 🤮 They got me on the ride and then ran off and leaned over the railing to finish and nailed a bunch of people passing under. I went to the bathroom and threw away my shirt and tried to clean as best as I could in the sink while DH went and bought me a new shirt. Ah what fun memories. 🤣🤣. This was probably 25 years ago as it was prekids, so many coasters have been added since then but even then I was thinking this is one of the tamest, how could you barf on it.

I had been on Rugaro, Maverick and Steel Vengeance before the Gemini took me out, LOL. I was able to rally to do GateKeeper before we left (the first time I've done that). But I didn't get to do Magnum, Raptor, Valraven, or Blue Streak. Or my son's fav Power Tower. I felt bad, but my 12yo and 16yo went on all those w/o me, so they at least got the fun! And I've learned I need a lot more time between rides.

Trying to mentally prepare for school to start tomorrow. OMG everything is a fiasco. Like most places, we don't have enough bus drivers. They have high school kids being picked up at 9:35 when school starts at 9. And when they say they'll pick them up at 9:35, it will likely be closer to 11 for the first few weeks. I found out last night that Juniors aren't guarateed parking. And DS is splitting his time between two schools and right now is required to ride the bus to the second school but the bus will never get him back in time for football. And his dad moved 30 minutes away which just adds another fun layer. I paid oodles of money to get him a car and insure him and it seems like I'll be driving him all over the county while working! My employer will love this:)

In credit card news, my refinance closes tomorrow and I signed my contract with the tile guy who will demo my bathroom and do the tile work. Next week I'll pick out the tile. Then I'll work on the vanity and counter. I've picked out some pretty Delta faucets but I'm struggling with finish (leaning toward the champagne bronze). Anyway, should have a decent amount of spend to put on a new card but not inspired at the moment. Still have maybe a little over $1000 to finish my CS Platinum retention offer. And while I'm sitting on 400K UR points for flights to Europe, I really don't feel optimistic about crusing next summer. I so want something to look forward to.
I'm in my 3rd week (2nd with students) and I'm still not ready for this, LOL. I've honest forgotten (after 23 years) how to do all this in person. I'm out of my element (even though we returned to the classroom in Jan). Everyone is in person now. So no more streaming to 1/2 my students at home. Back to allowing them to work together, etc. I'm sure I'll be back in my groove soon, but it is very weird!
