Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

or just shot a copy of your bill to Steve.

We're not talking about a nominal fee. A case of water could cost $20. Add the cost of the water and a possible tip to bell services. The resort fee covers 2 bottles of water a day and posters have said, within reason, S/D will give you additional water.
Yes I was thinking the same with the water (or soda) items... that weight adds up fast.

This is why I just stop at Target on my way from the airport to the hotel - I put in my order before my flight leaves - and it's always ready to pick up curbside. Then all my water and grocery stuff just goes upstairs with the rest of my luggage.

AS an FYI - the Hunter's Creek Target has a small amount of storage for refrigerated items but the Vineland store does not. AND they do allow you to order wine thru for curbside pickup - you just have to show your ID.

Unfortunately we're traveling Thanksgiving day so I don't think most places are open. It's why i didn't opt for a car service that offers a grocery stop. I'm trying to find out if Amazon Fresh would be delivering on Thanksgiving day as I can definitely meet in the lobby as we don't have any ADR's or anything planned for arrival day.

Well, darn! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful then.

GROCERY DELIVERIES (Amazon, Instacart, Shipt, etc.): Guests are encouraged to schedule grocery deliveries when they will be available to receive items from the delivery driver. When guests are not present to receive deliveries from the delivery driver, 11th Hour will receive and hold grocery items until picked up or delivery is requested by the guest. Package handling fees apply to all items received and held by 11th Hour as listed on the previous page. Refrigeration is not provided. 11th Hour and the Swan and Dolphin Resort are not responsible for damaged or unusable perishable items.
It seemed very confusing so I reached out to S/D direct and asked if there was a fee for grocery deliveries. Their reply was "Yes, for grocery deliveries are accepted complimentary, they just cannot be perishable items." So appears that the fee is only for business deliveries, at least for now
The written information says grocery deliveries are to the business center and are subject to fees. I'd either meet the delivery driver or be prepared to pay the fee. I don't think saying Steve on the internet said the hotel would accept without charge would carry any weight if your delivery winds up in the business center YMMV
So confusing.

Has anyone here ever booked with a third party such as Expedia? Did the reservation connect okay in MDE. Thinking of adding one night for late hours at MK Xmas week.
I have done it in the before times and had to contact the third party after booking to get the reservation number that will work with MDE. It is not included in your initial email. I just sent an email and had no issues. Of course, that is in the before times.

We had a good stay at the Swan last week and I would definitely stay there again. One odd thing - we ate at the Dolphin several times for lunch or an early dinner before going back to the parks (love the AAA discount!) and our last dinner came with an added 18% gratuity. When I asked the server about it he said it was policy. Except that was the first time out of 4 that it was added. I immediately went back to my other receipts to make sure I hadn't tipped on top of an added gratuity, and nope, never happened before. So watch your check!

Not sure about S/D, some restaurants add an auto tip if you're applying a discount. Some servers are able to delete the auto tip. Done if they think you tip generously but might not tip above an auto tip

I usually tip more than 18% on the total before discount. I did add a couple of bucks, but he would have done better to not add it. Oh well.

Which restraunt did you eat at? They do that at Picabu too, I think it was started due to convention attendees not tipping. I personally it and I generally just say fine that's all you'll get.

@georgina that's interesting I would not have expected that charge from that location. At least the discount on AAA made me feel a bit better - but I still don't like mandatory tipping like that, but thanks for the heads up about the Fountain doing it.

Quick question….
Is there a discount on meals with an AP?
