I don't know you either but like the other poster I have been keeping up with you and because of that when I attended a drive thru Santa Clause parade in Ajax Ontario and I saw this group of people I knew who they were.

Today was day 2 back in infusion, just magnesium today. Major numbers were down, but Dr had warned me they would roller coaster for a little while. Still pretty tired, but have a long way to go.

So last week got to come home and start unpacking, re adjusting to the dog, my own bed. We were also coming back to the hospital daily for my infusions. On Sat, they said take Sunday off our numbers look good.
Monday morning show up for infusion with a fever and developing rash spreading rapidly.
So there goes Chris back up stairs to be admitted and tested for all kinds of things.
DW had to run home and grab me some clothes and cpap for stay, felt bad for her.
This is where the bad good comes in to play.
Bad to have a fever and rash, but it means my body has accepted the transplant and it is now attacking my own body. This is known as Graft vs Host disease and it is pretty common. It can take up a year to control, steriods etc.
They will do another biopsy this Friday and we have a meeting with Dr on Weds after to discuss the biopsy results. Hopefully he has better news for me that day. Maybe discharged today, if not most likely tomorrow

Well maybe today I can talk the dr into sending me home. rash is there and will be awhile but not as angry this morning. WBC and ANC have jumped again after falling for a few days. So making progress slowly.

Back on track! Thats good. For the rash, if its itchy. You may be able to use this, check first.
When my wife had the kido she had this rash thing called pups, worst rash that lasted for like 2 months. Only thing that helped her was this and black tar pine soap. She wasnt able to have any medication because of the baby. Also, used by a co workers wife after breast cancer treatment, so you should be able to use it, but, ask , as I am not a doctor. I have bought every rash thing every made or treatment ever used during the pregnancy.

well bone marrow biopsy done and they are discharging me to go home once again.

On Wednesday I have a meeting with the Dr to see what the results of the biopsy are. Then decide what the next course of action will be. Rash has turned out to just be clinical showing of Graft vs Host disease. So steroids and anti itch cream to treat me. Next infusion on Sunday..

WBC count today was 8.04 in normal range. Anc is up to 6.78 which is also in range on the high side.
No appointments until Weds and see what Dr says at that time.

Numbers today were good, I now meet with the Dr weekly. They had the bone marrow biopsy results,, kinda funky with all the meds.
Chrysium test showed that my bone marrow is 99.9 percent my donnor. Sorry typing iis gettiing worse, tromors caused by medss.
