Boulder Ridge Refurb Has Begun!

So here now, and we are in the room right by the test room. There have been a lot of people in and out of the rooms yesterday with clipboards then going back to the construction area. Makes me wonder if some of the refurbed rooms are getting close to being done.

I have everything crossed that we get a refurbished room at the end of March. I thought they would fly through the rooms fairly quickly once they started, but "completion Spring 2023" makes me nervous!

I have Boulder Ridge booked for mid-April. I am thinking with the Spring 2023 anticipated completion timeline that by that point every unit will be refurbished or will be removed from available inventory for refurbishment.

I have a 2BR at BRV booked for May 7-14, 2023. I'm feeling pretty confident that it will be finished by then.

Although, I do have a waitlist for BCV. I'm not holding my breath on that one. LOL.

This is a good point that I hadn't considered. By the end of March/April, you would think that even if not complete, they would probably have a good chunk of rooms finished and those that aren't would be taken out of inventory in order for them to be worked on.
I feel a little bit better about my chances of a refurbished room at the end of March

Please clarify something for me about refurbished studios. A comment above is confusing me.

After refurbishment, a BRV studio will have a regular queen bed, a murphy bed/couch combo, PLUS the small single pull down, correct? I really want that small one as well.

I seen one in the pictures but that was in the one bedroom. The only picture of the studio is facing the bed. the studio sleeps 5 now so I cant see them going to 4 but you never know Copper Creek only sleeps 4.

5 days from now we'll be at Copper Creek first in a studio, then at BRV in a 1 bdr for a few nights. No hope of getting a new room at BRV (j/k, I can hope for a miracle) but I will take pics of what's going on when we're there.

Please wish me luck everyone! I just switched from a 1-bedroom SSR to a 1-bedroom BRV for late March/early April in the hopes we get a refurbished room. If not, I may try to switch back (I'm paying cash through WDW). I would LOVE to stay in one of the new BRV rooms, though!!!

This is from today. This is at the end of the long hall. Every room to the left (down the long hall) is open to guests. The renovations are happening to the right of this where the rotunda is located and the rooms closer to CCV. Every floor was being renovated.

I know at least rooms on the 2nd floor and higher are being refurbed in that area. I don’t think there is a room in that location on the 1st floor. The only renovations on the 1st floor are on the opposite side of the rotunda.

We just got back, and it looked like all the rooms North of the rotunda on all floors were being remodeled.

Great map! This is correct. All floors except I don’t think there is a room on the 1st floor in the corner section.

That's what it looked like this week. They are using the windows of the rooms by the small circle to lift dry wall/sheet rock up to the floors using a crane lift. Equipment, like the lift, are staged on the pool side. They appeared to be starting to stage equipment on the bus side, just at the south end of the big circle.

The only construction noise we heard was the lift crane getting turned on when we were out on the patio. We were way down on the south end of the building though in Room 1555/1553.

Looks to me like this will be a very quick refurb.
