Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We’re staying at BC for the first time this April.

Does the wing that is closest to Epcot actually have an exterior exit or do you have to walk all the way through the interior of the building, back to the main entrance/lobby to exit the building?

Also if anyone wants to share their favourite room requests for garden view would love to hear your suggestions (and why)! We’re travelling with 10&12 yr old who love the pool but also most of our park time will be spent at Epcot &HS and we plan to walk to those.

Yes, there are several exits besides the main lobby. The closest to Epcot & the Skyliner is near room 1501. Post 8 on page 1 has all the Beach Club info. There are some pictures of the different floor layouts so you can get an idea of what room numbers are where.

Rolled in to Yacht Club a couple hours ago. Room not yet ready so I headed off to EPCOT. Got routed over to bag check, along with lots of others. Not the smoothest start to the parks part of my day. Finally got in just as early "hours" started. Limped on over to Remy (my hip and leg are acting up today). About half hour wait. By the time I got done, I was ready for breakfast. Waited in Crepes A Emporter line (twice) and Les Halles line and bailed on them all. Probably waited too late for breakfast. I'd entered the mind fog stage, where I can't make decisions well. In the end, I caught a delightful cruise back to YC on the Friendship Boat and hobbled to Market at Ale and Compass for the egg-white wrap and a cold brew. Sitting at a cozy booth/table in the corner, sipping my drink, reading my book, and charging my phone. Considering a move over to SAB. No noteworthy pics yet.

All the CM at YC have been really friendly and helpful.

Hi- any recommendation for a room request for a yacht club standard view room? Would like to try to find a way to stay away from a loud road view. And was yacht club renovated recently? I know the villas are happening now at beach club but wondered how state of YC is. Thanks!

Yup, technically if you don't have a reservation for dining or staying at the hotel they're not supposed to let you in. Some guards will not care and will just wave you through, but others could turn you away.

so I made a reservation at ale and compass at yacht club for 740am for breakfast For our Epcot day on march 3rd. I assume we can now take an Uber from our sapphire falls universal hotel around 7am and won’t have an issue entering Epcot via international gateway after our breakfast. I think this can work? lol

So we have booked beach club garden view club level from September 16-23rd for fall break this year. In doing some reading on here and in other places I’m seeing that the club level rooms now sleep only 4. That’s fine but do they have the daybeds? Our kids like to sleep separately so the daybed is a plus for us. Sorry if I missed something but can anyone tell me what the deal is on that?

I’m also seeing there are only a few garden view club level rooms and they appear to be concentrated in one area (from touring plans). It appears to me these rooms are close to the lounge which is something we prefer. Can anyone confirm this?

I’m not really familiar with the rooms beforehand, but I think those pics of Donald are adorable.

We had a GV BC CL room in August and it was in a short hallway just off the lounge. We loved our room location, but I don’t know where all of the GV rooms are. It did not have a daybed.

If you pop over to the CL thread and ask your question, there are some experts over there who may be able to help!

Yep, with a breakfast ADR you’ll be fine getting to breakfast and walking to the IG afterwards. Have fun!

I think simply installing a more significant headboard and replacing the mirror with some art would have went a long way to make it feel like more. I am glad it was done, rooms were refreshed and the murphy beds installed, but did expect a bigger change especially when I saw the hallway carpet.

Exactly my thoughts. Its that headboard that makes it a little bland ( and the all white sheets of course )

A taller, more substantial headboard would make a big impact/fuller design. A think a tall wicker or beachy fabric headboard with wood accents would be great, but then you have the issues of the wall sconces. I am sure that might have played a factor.

Installment #2 (lots of catching up)

Yesterday, I left off with the notion I might head to SAB. Ended up doing that (sort of). Took up a chair at Hurricane Hanna's to work a little. Passed a not-so-hidden Mickey doing poolside duty on the way. 20230206_110200.jpg

Got fooled by crudite on the menu at HH, thinking it would be something more than just your standard wing side of carrot and celery sticks. Hoped for more but happy with a healthy option, nonetheless. A couple of people near me ordered some huge blue drinks (which is exactly what they called them when I asked what they were).

Got notified my room was ready just as I was scheduled for an online meeting. Yay! for an early room assignment! Beautiful king bed on the first floor. Since I brought K cups with me (admittedly, I am a coffee snob), I was delighted to see a Keurig machine in the room. I was also delighted to see individual bath products, not the on-the-wall kind and a not-at-all-hidden Mickey waiting on the bed. Others have mentioned the drapes. I am now a huge fan, especially of Mousimus Lovelius. After working a bit more, I caught a ride on U.S.S. Friendship over to Flying Fish for dinner. I had a blast watching the chefs and cooks go about their work and loved the glass art decorating the ceilings (amber wine bottles over the bar, clear flying fish and bubbles in the main dining area). The attention to detail there, in both the decor and the food, was amazing. I had the potato-wrapped snapper over leeks, which was really good and the creamy goat cheesecake, which was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. Thought about returning to EPCOT for late night hours but headed back to YC instead. Glad I did as my knee and leg would not have held up for EPCOT visit. Checked out the quiet pool (living up to its name-nary a soul there) and the Captain's Deck (I'd love to see beyond those mysterious doors) and returned to my room where the overnight flight finally caught up to me.

When I woke up.....

CL day!
Before checking out, I headed upstairs for breakfast. On the menu-strawberry and vanilla yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, ham and cheese frittata, oatmeal with fixin's (toasted almonds, brown sugar, raisins, and cranberries), wheat and white bread, croissants, strawberry jam, grape jam, and orange marmalade, smoked salmon, red onions, capers and lemons, breakfast sausage, mixed berries (strawberries and blueberries), grapes, pineapple, bagels, English muffins, apple cinnamon loaf, guava danish, blueberry muffins, silver dollar pancakes, Rice Chex, Rice Krispies, Fruit Loops and corn flakes, POG and orange juice plus coffees and teas. I requested a POGmosa. Yum!
