Well I should have guessed the DVC bug would get me eventually 😅 We've rented points and really enjoyed our stays and just now had an offer accepted on a Boulder Ridge contract. I've done the math a million times and it never worked out to being close to reasonable until now. I can't believe I'm actually doing this! So excited and nervous! ROFR wait here we come...

Been mulling over DVC for years and my wife and I finally pulled the trigger after renting a 2-bedroom last year at the Beach Club and our plan to do the same this summer at Aulani.

BigFilipino---$94-$18354-170-AUL-Jun-78/22, 340/23, 170/24- sent 2/08, passed 2/27

fingers crossed!!! it's a different feeling when you own the points!!

Just a heads up. I am going with Mason and they are asking $35 more than First Am to close. So if you are earning anything less than 1.5% percent back on your CC, it won't matter which title company you go with.
Saving $$ isn’t the reason I use Mason Title. I use them because Cammy and her team are the bomb diggity! I’ll always pay for service!

This is going to be a really stupid question sorry... but i have never done this prior.
Going through Fidelity took a loan through their loan team. If i pass ROFR how do i get the money from the loan over to the seller. Does the loan company take care of that?

I have been waiting a week for Fidelity to submit to DVC, has anyone else had this experience? Is this the seller holding up and not signing or is it just this slow? They also provide zero updates.

I've paid more on three occasions, just to use Mason and Cammy. Hands-down, the BEST title agent in the business.
I didn't realize there was much of difference other than cost between the two. Since they are who I have chosen, I'm looking forward to dealing with them based on everyones reactions. :tink:

Fidelity didn't send our contract to ROFR until a week after we received verification that the seller had signed.

EDIT: We used Secure E-Sign, which then sent out a confirmation update that the seller had signed... If you used the same make sure to check that email chain as I didn't notice the received confirmation until a couple of hours later when I went to review something else.

Only one of mine had a delay and it was when it was a "surviving spouse" seller... so they apparently had an extra form to sign. In general, I've found the communication w/Fidelity to be very individual dependent. There are some agents who are fantastic and some where you get crickets. Unfortunate, but I just remind myself how much I'm saving when the frustration creeps in... they seem to have the best deals and/or the most reasonable sellers these days....
