DCA Food & Wine Festival 2023 Superthread - Read First Post for Updates - Now Updated with Full Menus

What do y’all think of the F&W line up this year? https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...california-adventure-food-wine-festival-2023/
A few new items I might try:
  • Petite Burrata: Grilled ciabatta with tomato and olive jam, burrata cheese, pesto, and freeze-dried balsamic (New)
  • Flowers & Bees: Gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and honey, hibiscus, and lavender syrups garnished with a purple pansy (New) *I’m a crazy garden lady and love my bees. Have to try this but normally not my lane.*
  • Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Flatbread with basil pesto (New)
  • Artichoke Pizzetta: Artichoke and roasted garlic cream cheese with sun-dried tomatoes, pickled onions, and lemon olive oil-drizzled micro greens (New)
There's only one thing I may try which is the chicken wings. Nothing else appeals to me. They've taken a lot of my past favs off of the menus in the past 3-5 years.

Oh that’s a bummer! What did they take off that you liked? I usually only try 2-3 items a year, so I don’t keep track.

They used to have fried artichokes for a number of years that fell off the menu a few years back. And I always got the fish and chips at paradise garden grill and that’s now gone as well.

Anyone find out the cost of the Sip & Savor Pass (and Magic Key version) yet so we can all do our math on what to get with our tabs :)

Not overly impressed with the menus. Too bad the Avocado booth, which I was looking forward to, is only offering items with fake meat. I'll probably try a few items here & there but nothing is really wowing me. Past menus had much more interesting sounding offerings and more to choose from. Too much beer but very little wine being offered.

I'm really excited for the flatbreads/pizzetta!

I will finish updating the first post with the rest of the menus later today.

I just looked at the menus and there are a few things that look interesting like a mac and cheese dish and a slider of some sort. The avocado booth should have an avocado margarita, like the one at La Cava in Epcot, that would have been awesome!

Yes!!! The fried artichokes were good! Thought they had them last year? Hmm. Didn’t noticed they were off this year. Bummer!

Is there a map available of where the booths are located? Or are they all together in a specific area (this is my first visit to DLR).

Lots of repeats from last year. Looks like a couple good new drinks and food items, but otherwise I'm kinda "meh" on the menu this year.

I really wish they would have a LOT more new things every year. Each year, they should make note of each booth's #1 seller, and only bring that one back the following year, making room for new items. Otherwise the festival gets stale.

And they need to lay off the Impossible items. That stuff is vile. I get that they have a contract with this company, but ugh, so many items I *would* try if they were real meat.

There will be a map available when the festival starts.

Most booths are on the main walkway between Carthay Circle and Goofy's Sky School, with one in Hollywood land and another over by Grizzly River Run.

I noticed the lack of ciders and seltzers this year, also. The Mimosas look good, but not much wine on offer overall. I think it's because beer has a larger profit margin for them and it's easier to put kegs in the booths than store tons of bottles of wine. At least you can still get a good variety of wine at Mendocino Terrace. And they offer mobile order now too.

Great, thanks!

I'm excited for the impossible options. As a vegetarian, there are already limited options, so happy there are menu items for my family :)

There are NOT limited vegetarian options at Disneyland Resort. On the contrary, there are almost an equal number at this point.

For the Food and Wine festival, specifically, the entire menu at Paradise Garden Grill is going to be plant based. That's an.entire counter service location. Even outside of the festival, this location has pretty much turned into a plant based eatery.

And every dining location has at least one vegetarian option on the menu, and not just salads either. There is tofu and impossible meat everywhere. Do some browsing of the menus at all dining locations and you will see every menu has a "plant based" section.

That's great! Thanks for sharing.

I'm not really impressed by the options for this year. Seems like a lot of repeats and many of the new items are meh IMO. I love the carbonara mac and cheese so I am happy that is back but other than that, I'm kind of disappointed. I am agree with @DLgal - they should be switching things up way more every year.

I get the impression that they are still recovering from being shut for most of the 2020 and the 2021 festivals, so they're going with what has been developed previously -- and why we haven't seen any new booths in 2022 and 2023.

When we went on [the very short lived] F&W walking tour in 2020, I asked the head chef when they start planning for the next F&W fest, and he said they begin menu planning in May.
